I feel like all I have been doing is eating for days. Seriously, we cooked a big meal on Christmas Eve and Christmas night. Now we have a fridge full of leftovers, that we have to eat.

Christmas Eve we made steak, roasted potatoes and salad. So Christmas morning we decided to do breakfast with leftovers. We made steak and eggs with roasted potatoes. To spice it all up we added Hormel salsa. For the salad, yes I love to eat salad with breakfast. I added some cranberries and Hormel bacon bits.

November 3, 2013 was National sandwich day. The sandwich is truly the American lunchtime staple, and with a variety of styles and flavors, it comes as no surprise that it has its very own holiday!

There are so many different kinds of Sandwiches and a million ways to make sandwiches your own style.

My favorite sandwich would be Turkey sandwich on a sub roll with Mayo, lettuce and Pickles. I am very particular about my lunchmeat. I want to make sure it’s the best and it’s healthy.

My kids on the other hand prefer Peanut Butter and Jelly. November is also Peanut Butter lovers Month! So you can enjoy your variety of sandwiches all month long.

I love Hormel Natural Choice Lunchmeat. Hormel Natural Choice is one of Hormel Foods fastest growing brands. The product line includes great-tasting premium deli sandwich meats, Applewood-smoked dinner ham, carved chicken breast, bacon, Canadian bacon, pepperoni, hard salami and sausage. Hormel Natural Choice products are 100 percent natural with zero preservatives and no artificial colors or MSG. Hormel Natural Choice deli meats are also gluten free; the perfect, health-conscious addition to your sandwich!

October is National Chili Month #HormelFamily

October has been declared National Chili Month. Prior to 1935, chili was popular only in the Southern, Southwestern and Western regions of the United States. Hormel Foods is responsible for introducing chili to the Midwest as well as introducing new, unique ways to eat and enjoy chili.

While it is popular to eat chili in a bowl, most prefer to use it as a topping on hot dogs, chips and so much more. I am not big on eating it by the bowl, but love a chili cheese dogs, or fries.

To celebrate we made our favorites Chili Cheese dogs and fries, While my husband chose to go for a chili dip.

We don’t get to tailgate a lot anymore now that we live in NY. It gets cold by the time all the big games start. We try to still do it every now and then though, and when we visit family in Arizona or North Carolina.

When we tailgate we have tons of great food. We have the usual hamburgers and hot dogs, but we also add in Lloyds baby back ribs. They are my kids favorite. All the sides too, Chips and Chi Chi salsa, or hummus.

One of the main things I love about tailgating is just getting to spend time with Family and friends.
In a recent survey 76% of people think Tailgating is a crucial part of going to a game. 73% would rather eat their own food, then the stadium food.

I can definitely agree with that. It can be costly getting food at a stadium, versus bringing and cooking your own.

Making Ultimate Party Meatballs

Disclosure: I received Heinz, Johnsonville and Ocean Spray products in exchange for sharing this recipe. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

One meal my kids absolutely love to eat, is anything made with meatballs. So far the only meal I have been able to perfect is spaghetti and meatballs. Whenever I try to make a meatball hero it doesn’t turn out right. I just haven’t found the right ingredients.

I was given the chance to try Ultimate party Meatballs. It is a simple recipe to make in the slow cooker. All you need is…
Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce
Heinz Chili sauce
Meatballs

Place meatballs in slow cooker
Combine sauces and pour over meatballs
Cover and cook 4 hours on high

cimg0157

It’s that simple to make. Plus not a big mess to clean up afterward, if you use slow cooker liners.

*They really turned out great, Just the right amount of flavor. We made meatball subs and decided to even have a few as a appetizer before our meal. I received a coupon to try Johnsonville’s new frozen meatballs with this recipe, unfortunately they are not available in my area yet. We ended up making our own meatballs with ground sausage.

This would be a great recipe to make this holiday and enjoy. For more information visit here.

Pepperidge Farm introduces Goldfish Puffs, Perfect For Snacks

Disclosure: No monetary compensation was received, a product was provided for my review.

School is back in session and that means that I have to have a lot of snacks on hand. The kids pack their lunches most days, have snack time at school and usually ask for a snack when they get home.

Their favorite snack is cheese crackers of course, they love Goldfish. We recently were able to try the new Pepperidge Farm Goldfish Puffs.

At first I thought they were going to be like the puffs for babies, just a bigger cracker. These looked like a chip kind of, or as my daughter say a Cheetos chip. They taste exactly like them too. A cheesy puff snack.

They have different flavors of the snacks:
Mega Cheese
Cheddar Bacon
Buffalo Wing

IMG_0662

IMG_0663

My favorite is the mega cheese, it is just the right amount of cheese and a perfect snack. My kids took a liking to the Cheddar Bacon and My daughter like the Buffalo Wings. These snacks do stick to your fingers so if you send them as a snack to school, make sure you pack some napkins.

What’s your favorite Goldfish snack?

Udi’s Has Brought The Fun Back For My Family #Allergy #SP #DairyFree

Disclosure: No compensation was received, products were provided for review. All opinions are my own.

Having allergies in my family is not fun at all, there are certain things my son and husband can’t eat. They have a dairy intolerance and have to miss out on almost all desserts and breads.

When we first found out we had milk intolerance, it was so hard everything had to change. I had to change our diets and the way I cook, we have to miss out on a lot of our favorite foods.

We were introduced to Udi’s food last year and I am being honest when I saw that it has changed our lives. My family can enjoy things like muffins, bagels, bread, and even cinnamon rolls without having to worry about milk. They are all Dairy free.

IMG_0699

when I opened the box, the muffins and cinnamon rolls were gone the same day. My kids and husband couldn’t get enough of them. The cinnamon rolls even come with a icing topping.

If you have a food allergy, whether it be dairy, nut, gluten etc. I suggest you try Udi’s.
