I recently was invited to visit the Brooklyn Grange Farm. When I first heard about Rooftop farm I thought, okay a bunch of plants in pots on a roof. I was totally wrong, they actually turned the whole roof into a farm. They mainly grow vegetables and the only animals they have are chickens, but it was really cool.
There is also a beautiful view from the farm.
I brought my kids along for the fun and was so impressed, they were trying all kinds of veggies. They tried two different types of Kale, cucumbers tomatoes and so much more.
They also served us dinner, and since the event was held by Back To Nature we got to try their yummy Crazy Bugs macaroni.

Being a gardener too I find this totally amazing! I suppose with the right underlayment they could put dirt on top although it would be awfully heavy! Very neat post- thank you!
