I was never proposed to, me and my hubby were living together and We both just said let’s get married and went to a courthouse and married. Nothing fancy, no waiting, no ring. 

It would be nice to have an actual wedding someday. If I could do it all over again, my dream proposal would be….

Go to a movie and nice dinner afterward. Walk me to the door and ask. I’ve never really been a a fancy person, so I just want it simple.

Cleveland Sonny Carr, 30, is in the Army for nine years and is scheduled to make a fourth trip to Afghanistan in July 2010. He and his fiancée, Maya, have been together for one year but have known each other since the eighth grade. Maya teaches 7th grade reading, and is working on her Masters for School Administration. The relationship is long-distance, as he lives in Clarksville, TN, and she lives in Chicago, IL.

***I chose this couple, because they have come a long way and deserve it.  They have 3 children together and He will be deployed in July. Being a Former Army wife, i know the money is not that great, and it’s good to have the great memory of a wedding while deployed(what if something happens?).

The new season of The New Adventures of Old Christine is hilarious.   In the latest episode Barb (Wanda Sykes) complains when Christine flakes out an important errand.  Christine has lots of excuses but the reality is that she’s a flaky friend.

I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve had a friend flake out on me. The dumbest thing is it’s a lame excuse.   I had a friend flake out on me during a playdate. She said she was watching cartoons.

In this episode Christine turns out to be the flaky friend with the lame excuse.

The New Adventures of Old Christine airs Wednesdays 8/7c on CBS.

In the episode airing this week Ritchie (Christine’s son) is asked to the school dance by the most popular girl in school!  Christine is thrilled and pulls out all the stops to make it an impressive first date.  She rents the couple a limo and Ritchie wears a tux to the dance.  She even gloats about her son’s new popularity to the more popular ‘meanie’ moms. When Christine overhears that Richie’s date is about to break it off, she tries to bribe her with $100 to stay together, which only makes the situation worse, much worse. 

When you think about it, being a parent you want to do everything you can to make your child happy. Even go to extreme measures. 

The only thing I can think of that would be considered extreme is I’m very overprotective of my children. If they go out of my sight for one second I am on pins and needles.

My children are still rather young, but the best fatherly advice My husband has given our children is always be honest. It will only bring you good things in life. 

Growing up my father didn’t give out

too much advice, but the best I could remember is to follow your heart. If you set your mind and heart to something it will get accomplished. Great advice.

The only thing I can think of that I’ve done thats ridiculous for my daughter at school is just be over supportive.  I always want to be involved in everything, and I am the first mom to turn papers, money etc. in.  Now there are times where my child has embarrassed me. Just like another scene from the first episode of the middle. Brick lies to his mom about what day to be there.  My DD will tell me something, and i’ll confront the teacher, only for her to tell the teacher it wasn’t true.

I admit, i give in at times and just give my kids something unhealthy. I want them to eat healthy, but at times there is no time to make healthy snacks, or i’m just to tired. I have found some interesting healthy recipes to help ease the pain.

Yogurt and sliced fruit:

4 cups strawberry-banana yogurt                                                             

1 cup of granola

1 banana sliced

4 strawberries sliced

Top yogurt with granola,bananas and strawberries.

Is this my personnal recipe? No, I am not a good cook at all.
