I’ve been talking about Thanksgiving so much, I thought I’d share some of my family’s traditions i’d like to pass on.
One thing that my Grandmother is famous for is her Thanksgiving Fudge Recipe. Which has been passed down through generations, and I would pass that on to my children. It is the most thickest creamest, delicious fudge you’ve ever tasted.
Another tradition is eating at the table, Thanksgiving brings family and friends together. Growing up we always ate in the living room or somewhere else. Thanksgiving was the one time we ate together as a family. I want to ensure that in my children.(i eat with my children at the table everyday now).
Giving thanks, My family was not very religious growing up. We Still are not a religious family, but growing up I started a tradition that instead of praying before our meal. We would just say what we are thankful for and share stories. I would love for my kids to carry that tradition.
Thanksgiving to me has always been about family. Thats whats important, I want my kids to know that no matter what happens in a family, there is always ways to bring them together and something to be thankful for.
Target has teamed up with TwitterMoms for thanksgiving contest where you can win a $50 target gift card.
