My Back To School Tips

Top Ten:

1.Look around your house-I’ve found crayons, pens unopened in boxes that i put away. so always look around te house for useful BTS items

2 Use your gift cards up-I have ton of gift cards that i have not used yet, so need BTS items use up those gift cards that laying around.

3. Shop discount and thrift stores- I know a lot of people would disagree or be disgusted, but Thrift stores have a lot of great clothes and our very cheap, I always look their before hitting department stores. (Found Tommy Hilfiger Jeans with tags on $5.99)

4.Stock up-If you see a really good sale like 25 cent crayons, buy a lot you will be needing them in the future and their will always be a kid in need.

5.Take your child to school beforehand-take your child to school and show them around where there class is and a spot where you will be picking them up everyday. (specially kindergarten)

6. don’t brown bag it- buy a reuseable bag and sandwich container for lunches it will save money on bags and foil.

7.prepare your child-have them do some work before school starts look over old notes, that way they will remember what was taught last year.

8.Deals and coupons- always look around for the best deals, Staples usually has great deals. Cut coupons out too it’ll save tons of money.

9.clean out your childs backpack. before school starts, make sure there are only neccessary items in childs backpack. This probably should be done regularly to help maintain organization.

10.designate a quite time area- Noises, tv and toys are all very distracting to children when homework needs to get done. make a area just for your child to have a small work space of their own distraction free.

Wubbzy Goes To School DVD Review

Product Description:

puts the “cool” in “school” with six charming episodes that will have everyone ready to hit the books.  In “Who Needs School?,” Wubbzy is nervous about going off to school for the very first time and decides he can learn all he needs to know on his own.  When things don’t work out as expected and Wubbzy has no one to play with, he realizes that maybe school isn’t so bad after all.  In another episode, “New Kid On The Block,” Wubbzy learns that meeting and accepting new friends can be a big! big! big! job. When Murphy, a larger-than-life new student, joins the class, Wubbzy finds that good friends can come in all shapes and sizes.

 Episodes:

  • Wubbzy Goes To School
  • New Kids On The Block
  • Gotta Dance
  • Wubbzy The Star
  • You Gotta have Art
  • Magic Tricks

**** I was a little disappointed that the Wubbzy goes to school episode is kind of old. It’s one we have seen a lot actually. Wubbzy is all excited to start school, but when his friends tell him how unfun it is, Wubbzy is nervous about going. In the long run everything works out.  I have been trying to find ways to ease my daughters mind for Kindergarten, shes a little nervous and watching her fav characters, on their first day of day of school was helpful.

D Signed Clothing Line Review

Parents of tweens and young  fashionistas on the hunt for the latest back-to-school fashions can now enjoy designs inspired by the style of their favorite Disney Channel characters such as Sonny Munroe played by Demi Lovato from Sonny With a Chance.  Disney and Target announced today a new line of clothing and accessories Called D-Signed for Tween girls sizes 4-16.

Read all about it and see Demi Lavatos music video she made just for the line

****This line is so cute, its based on Demi’s Sonny with a chance Character. My daughter was thrilled to put these clothes on, and even said “Do I look like a superstar!”  The shirt is loose fitting which is great for those hot days.  The pants were a little long, but they are cute.  The military style jacket is so great for those special occasions, and perfect fit.

****My daughter loves video games, but having a older system I can never really find educational games.  Now with my daughter starting kindergarten, I want to prepare her as much as I can. The Leapster Explorer is a great educational tool/game system. My daughter just loves it. She is getting better with her ABC’s, her shapes and more. Now the only problem I have is trying to get her off of it.  She is all set and ready for school! This is a great learning system for young children.

Amusement Fun with Pop On Pals

Pop On Pals is a whole new world of popabilities from Spin Master. With endless mix and match fun, your little ones can be anything they want to be. Pop On Pals encourage imaginative play and help develop fine motor skills.

features:

  • ages 2-4
  • playsets include vehicles, pets,  and more.
  • available at Toys R Us, Target, Kmart, Sears and more

****The minute I received this all 3 of my children fought over this. Finally they agreed to place nicely together, but they had a lot of fun playing with this. My only complaint is that the playset only comes with one pal, which isn’t enough for three kids.   My kids are really excited about roller coasters now though and can’t wait until they are old enough to go to the Amusement park.   This is a great toy for little ones.
