Best BBQ Beef Around #HormelFamily

We lived in the south for 4 1/2 years and came to love the taste of slow cooked BBQ beef, no one can make it the way they can in the south. Unfortunately for me I don’t even have the patience to try. It’s a lot of time, even though the slow cooker does most of the work. So I have found the best BBQ beef around and its right in the grocery store.

IMG_1932

Luckily for me their is Lloyd’s BBQ Beef available and ready anytime. All you have to do is heat it up in the microwave. It has cme one of my easy go to meals for dinner or lunch and my kids love it.

IMG_1933

This has become one of our favorite past time meals. The best BBQ places are so far away and making it myself is so time consuming and not to mention all the ingredients are a bit expensive.

Lloyd’s BBQ comes in both Chicken and Beef and retail for $3.99 at retailers Nationwide. You can find out more about Lloyd’s products here.

Hot Pocket Bites Are Such A Fun Snack

Summer is here and the kids are home all day long and every couple hours all I hear is “Can I have a snack” over and over again. I do’t like to give my kids a lot of sugar so I opt for something healthy like fruit or something very simple to make.

Hot Pockets now come in Bites, which is the perfect alternative for snack time.

DSCN1468

Hot Pocket Bites come in three different varieties Ham and Cheese, Cheese Pizza, and Pepperoni Pizza.

** We tried all 3 varieties and loved them, even my daughter who hates mozzarella cheese ate the pepperoni bites and liked them. They are so easy to make just put on a plate and microwave for about 2 minutes and you have the perfect snack.
My kids kept asking for more, we went through 3 bags in one day, although the bags are a bit small. My favorite would had to be the ham and cheese, it was so good and tasted like you were eating a fresh off the grill Ham and cheese sandwich.

New Limoncello From Stop and Shop Giveaway Closed

Stop and Shop grocery stores have introduced a new line of foods and drinks called Limoncello from Stop and Shop. The line features baked goods, juice, cookies, and so much more.

DSCN0963

Limoncello is a flavor authentically derived from Italy, where the Sorrento lemon is cultivated for its sweet and tangy flavor. Stop & Shop has harnessed that flavor and infused it into more than 30 products found throughout the store in both the fresh and non-perishable departments.

You can incorporate Stop & Shop’s uniquely sweet Limoncello creations into one’s meal time, snack time or enjoy anytime. Add Limoncello olive oil to grilled vegetables, Limoncello pesto to pasta, sweeten up morning toast with Limoncello marmalade or end a cook-out with one of the varieties of Limoncello cookies, cakes or ice cream.

DSCN1036

*** I absolutely love their Limoncello line, and have tried so much from it. My husband thinks I am a bit crazy for it, but it is so good. I have tried the lemonade, ice cream sandwiches, cookies, lemon covered almonds, and even lemon flavored canoli.

I think my favorite was the canoli, it didn’t have any dairy in it, so my husband and son could eat it too. It was a great addition to our breakfast.

I am giving away a $25 gift card to Stop and Shop so one of my readers can try the Limoncello in store.

Now that the kids are home for the summer, I am looking for fun things to make during Lunch. The kids had lunches packed all year long so I want to be able to spice it up and cook for them.

My kids asked for something with melted cheese and I wanted to do something different than grilled cheese. I decided to make Quesadillas, and the kids loved them.

I used Herdez Tortilla
Monteray Jack cheese
a frying pan

Heat the pan to medium, and place tortilla shell in frying pan. Top with shredded cheese, then another tortilla shell. flip after 1 minute and check that the cheese is melted.

When done put on a plate and cut into 4 slices serve.

Now that summer is finally here, the kids are wanting to get out and go to the park, hike and have fun. We don’t go out to eat all that often so we have started packing picnics for our adventures.

The kids love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and always opt for Skippy’s chocolate peanut butter with jelly.

For the adults we have a sandwich with lunchmeat. I prefer Turkey and my husband ham. We always add chips and fun snacks into the mix and it turns out to be a perfect picnic.

Hormel has great flavors and they are 100% natural. No preservatives and no artificial ingredients for a nutritious lunchmeat option that tastes great and is better than the deli. The prepackaged natural deli meats even come in a recyclable package

We had a fun picnic right on the water and it turned out to be a great day with the best food.

I talk about it a lot, but being a mom can be stressful and very busy. Some days you just want to plop on the couch after a long day and relax. Not have to worry about cooking, or cleaning. I had one of those nights a few days ago.
The kids were home all day fighting, I was cleaning and trying to keep the occupied while packing for our move. I just didn’t feel like cooking over a hot stove after that, so I pulled out the Lloyd’s pulled Pork that Hormel had sent us, and it was a instant hit.

DSCN1156

I love southern BBQ, and while this isn’t quite what you can get in the south it was delicious. Not to mention I don’t have to worry about meat cooking in a slow cooker all day.

DSCN1154

Just put the pulled pork in a bowl microwave and add BBQ sauce and you have a yummy family dinner.

Everyone loved it and we can’t wait to try the other varieties including pulled Chicken, and Beef Brisket.

Hormel is introducing a few new meat items to their line up this year. One of them being new taco meats. It’s so simple to make dinner now with Hormel’s Taco meats.

DSCN1147

The meats are already seasoned and ready to go. It is already fully cooked and you just warm it up in the microwave or cook it on the stove top.

DSCN1148

We tried out the shredded chicken. It said it was already seasoned and was the dark meat.
I would of actually preferred it to be white meat but it was good. Maybe could of used a bit more seasoning, but everyone liked it. It was the perfect addition to our taco night. I used it on a tostada with refried beans and lettuce and cheese.

choose from shredded chicken, shredded beef, shredded pork, or beef crumbles. These meats are perfect for Tacos, quesadillas, tostadas, burritos or salads. Which variety will you choose?

All In One Cooking machines: Separating Fact From Hype

All-in-one cookers can be amazing devices, but savvy home cooks are always looking to focus theirresources on functionality, not hype. The best all-in-one device for your kitchen isn’t the one with thehighest price tag, the slickest packaging, or featured on the most cooking shows, it has the features you’lluse day after day in a solid, reliable package. There are just two major factors you should look for whenyou’re in the market for an all-in-one cooking machine to find the best product for the best price.

Versatility
The strength of an all-in-one cooking machine is obviously its versatility, and the best models bring asmany functions as possible together into a compact form factor. Basic models enable tasks like choppingand mixing as well as basic cooking, but more advanced cookers add settings specifically designed foremulsifying, melting, browning and other precision cooking tasks. Harvey Norman has one of theInternet’s largest selections of premium all-in-one cookers, all rated highly for their range of uses.

Practicality
Many shoppers become dazzled by advertisements and professional demonstrations, but never take thetime to consider how a given device fits into their individual kitchen and lifestyle. A device with specsand features light-years beyond the competition is just another silhouette in the cabinet if it won’t beused on a regular basis, and this is why ease of use is such a critical factor in the practicality of all-in-onecooking devices. Controls should be intuitive at a glance, and any instructions that are required shouldbe clear and concise.

The actual experience of using the device is the most important aspect of how practical it is for yoursituation. Read reviews of various units to assess factors such as noise level, long-term stability andsimplicity of maintenance, all of which are factors that can greatly impact the regularity with which youwill use the machine. Remember to look for features you’ll frequently use rather than marveling at a listof vague possibilities.

The market for all-in-one cooking machines is filled with two types of products: those that perform thesignature tasks of these devices, such as beating, chopping, mixing, or cooking, and those that do thesame things at a much higher cost. Separating the reality of all-in-one cooking machines from the hypeof marketing and reputation not only saves money on the purchase immediately, but delivers more valueover time.

With three kids time can get away from me, and the day can get stressful. When that happens I am just not in the mood to cook dinner, so I opt for something easy to make my family.
