Chex Party Mix and Sam’s Club Gift Card GiveawayCLOSED

One thing I always love making during the holidays Chex Party Mix. It’s so easy to make and oh so good!

Sam’s Club wants to change it up a bit, make your Chex part mix a bit more favorable.

My favorite would have to be Chex Carmel Chocolate Drizzles

  • 3 cups Corn Chex
  • 3 cups Rice Chex
  • 1/2 bag 14 oz Carmels (about 25)
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips

In large microwaveable bowl, mix cereals

In medium microwavable bowl, microwave caramels, butter and milk uncovered on High 2 to 3 minutes, stirring after each minute, until caramels are melted and mixture is smooth. Pour over cereals; gently stir until evenly coated.

Microwave on High 3 to 4 minutes, stirring after each minute, until just beginning to brown. Spread on waxed paper to cool.

In small microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips uncovered
on High about 1 minute or until chocolate can be stirred smooth. Drizzle over snack. Refrigerate until set. Store in airtight container.

You can find this recipe and other Chex recipes here.

I have a Chex mix prize pack to giveaway

Make A New Friend For The Holidays Review and GiveawayClosed

We were only introduced to Build A Bear Workshop a few years ago and already my kids can’t get enough of it. Everytime they see a new character bear they have to have it. The most fun part for them though is actually getting to make and dress the animal themselves.

Build A Bear Workshop has so many fun and exciting opportunities going on around the Holiday Season.

  • Now through December 31, you can visit www.Bearville.com to check out the North Pole! Play new games, get virtual gifts and more.
  • All through December you can make a $1 donation to support Toys for Tots at checkout, in store or online.
We were able to check out the new Erik from Happy Feet 2, my kids have been talking about him for a while. When we received him, my kids were just so thrilled. I decided to add a Santa suit to him just for the holidays.  The first thing my kids found out was his bow-tie lights up.  They just can’t get enough of this little guy.
Another great opportunity I had was at checkout I was asked if I wanted at add a Make a wish Teddy for $5 more and a $10 Build A Bear Workshop Gift Card for $5. I had to say yes to both.
The gift card will have to wait until Victoria Justice bear comes out.
The Make A Wish Teddy deal is over but you can still get a $10 gift card for $5.

Erik retails for $23
I have a $10 Build A Bear Workshop gift card to giveaway to one lucky US reader.

The End Of Smallville Was Exciting

Smallville is over, I can’t believe it. After 10 exciting action packed seasons, they included a 2 hour series finale.

I was really excited that the series ended the way it did, instead of leaving us wondering with questions with a one hour finale. They made it a 2 hour finale with all the answers.
I was not disappointed with anything at all. I can’t just choose one favorite part of the finale, there were just so many breath taking parts. I loved Chloe reading a superman comic to her son, and Clark and Lois finally getting married. Plus the Luthor family is back!

It felt like the finale was actually a movie, an action packed movie. One thing I wish I would have liked to see in the episode was Clark and Lois actually saying I do. They walked down the aisle, but there was never an I do.

If you haven’t seen any of season 10, i suggest you do. You will not be disappointed. You can but the complete 10th season here, or the complete series here.

“I have been hired by Warner Bros WBWord division to raise awareness for ‘Smallville.

Happy Birthday William

4 years ago today, I was in the hospital ready to be induced and finally hold my baby boy. It was a very rough time as my husband had finals in two days and was worried bout my 2 daughters at home. Baby finally decided to come out in the afternoon!

I was more worried about him after he was born, because he didn’t cry and I heard a snap as his shoulders past. Luckily he was perfectly fine and it was me that snaped, my body couldn’t handle a 10lb baby.

Yes I said 10 lbs.

William at 3 months

He has grown up so fast, I can’t believe it. My baby is 4!

Happy Birthday William, I love you!

It was a Fancy Nancy dream

Yesterday we all bundled up and headed into New York City for a special event, a book reading and signing from Jane O’Conner. Jane is the author of the Fancy Nancy series, which my daughter absolutely loves.

Instantly my daughters started chatting away with Jane O’Conner.

I told her that McKenzie’s reading really took off when she found the Fancy Nancy series, which is the truth. she said you don’t know how much that means to me.

I even caught my daughter reading one of her Fancy Nancy books to Jane, it was so cute.

Jane O’Conner started reading her popular Christmas book, Fancy Nancy Splendiferous Christmas.  My kids loved every minute of the reading. She wasn’t just reading, she was explaining everything and acting it out.

Afterward they had books for sale and she she signed them.
Disclosure: No compensation was received at all for this post. I was invited to the event,
but paid all costs myself.

Holiday Gift Guide: Scholastic Books

If there is one gift I love buying, it is books. They are educational and not sprawled all over my floor. My daughter brings home a Scholastic Book Club order every month and we choose books to order every month.

This month for our Christmas gifts we have ordered

My kids love character books mainly, and La La Loopsy is the newest character book added to our collection.  Most of the books I get from Scholastic are free, and it’s not from product reviews. Selected boxes of Kelloggs cereal have codes on them for Free Scholastic books.

** These books are so great, My kids get just as much enjoyment out of reading these books as they do watching the shows.  most book are 32 pages or less, so they are easy readers.   These make great stocking stuffers or gifts and are all under $10.   The greatest thing about ordering books from Scholastic is when you order online, your child’s class gets a free book.

Books retail for $1.00 or higher

Rating:10
