McKenzie got her first black eye a few ays ago. I got a call from the school nurse, that she had fallen off the see saw at school and hit her face on it. I was worried but the nurse said she was fine and went back to class.
When I picked her up, her face was a bit swolen and red, but didn’t look to bad. The next morning you could see the bruising, from her cheek all the way to her eye.

This is my favorite time of year, well sometimes. Just depends on if the snow goes away. LOL! This year April has been very nice, plus Earth Day is in April. I love Earth day.
We celebrated by having a picnic and cleaning up the park and the streets around out house.
I used my new reusable bag, which I love for outing and picnics.
I love to picnic and my kids love to do it too. Our sandwiches were all Hormel’s Natural choice Turkey and Ham. I love that the packaging is made 100% from recycled materials. Our picnic was all Earth friendly, sandwiches were packed in reusable containers, we had reusable water bottles and recyclable juice boxes.
April 22nd marks the 43rd anniversary of the celebration of Earth Day! This year, the Earth Day Network announced that the main focus of Earth Day will be to help put a face to climate change. One of the easiest ways to help prevent climate change is through a commitment to minimizing waste and recycling as much as possible. In order to make Earth Day a success, it is essential that each and every person set environmental goals, contribute and do their part.

My son has been learning about the enviroment and recycling at school, and asked if we could clean up out front of our house. Sounds weird right? Where we live we really don’t have a front yard it’s like a walkway and then the driveway. We live in a duplex on a hill. The thing is though there is a wooded area in front of our gated walkway, and we live between a middle school and a 7-11. Plus there is a gas station/service station across the street.
So there is a lot of garbage in the wooded area, from the students and people going to 7-11 and then walking back.
So our Earth day project today was to pick up the garbage outside and if we see any garbage throughout the day. There really is no reason to litter, it’s bad for teh earth and there are garbages everywhere.

I am thinking a lot of this never got cleaned up after Hurricane Sandy, because we found clothes, political signs etc. Very Weird?
We collected two grocery bags full, plus there is still more out there. It is either stuck in the ground, or to steep on the hill to get.

This is actually my favorite,because when my kids were younger this happened all the time. I would see a brown stain on my kids clothes or hands etc. and I always dreaded having to find out what it was, but as a parent you have to take that chance.
Luckily for me ost of the time it was Chocolate which was easy to get out by throwing it in with the whites and clorox. There have been a few times when I’ve seen a brown mark on the wall, like in the bathroom. I didn’t even want to chance it, I just used Clorox wipe to clean it up.
Trust me though like most moms, I have been in the situation where I regretted finding out what the brown stain was.

I have not eaten at a McDonald’s in over 8 months. Honestly, I loved the Big N Tasty! Unfortunately they did away with it.
So when I was approached by McDonald’s to try there new McWraps, I decided why not. I never get to treat myself to lunch, so I took the plunge. LOL!
I tried the Chicken and Ranch McWrap, which features ranch sauce, seasoned rice vinegar, cheddar jack cheese, sliced cucumbers, and tomato.
** It was actually really good, Like a chicken salad wrapped in a tortilla. I could eat it everyday for lunch. The only thing is I wish it would of had a bit more chicken it it. I think i counted 3 strips, and it seemed the middle was nothing but cucumber and tomato.
