candace over at mamanista is having a baby shower hosted by happy panda baby
game 1:
when i was 9 i was in a car accident and had to get a lumbar shunt(tube that drains fluid from my head) i was told that i couldn’t get pregnant. the slight chance i did would result in a miscarriage. so i never thought much about kids after that. when i was 19 i got married and a few weeks later i found out i was pregnant. i was so scared because of what the doctors said and the fact that my husband would be leaving for iraq when the baby is due. i had a very hard pregnancy sick all 9 months. i was ordered to take it easy, which was hard. my husband was suppost to deploy with his unit a week before i was due, but luckly his commander let him stay a couple weeks longer, to see the birth. he had to leave 2 weeks after she was born. missed 11 months of her life. i was so thankful that my body could handle the pregnancy and that my hubby at least got to see her birth. (if a doctor tells you your chances are limited in the fertility area, have faith it could happen. it did for me)
*my second child was a couple months after he got home, i got pregnant while he was on r&r, then my third 18 months later. they were both equally dificult labors.
game 3
best advice for parents is invest in a baby carrier, it’ll help you hold baby while you clean or snything else. also ask for diapers as a gift, you’ll go through tons and people are going to give you clothes by the bundle.
worst advice- taking a long road trip while your pregnant. you’ll stop a million times to pee, get sick etc.
funniest advice-take advantage of being pregnant. have your husband rub your feet, or back, take the front row parking, trips to ice cream late at night. or any cravings you have. your pregnant you deserve all. your husband may get irritated but your the one whos carring the baby!
