Black friday is coming up “biggest shopping day of the year” and I’m not really that interested. Yes there are some good deals and I will be going to one store at least.
I care about the clothes and toys, not the electronics like a lot of people. for example: Walmart will have childrens pajamas for $3 and hoodies for $3 that is worth it enough for me to go. I don’t think i’ll have to fight a crowd for that. I would like to go early just to make sure i get the right sizes.
You can check out the Walmart ad in todays paper or search black friday and tons of sites will have all the ads.
So here is a question for you! Are you going to go shopping Friday? Or even fight the crowds
I wrote a post not that long ago about my daughter finally getting potty trained at age 3. Well I got some scrutiny for waiting so long, when most people potty train at age 2.
We wait until our children are ready, i’m not a pushy parent and will never push anything including potty training on my children. Did i try introducing her to the potty earlier. Yes and she didn’t want anything to do with it.
I think that when you push potty training, they are more likely to have accidents.
ANYWAYS:
We promised her when she was fully potty trained we would buy her a Tinker Bell bed. so Wednesday we had a bed delivered just for her and bought Tinker Bell sheets and comforter.
She is super excited
My 23 month old son, has had normal cold symptoms for two weeks. The past couple days though he has had a fever of 104. Tylenol would make it go down, but it would come right back up in a couple hours.
I hesitated the doctor and ER, because i didn’t want to catch H1N1, even though he has been vaccinated. So Wednesday he started having trouble breathing and fever went back up. I finally took him to the ER, and only waited about 5 minutes(good time).
They couldn’t find anything wrong with him, but were worried about his breathing. They decided to schedule chest X-rays, and found pneumonia.
So not knowing much about it, i immediately freaked out. All i knew was it can be deadly. They gave me a prescription for amoxicillin and set me home.
that simple. who knew?
Now a few days later he is his perky old self and fevers gone.
Have you ever had pneumonia or are you prepared for it this flu season?
Happy Halloween everyone. Have a great time with your little ones/
Please please please keep in mind some safety tips
Always stay with your child. If your child id under the age of 13 I don’t they should be with an adult. (with all the kids being snatched lately, never be to precautious)
Make sure your child is wearing a jacket. Yes it may cover their costume, but it’s cold.
Always check your childs candy before they eat it, even when your walking around Trick or treating. Throw unwrapped candy away, you don’t know where it’s been. (Probably in the hands of someone with H1N1 and your child does not need that.)
Keep your bag of candy closed and close to you. Yes people do still bag snatch.
So some of these tips maybe off the wall, but I’m only 25 it wasn’t to long ago I was a Trick or Treater. So I know what can happen.
Fiber for All is dedicated to the mission of advancing the development and expansion of fiber technology in America. We believe that every American should have access to the speed and freedom that fiber to the home can offer.
The internet is used for everything, blog picture sharing, keeping connected with relatives, even college classes. I even took high school classes online a while back. Why own a T.V, when you can watch movies, news, talk with others. If the internet was the only technology avalable to us, i think people would be fine. The internet is T.V., a phone, a video camera, and more!
I have basic high speed internet or WIFI, but it still goes slow, it really depends on your computer. Imagine all the possiblities that the internet can do. I live over 2000 miles away from all my family and the internet is my sanctuary. I keep in contact, I’m a blogger, It’simages of my kids, my latest source of information, my phone and more! With Fiber optic Internet speeds are 15% faster!
I wish I had Fiber for all, It’s the way of the future! And who wants to be stuck with slow internet speed, or lose connection at all. Some people have access to fiber via services like Verizon FiOS and AT&T U-Verse they are the small minority. The fiber infrastructure of the United States needs to be improved to help foster innovation and technological advancement. I’m not one of them, I am probably one of the few with only a land line. Plus i use cable internet phone. The problem is when your internet is out so is your phone. thats not a ideal situation, exspecially if you have three small children like me. Always need a way to contact authorities.
My husband is a college student and on the computer constintly, weather its to post homework online, work on a research project or find a science journal. I can’t tell you how many times he has lost connection in the middle of a assignment or the computer froze. we really need to switch To Fiber Optic, because the internet is keeping us sane! (I don’t mean that badly, it helps us stay connected, find out info when our kids are sick, homework and more)
Fiber for All is having a contest for bloggers and twitter users.
you could win this package for joining the Fiber for all movement!
don’t forget to follow them on twitter @fiberforall
Faster Intera old snet, Phone, T.V, and computer all connected together. who could ask for more. go visit the site right now.
This would be a dream come true for us, we have T.V’s with no buttons, a old slow computer, and a phone with broken caller id, we need a change!
So I have decided to attend the wedding with my hubby. (sometimes you need to give in to make your spouse happy). I’m still looking for alternatives for babysitting. If i have to wear jeans i will.
Ultimately I am leaving at 830 900 to put my children to put. I don’t think staying out all night is fair to my kids. so a couple hours won’y kill me, i guess.
thanks to all who left suggestions
priorities that is.
so with all the fuss about blogher, and people wanting to go, people going but now being in debt, etc. etc. etc.
i will probably never attend blogher, it’s not that i wouldn’t benefit or that it’s not worth it.
well in someways its not worth it. I have heard bloggers say they went into debt to go, didn’t have sponsors. that is not worth it to me. i mean the 800 that went to blogher could of gone to diapers, rent, food.
plus its going to be even more exspensive next year as its in new york city.
anyways, like i said my priorities need to be set on something else. before i should ever start asking for sponsorships to blogher. i need to ask for sponsorships, save money to get my teeth fixed. i need 9000 worth of dentistry that my insurance won’t cover. (thanks to all the dentist that have screwed me over and got me to this point).
Right now living is a priority, and its hard with the economy and not being able to find a job. plus bringing in little income from my blog.
since i’m not going to blogher this weekend, and i’m staying at home. i’m entering a contest with mom of 2 boys and cozicape to win $100
my reasons for staying home this weekend are
1.My house would fall apart without me
2. I would miss my babys to much
3. blogher isn’t everything and family is more important
4. take my kids to the park
5.eat some good cookout
6. get the kids to help me get some work done around the house
7.spend some quality time with the hubby($100 could take us on a date!)
8.watch the new movie coraline with my kids
9. get some good lovin from my hubby!
10.relax and enjoy my family
please leave me comments this is how i get chosen to win!!!!!
my husband and I were invited to a wedding, but my children were not. well i guess they can attend the wedding but not the reception.
Hubby and i are at each others throat over who can watch the kids. all our family will be at the wedding, so thats out. we don’t know anyone or have close friends out here. The bride is offering her babysitter, but it’s going to cost me. now you figure $5 a hour per kid, for 6 or 7 hours that adds up. i won’t be able to afford it.
I don’t want to go, i am not a big party event person, and would rather stay home with the kids. my hubby said i’m embarassing him by not going., since its his family.
I have never been invited to a wedding where kids were not invited.
at the end of the day, this wedding will break me. its not mine
150 for hubbys tux(in the wedding)
120 for babysitting
75 dress for me
100 on dress clothes for kids
100 on wedding gift.
$500? is it worth it
What woudl you do? GIve me advice people, because i don’t know
