Kraft’s new foods: Applewood smoked bacon(giveaway)

The new Oscar Mayer super thick cut applewood smoked bacon is sliced twice as thick for more bacon per bite. The bacon is smoked for hours with applewood chips for a restaurant inspired bacon experience.

Some facts about this new bacon:

  • is the first super thick bacon available nationally that offers restaurant inspired taste.
  • twice as thick as regular Oscar Mayer Bacon with nine slices per package.
  •  made from a more premium cut that’s specially selected and hand trimmed to meet standards of restaurant chefs.

****These are big slices of bacon, but are very delicious.they take about 10-12 minutes to cook, but it is very well worth it. The downside to the bacon is there a 7g of fat per slice. This is the bacon you would want to use on a bacon cheeseburger.

availability: in stores nationwide December 2009

Retail price: $4.50 per package

size:16 oz 9 slices

Store Brand formula Vs. Name Brand

When I had my first child, I was so upset that I could not breastfeed. In fact my daughter barely ate the first three days of life, because I was having trouble. The thought of buying 10 cans of formula a month was overbearing. I wanted name brand formula as i thought it was better for baby, but at 15 dollars a can, i couldn’t afford it. Luckily WIC stepped in and helped me.

LIPIL with Iron Powder 12.9 oz - Case of 6

For those of you who don’t get WIC, i have good news. The store-bought brand is just as healthy as the name brand.  In a lawsuit against Mead Johnson the maker of Enfamil. Found to have falsely claimed that store brand products such as Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club Target, Kroger and Walgreens-were not as good as Enfamil.

All infant formula sold in the U.S must meet the same nutrient requirements. Which means saving money for you. . So you can buy store brand formula and get all the benefits of name brand formula for less of the price. Plus store brand formula usually comes in a bigger can!

Are you kidding

So all I’ve ever wished for is a trip to Disney world. My family and I have never been.  We don’t want a free trip, but If I am invited alone for free I would go.

I received an invitation to go to the Social Media Moms Disney event. Meet mom bloggers and have fun at Disney, sounds like a dream right. NO, actually it’s not! All these bloggers rant and rave about going to Disney free all the time. Disney mom blogger events etc. We’ll if I want to go to a blogger Disney event I have to pay $350 dollars, plus if I want family to attend $150 extra per person. That is F****in rediculous. I’m poor, I could take my family of 5 on a vacation for $350.

If your going to send me on a blogging trip, it has to be for free. Also we are parents, why have blogging trips on weekdays when we have duties to our children.

This was drawn by my 4 year old daughter McKenzie. What makes her happy is sunny days, rainbows and of course love.

I hope to make the finalist where your vote could help my child win $1000.00 towards educational classes.

**** We thought this was very fun DVD. My children do not watch Winnie the Pooh often, and have never seen an episode with Christopher Robin. It was great getting to show them the Pooh I grew up with. I’m actually not a fan of the new Tigger and Pooh show. This DVD is very educational for teaching preschoolers about Valentines day. My kids favorite part was when Pooh dressed up as a mailbox. This is a great Valentine gift for kids!
