it’s almost vacation time!

i am in need of a good vacation. i haven’t went on a actual vacation in 4 years. since i had kids. my hubby gets out of school the 31. so he has a 20 day vacation before school starts again. we decided we are going to florida!

i have never been to florida so i am so excited. he has family out there, so i mean we will be visiting people. we are going to hit the beach definitly. my daughter wants to go to disney but we do not have the money to go. it’s 70 per person. thats to much for my family.

there really isn’t a lot to do on the alantic coast where our family lives. it seems most everything is on the gulf coast. i found the pelican wildlife refuge, manatee observation center and the brevard zoo. so those might be fun. i’m just happy to get out of this little town.

do you know of any fun things to do in or around melbourne fl?

my husband served in the military for 4 years on active duty. he served two years in iraq. when he got out he went on a year in the national gaurd. everything was pretty much handed to him in the army. great benefits, great pay, they had days where you could eat free at restaurants, or even get into the fair or amusment parks for free. now that he is back to civillan life. everything is tarnished.

i feel like when your a veteran no one appreciates you, they only care when you are on active duty. people won’t even offer jobs to veterans. i mean there are the people who will come up and say thank you and shake your hand. which is always greatful. there are also the people who look at you like your crazy.

the war had some effect on my husband but he came back the same kindof. his main problem is he has a short fuse now. the main point is i wish people, companys, america would treat veterans of the iraq and afganistan war the same as they treat active duty.

i’m so jealous i’m not going to blogher. i keep getting updates about how great it is. i really wish i could go. i could never come up with that kindof money. i don’t have a great support system. my hubby would never let me go.

i am hoping i can go to the one day confrence in greensboro, but i have to come up with $100 and i need to find someone to watch my three children. so i doubt i’ll be able too. plus it doesn’t seem like there would be as much opportunity as the national confrence. i mean they are getting these swag bags and tons of free stuff. plus companys are giving away a laptop and other stuff. i think they should hold a confrence on the east coast for us who live to far away from cali.

i’ll stop complaining
