Disclosure: I’ve partnered with Hormel Foods as part of the Hormel Foods Extended Family Blogger Program. Throughout the year I’ll be receiving product, coupons, giveaways and promotions. However, no payment was given or expected for posting about the program, and as always, all opinions given here are fully my own.

Now that the kids are home for the summer, I am looking for fun things to make during Lunch. The kids had lunches packed all year long so I want to be able to spice it up and cook for them.

My kids asked for something with melted cheese and I wanted to do something different than grilled cheese. I decided to make Quesadillas, and the kids loved them.

I used Herdez Tortilla
Monteray Jack cheese
a frying pan

Heat the pan to medium, and place tortilla shell in frying pan. Top with shredded cheese, then another tortilla shell. flip after 1 minute and check that the cheese is melted.

When done put on a plate and cut into 4 slices serve.

  1. Sounds really good. We used to make quesadilla’s all the time with a mexican cheese blend and chicken. We’ve gotten out of the habit lately but we should do it again soon. The hormel shredded meats would work nicely too.
