I am a late bloomer when it comes to making a Build A Bear. They have been around for 15 years, but my children and I made our first bears in 2009. Yes, I know it wasn’t that long ago.

I never really heard of Build A Bear growing up, I was much more worried about staying safe in my neighborhood. Then when I had children and they became interested in the store, I thought I could never afford it. They always wanted the $20 bears, So we always put it off. When I heard about a great deal they had any bear+ outfit+shoes for $29.99, I gave in and we went to Build A Bear Workshop.

I had it all wrong, it wasn’t that expensive and the kids fell in love with their new best friends. Getting to create and customize your own stuffed animal, truly is a joy.

We chose three of the most popular stuffed animals at the time. Hannah Montana bear, Hello Kitty, and the Autumn Bear.

I loved looking at my kids faces getting to make their Build A Bears!

Now we have over 20 furry friends and will be adding tons more to our collection.
