V Tech’s InnoTab Upcoming Release with Giveaway Closed

V Tech is coming out with their own tablet for children.

InnoTab comes with a full suite of pre-loaded applications including an interactive, animated e-book, motion games, creative activities, MP3 music player, photo viewer, video player, alarm clock, calculator, calendar and an address book.

InnoTab has a 5″ screen and is supported by cartridges featuring your favorite characters, like Cars, Dora, Toy Story and Disney Princess. The Innotab also features acolor touch screen LCD, a tilt-sensor for motion game control, USB interface, SD card slot for memory expansion, along with a stylus and a headphone jack. All of these are housed in a sleek, durable and compact design for easy portability.

Long Island Festival

So the Long Island festival is happening now, tomorrow is the last day. Yesterday around 6:00, we head out to go an it is only a 15-20 minute walk. So we decided to walk since their is absolutely no parking anywhere. We get there and the kids are all excited about the rides etc.

5 minutes after we get there we feel sprinkles, and start thinking about going home.  Then I see the prices for rides and I jet away.

Prices are $1.25 per ticket and each ride takes 3-5 tickets. So for my 3 kids and adult (required) to ride the ferris wheel one time would be $25. You could also buy a pop ticket for $23, but their is not very many rides so it’s not worth it. Each game is $5. So yes it cost a lot of money.

We start the journey home and half way home it starts pouring rain. Imagine walking on a busy street with 3 kids under age 7, while it is pouring rain.

we get home and we are all soaked to the bone.

 

So Long Island Festival is not worth the time (at least to me).

Go Pink With Sam’s Club Giveaway Closed

For 5 years, General Mills has partnered with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure® Foundation to bring breast cancer support to local communities, and this year they are making their annual donation of $2 million to the foundation to advance breast cancer research and support education and community outreach projects.

Purchase specially marked General Mills products like Cheerios and Fiber One 90 Calorie Brownies at your local Sam’s Club and help decide how half of that contribution will be donated by voting at PinkTogether.com from now until April 14, 2012.

General Mills products are so delicious, why not have a great snack while helping a great cause. You get to decide how the money gets donated, to the assistance program or to the treatment program. I would choose the treatment program, just because it is so important that we find cure for cancer. Voting results will be announced on Mothers Day 2012.

We went last year and was so much fun, although it was a bit disorganized.
