What are the Microsoft Certifications Offered?

Microsoft currently offers a broad range of certifications. There are tiered certifications available which include the associate, specialist and master levels. There are also multiple categories of certifications available in the areas of technology, solutions, development and overall mastery of Microsoft products, which certifies expertise in all of the other areas of certification.

In addition to the tiered certifications offered by Microsoft and the area of technical expertise distinctions available, there are also two main categories of certifications that can be achieved. Any MS Certification will fall under one of these two certification paths. The various levels of distinction offered in each certification path are also detailed below.

Microsoft Certifications

  • MCTS – Technology Specialist
  • MCPD – Professional Developer
  • MCITP – IT Professional
  • MCM – Master

Microsoft Cloud-Built Certifications

  • MCSA – Solutions Associate
  • MCSD – Solutions Developer
  • MCSE – Solutions Expert
  • MCSM – Solutions Master

The specialist and associate levels of certification available through Microsoft are the place to begin even if you have some experience in working with the various products and technologies. These entry level certifications allow you to build your credentials, working your way up through the Microsoft certification paths, and also let you become familiar with the certification process and the exam formats, etc.

Using an exam prep service can be an excellent method for preparing for your certification exams. A dynamic testing prep service will give you access to materials covered on exams as well as practice tests for honing your skills prior to registering for your formal examination.

How to Install Multiple Child Safety Seats in a Car

Car seats play an important safety role in modern vehicles. Since a vehicle’s seats are usually designed for adults, safety belts and airbags can be a hazard for children under the age of 12. While car seats can be a great tool for proper vehicle safety, it can be difficult to install them correctly. The following guide provides simple tips and tricks on how to safely install multiple car seats in a vehicle.
It’s important to understand how car seats work. Since a child is significantly smaller than an adult, many children will not be properly restrained in a traditional seat belt. In the event of an accident, a child can be severely injured or killed by a traditional safety belt. Several National Transportation and Safety Board (NTSB) accident review studies have shown that children will often slip out of a regular seat belt during an accident.

Child car seats are designed to secure a child in the event of an accident. Since child safety seats are designed to fit around a child, a child in a proper safety seat will be at a reduced risk of an accident.

However, it’s essential to make sure that car seats are installed in the proper ways. If a child isn’t buckled into a properly-placed car seat, he or she can be at an increased risk of injury in an accident.

It’s essential to make sure that one follows all instructions when placing a child in a car seat. In most cases, child seats are designed to face the rear of a vehicle. In the event of a front-end collision, children will be propelled into the back of their seat. This reduces the risk of injuries from seat belt attachments and straps. However, it can increase the risk of injury in a rear-end collision.

One should never place a car seat in the front of a vehicle. In many cases, an air bag can cause significant damage to a child in a car seat. Since air bags are designed to cushion a crash for an adult, they can’t provide good protection for a child in a specialized seat. Several accident reports have shown that air bags can actually kill a child if he or she is in a car seat. To avoid these types of problems, it’s a good idea to make sure that a child set is set up in the rear of a vehicle.

If a vehicle doesn’t have rear seats, it may be possible to set up a child seat in the front of the vehicle by following certain precautions. Some modern vehicles allow an individual to turn off the passenger air bag. However, it’s essential to make sure that one remembers to turn it back on when the seat is occupied by an adult.

Child safety seats play a critical role in preventing injuries during a vehicle accident. While child safety seats can be a valuable tool for many parents, it’s essential to make sure that seats are adjusted in the proper way.

Little Girls and Music Boxes

I can remember having this beautiful glass music box when I was a little girl, it had birds on it and played music every time I opened it. I loved it, and would always hide my treasures in it.

Now that I am a mother, I want my daughters to have the same memories I did. So I have been on the lookout for a glass Music box, like I had. While looking around they have so many varieties available, Music boxes shaped like animals, and candy.
One of my favorites is a personalized Daughter I Love You Music box. It is so gorgeous and the perfect gift that will last a lifetime.

I think I will be moving Music Boxes for Christmas to #1 on my list this year.  I can’t wait for Christmas now, just looking at these music boxes.

Not Having Someone Who Supports what you do.

I love blogging, It is a way for me to express myself, and share things with family and friends. I’ll be the first to admit, I don’t have a lot of friends outside of the internet.
I tend to stay inside a lot and be with my kids. I don’t have money for a nanny, or babysitter. So I just do with what I have.
I started blogging about 3 1/2 years ago, and it started as just a blog about life with 3 small kids and a husband over seas. Then it turned into a business as companies were pitching me for advertising, products etc. I accepted, and it took up a lot of my time.

While I do not make even close to what other bloggers make a month, I still enjoy what I do. I do not have the support of my husband though. He thinks I spend way to much time on the computer and make close to $1 a hour.

I would love to prove him wrong, the problem being he is in school so the more money I make the less he makes. To be honest we don’t make much, enough to live.

I would love to be able to redesign my blog, learn how to do more monetizing and get more stats. That is on my to do list for the next year.
Hopefully then I will get support from others.

How Much Is This Mom

Now that my daughter is in second grad, she has taken an interest in saving money. Right now she is saving up for a Game system or American Girl Doll.  She is learning the value of money in school, but will always come up and ask ” how much do I have now?”

We always put the change in separate piles, like pennies in one, nickels in another etc. It seems easier for her to count them that way. We tell her everything in this pile is 1 cent, so count by ones, 5 cents 10 cents and so on.

Even though I am teaching her the value of money, she still asks for crazy things or an allowance. So here are my tips for teaching kids about money.

Nothing is Free- At times I feel like my kids just expect everything to be handed to them, but the way my husband and I were raised was nothing is free. If you want money you have to earn it. We don’t do chore charts or demand anything be done. We expect them to do it on their own. If they clean up their toys, make their beds, etc. without being told to do so then they will be rewarded.

Plan ahead of time:  I use to be the shopper that would buy on impulse or go to the store hungry, and it always got me in trouble with my budget. So now when I get ready to shop, whether it is for school supplies or groceries I plan ahead. Always make a list of what you need and stick to it. Have all your coupons together and in order, and check circulars  for the best deals.

invest: I am always surprised at how smart my kids are at this age. They are so young, but have already started talking about what they want to be and going to college. We have brought up wanting to invest and save for their college funds. I don’t have a ton of money to put away for them, but we have interested them in a new way to spend their holiday money. We tell them instead of buying the new popular toy (which trust me we don’t need anymore of.) why not put in your piggy bank and save it.

They have actually gone along with this and am so proud of how well they are saving and earning.

Gevalia Coffee Is Smooth with No Bitter After taste

Gevalia Traditional Roast provides a perfectly balanced taste every time. Our most beloved blend-made of choice, mountain grown Arabica beans. This coffee has a distinctive body and flavor with a lighter intensity.

****I am not a coffee drinker, I hate the bitter taste. Gevalia coffee was actually very smooth and not much a after taste. I can actually drink it without having to dose it with milk and sugar.  You can even make ice coffee with it. Just brew the coffee, the put in the frisge to cool down and then put over ice.

Gevalia coffee is now available in 12 oz packages for $6.99

Thinking About Adding A Bike In Our Life

This year my schedule has been crazy. My son started preschool and they don’t offer a bus, so I have to take him everyday.   We only have one car, so now I am a chauffeur for everyone.  My schedule day to day:

  • Get daughters on the bus
  • take hubby to work
  • take son to preschool
  • Pick daughters up from school
  • PIck son up
  • pick hubby up

Everyday and nothing is close, I am driving 30+ miles a day. It is exhausting, but I do have a few hours to myself in between dropping off and picking up.

So I am thinking about getting a bike for hubby. Like a mountain bike or something. His work is only 3 1/2 miles away. Thats doable on a bike right?

There is the option of getting another car, but we could never afford it, not until my hubby graduates. Unless my blog takes off. LOL

So now my time off is spent trying to find the perfect bicycle. One that is sturdy and will last but not to expensive.

Am I crazy for making my hubby take a bike?
