****This is really a cool tool.  I hate it when Hubby tells me to go find a socket and i open our case and none of them are in order and there is always a few missing. The Ready wrench ends all that. One simple tool that’s all you need! It was so easy to use, I tried it on my daughters bike and some furniture. This would be a great gift for the fix it dad!

U by Kotex Makes Having A Period More Comfortable

Growing up I hated getting my period. Tampons were uncomfortable and pads made me feel like I was wearing a diaper.  It was the worst time when I was a teenager, specially when you have to sit in class for hours and can’t go to the bathroom.

U by Kotex is a a new line of tampons, pads and liners, which feature a slim, thinner design, making them easier and more comfortable to use. And with bright, bold packaging and colors. I had my dad buy me pads growing up and he never minded, because the packaging was boring. Plus he’d embarrass me when someone look or asked about them.

U by Kotex has bright new packaging which I think is great for girls, but I’m not sure if my hubby would be willing to go pick these up at the store. They stand out a lot more than other items in the cart.  I received the liners and These are really thin, which is great for me. They are comfortable and you really can’t tell you’re wearing it, plus it keeps you fresh.

****I absolutely love Lysol, It is so great to have around when you have little kids. 1.    If you don’t change your oil regularly, how will it affect the car?

Changing your oil to meet your vehicles specification is the key to the survival of your vehicle. Using high-quality motor oil is also vital to protecting your investment. If major engine damage occurs from the use of motor oil that does not meet the manufacturers specifications, rebuilding or replacing an engine can cost between $1,500 to $3000, or more.

2.    If your tires are not properly inflated, will they eat up gas or ruin your car?

Tires should be inflated to the vehicle manufacturer’s recommendations printed on the vehicle door placard or in the owner’s manual. Properly inflated tires can improve gas mileage by around 3.3 percent, according to the U.S. Department of Energy. I suggest checking your tire pressure and tread levels once a month.  Keeping an emergency tire inflator product in your trunk like Fix-A-Flat is a good idea as well.

3.    What’s one way you can maximize fuel economy and save money without damaging your engine?

Motor oil isn’t something you want to skimp on. Using high quality motor oil like Pennzoil or Quaker State in the proper weight and grade can help maximize fuel economy. Investing in high-quality motor oil is worth minimizing the hassle of engine related failure – it’s cheap “peace of mind.”

4.    What is the best way for women to be more in the know when it comes to their cars? I mean I go for a tune up and I feel like because I’m a woman and don’t know a lot about cars, they don’t do a thorough job.

Here are some great resources to become more car savvy:  AskPatty.com, CarCare.org  and MotorOilMatters.org. Knowledge is power, so the more we know as women, the better we position ourselves to make informed decisions as opposed to being given random direction.

 5.    What is the best oil for your car?

Getting ready for Summer fun

This will be our last summer here in North Carolina, we are moving to Cold Spring Harbor NY(1 hour from NYC). So we are going to try and make this summer great by visiting the beach, Boon, meuseums, zoos here before we leave.
