2013 The Year Of Me

Every year I plan to lose weight and get better, but I never do. I always put everyone else ahead of me. This year I am trying my hardest to do everything for myself.

It’s very hard for me to do that, ever since I was a little girl I have always put everyone else ahead of myself. From having money to buy new clothes or fix my teeth. Letting mt hair grow down to my butt so someone else could use my hair etc.

Now that I am a Mother it has gotten worse, I rarely do anything for myself. Like if it came to me needing something comparing to my kids wanting something. My kids always win.

So this year, I am making myself better for me, my kids need me and I want to be able to play with them without losing my breath.

So this year: This is not a resolution, this is a goal.

My first priority is getting rid of Mirena, which I am scheduled to do this week. Then letting my hormones get back on balance.

I want to lose 30-40 lbs.

I want to get my teeth fixed, i need a lot of work done but never have the money.

get my acne under control, I swear I have the face of a 15 yr old.

These are my goals for 2013, what are yours?

  1. I’ve started using MyFitnessPal on my phone to help me watch my calorie intake and boy has that made a difference so far! I want to lose at least 15 pounds and at first the program seems like it takes forever to enter in foods but now, I have tons of favorites and recent foods that are already on my list and I can easily add them. I never realized how much & how badly I eat!

I also have been trying to keep my acne under control, which I’ve unfortunately had since I was in the 7th grade and now I’m 31! ugh! The things that have worked best so far is that I wash my pillow cases every time I do a load of laundry, even if they were washed yesterday… I’m also drinking more water daily, I notice that when I haven’t drank water in a few days I always break out. The last thing is that I’ve started taking Cranberry pills and Apple Cider Vinegar pills. I feel like the two are miracle supplements that have also helped with bladder infections, which I used to get all the time!

(I don’t know if your town has a dental college but here in Seattle, you can get dental work done for little to no money if you “volunteer” to get your work done at one of the colleges. They have waiting lists sometimes and only like to work on certain areas that they are working on in class but sometimes the wait is worth saving the extra cash! Most of the time the students will just watch as the teacher works on you, at least that’s what I’ve heard.)

I hope this wasn’t too preachy! I just wanted to share what’s been helping me, in this world of never-ending advice LOL

  2. I hear you. I have almost all the same goals and have had the same issues with accomplishing them.

    Thanks for the advice!!

  3. I also need to fix my teeth and other health issues. Also I need to save more money this year and finally get a new car.
