I Just Love Picture Day

Yesterday was picture day, it’s the one day that I can get my kids to have big smiles and don’t complain about being dressed up.

You would think being a blogger, my kids would smile for pictures all the time. Nope, they hate them.
This is what I usually get:

So it’s good to finally get pics like this. Why does picture day have to once a year.

My kids and I love quesadillas, but I have never made them at home. I finally decided to try and they turned out really well.

I used Chi Chi’s Fajita Tortillas
Monterey Jack Cheese
Sliced Cooked chicken

I made just cheese and some with chicken.

The recipe is very simple just put a tortilla on skillet on medium heat
add toppings Cheese
wait for it to start to melt.
You can either fold it over or place another tortilla on top. I used another Tortilla.
Wait a few minutes and then flip over with a spatula.
Cook another few minutes when cheese is melted.
Cut and serve.

My daughter absolutely loved these and suggested I start making the meal more, as part of out taco night.

Have you ever made quesadilla’s at home?

Grilling With Hormel #HormelFamily

Fall is finally here, even though the warm weather is gone it’s still a good time to get outside and grill. Besides the beautiful weather I get to cook outside and lessen dishes in the sink. I love grilling different foods, It makes the meat so much more tender and juicy.

One of my favorite meals to grill any season is pork tenderloin. Hormel has their Always Tender Pork Tenderloin meat available in different varieties. I have tried them all and they are so good. My favorites are apple bourbon and teriyaki.

Everything is ready to go for you, just pull out of the package and fire up the grill. It’s that simple, you have a warm juicy meal to enjoy with your family.

What Flavor of Hormel Always Tender Pork Tenderloin are you excited to try?

Johnny Rockets Gives That Old School Feeling

When I attended Blogger Bash in NYC a few months ago, I was honored with getting to meet with one of the sponsors Johnny Rockets. They even provided us with Milk Shakes to make our own at the conference.
It was a great experience and we love Johnny Rockets, so my kids were super excited to hear that we would be eating their soon. They love their food and atmosphere.
We have two local Johnny Rockets here in Long Island. One is in a shopping mall and a bit informal, the other is in a outlet center and is a actual sit down restaurant.

The restaurant is very small, but the setting makes you feel at home.
When we visited we were welcomed right away and seated immediately.
The food is a basic american restaurant, they have hamburgers, sandwiches, salads etc. They are world famous for their milk shakes though, they are the best.

We just ordered hamburgers Fries and a drink. It was so delicious, It’s one of the few fast food restaurants that actually puts mayo on a burger instead of ketchup. While we were eating the jukebox was blasting and a old song came on “Just A Little Bit” and we were Delighted with the waitresses dancing and singing along. My kids just thought it was the funniest thing.

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day #VeryBadDay

I was invited to see Disney’s new movie Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day in a screening preview before the movie opened. I was a bit unsure about this movie as it wasn’t animated and I wasn’t sure how my kids would like it.

image001-5

Disney’s “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” follows the exploits of 11-year-old Alexander as he experiences the most terrible and horrible day of his young life—a day that begins with gum stuck in his hair, followed by one calamity after another. But when Alexander tells his upbeat family about the misadventures of his disastrous day, he finds little sympathy and begins to wonder if bad things only happen to him. He soon learns that he’s not alone when his mom, dad, brother and sister all find themselves living through their own terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. Anyone who says there is no such thing as a bad day just hasn’t had one.

For anyone who has multiple kids, you can relate to this movie. Just certain things going wrong with all your kids at one time. Alexander has always had bad luck and on his birthday wishes for his family to just understand what he is going through. His wish comes true and the whole family just experiences a bad day. The movie also has a great meaning behind it. You have to get through the bad days to experience the good ones, and to never give up.

When the movie was over my husband and I were laughing and talking about how much we can relate to the parents in the movie.Things not going your way, running out of diapers, kids getting into everything etc.
The movie has some humorous parts to it and also references a good Disney movie, which has become my kids favorite part.

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day opens in theaters October 10, 2014.

Get In The Habit With LISTERINE #Sponsored #MC

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for LISTERINE. I received samples for this review and a promotional item to thank me for participating.

Growing Up I had horrible hygiene. I rarely brushed my teeth and never used floss, I hated it. I come from a family with so many oral problems, and gum disease, I just figured I was bound for the same.
Now that I am a Adult, I realize how wrong I was for not caring and am paying the price of never using floss. I need a lot of work but have stepped up my game to prevent any more problems. I brush and rinse twice a day. I have a water pick flosser and use a dental flosser as well.
Now that I have kids of my own, I am making sure they take good care of their teeth. Making Sure that make a habit out it.

PICT0027

I am using LISTERINE products with my kids and showing them the proper way to care for their teeth. LISTERINE offers dental floss, as well as a picker, mouthwash for kids and adults. They also offer POCKETPAKS, which are my favorite. If I am out and can’t get home to freshen my breath, I just pop one in and don’t have to worry. Get in the habit with LISTERINE.

I love the floss when you go to floss you can just feel the minty freshness between your teeth that LISTERINE floss gives. I have had a ULTRACLEAN flosser for years, and love it. It makes flossing so much easier that having to reach way in the back of your mouth. I am now upgrading to the new LISTERINE ULTRACLEAN flosser.
My kids have tried the LISTERINE Barbie mouthwash and are loving it. They always want to use my mouthwash but it’s a bit to harsh for them and always complain about the burning sensation.

Have you tried LISTERINE products before? If not, you can find them at these local retailers.

LISTERINE wants you to get into the Heroic Habit and squash the plaque. To learn more about it visit their Youtube page.
