not so glam anymore

can you still wear a bikini? after having children a lot of woman go to mom suits. i could rock a bikini again if i ate a little better. i have little will power. i checked out boca wich gave some great advice to better living

when i was a teen, before i became a mother. i wore bikinis, thats all i would wear. i had a flat stomach and a bikini fit.ah those were the good ol days! i was at the pool everyday in my cute bikini. living in phx thats the only option you really have!

now that i have had children and put on some weight. i dread hearing bikini. i have a belly and stretch marks. those two things and bikini do not mix.i went bathing suit shopping the other day. tried on one piece and the new tankinis. a one piece was okay. it made me feel a bit awkward and my pouchy stomach still hung out. i tried on a tankini and loved it. lose enough so you can’t see my belly hanging over and no signs of my stretch marks. plus it made me feel like i was still in a bikini. i would love to invest in a tankini, still a bikini but enough bot to show my emabarassed tummy. they are too exspensive for me though. so for now i wear shorts and tshirt. though i have not been swimming in like two years. my kids have a kiddy pool in the backyard. i get in there with them.

out here and in a lot of public pools you can’t wear street clothes, so until i can find the right suit i am steering clear of the pool area.

can we just order pizza

are you americas worst cook, if you said yes then you should head over there and enter. the parent bloggers network is having a blog blast and they want you to tell about your cooking mishaps. what better way to embarass myself, as the burn queen! ha

when i was in my teens. my parents where never around to make dinner, so i had to learn on my own. i can make a good macaroni and cheese, or a hot dog.  as i got older and started my family, i relized that would n’t cut it i was going to have to feed children. as much as they may want too, they can’t eat macaroni and cheese all day long. so i started looking in cook books, getting recipes.

everything turned out horrible. i fried chicken to the point where it was hard as a rock. thats when i called in for pizza. i didn’t know you were suppost to put flour on it. i just threw it in the deep fryer for 20 minutes. thats what i do with chicken wings so i thought it would work. not so much!

i’ve tried to prepare a thanksgiving dinner for my family. we ended up going out, because the turkey was burnt and the stuffing was to mushy.

for some reason besides having bad days with cooking, i am most famous for burning my self while cooking. everytime i open the oven i end up burning my arm. it’s just because i’m trying to get my kids away from the oven and don’y pay attention. there was even one instance. i was warming up spagetti sauce and turned it on a little to high. well while i was stirring it it popped out on my hand, now i have a burn on my knuckle, and another in the middle of my finger.  besides my self i burn cookies and cakes. i can not bake for anything.

so when disaster strikes i order out. it’s exspensive but i’d rather not make my family sick when they try to eat one of my disasterous recipes.

brag time

The Parent Bloggers www.blog.parentbloggers.com  want me to brag about my kids today. my kids have a lot of strenghths, but on the same note they also have weeknesses. i would love to read a book called child strengths by Jennifer Fox and learn how to discover more of their strengths.  go check out her website to learn more about the book http://www.jeniferfox.com

i have three children. My son is only two months old so obviously I can’t really see much in him. he is a very healthy and happy baby though.  constantly smiling. My oldest daughter is 2 years old, she’ll be three in april.   she’s going to have success in so many things.  she loves to sing and dance. she knows her abcs and can count to 20.  she can say our last name perfectly. I can’t tell you how big of an accomplishment that is. adults can never get it right. Walleshauser! She is a scientist right now she knows all about molecules and astronomy.  she makes the family stuff to eat all the time. It’s made out of toys and crayons, but it’s the thought that counts shes on her way. one thing i’m so proud of is her ability to learn things so fast. I’m 23 and know like 5 words in spanish. My daughter watches Dora and Diego. now she runs around the house speaking Spanish.

My middle daughter is 21 months old.  She can do most of what her sister can do. her abcs, can count to 15. she is our character comedien. She goes around singing songs. Her favorites are the Wonder Pets and Elmo songs.  She can make people laugh in an instant just by making faces or putting on a show with her toys.   My kids are really young and i know that i will discover much more of their strengths over time, but I’am so proud of them for what they’ve been able to show me so far.
