Celebrate Mothers Day With Snapfish

I am not one for fancy or expensive gifts. I love homemade gift s and I really love photo gifts, they are simple and help memories live on. For mothers day this year I am simply getting my mom photos, and I know she will love them. My mother and I live 3000 miles away from each other and she doesn’t have a computer. Pictures are the only way she gets to see her grandchildren.

I received a gift code and am just printing out pictures instead of getting a gift. I will be receiving 109 prints from Snapfish, a lot of them are copies but I figured I could split them up and send them to all moms in my life. My mother, mother in law, grandmothers etc.  The photos always look high quality and come packaged safely.

Dangers Of Indoor Tanning

May is Melanoma/Skin Cancer detection and prevention month.

This has become very important in my life lately, and I want to make sure that everyone gets bumps or sores on their body checked out. Recently my mom was diagnosed with skin cancer, they said it was not Melanoma but basil cell carcinoma. Basil cell carcinoma is not as bad as Melanoma but still very serious if not treated.

My mother has never tanned but just being out in the AZ sun for 18 years takes a toll on your skin.  Luckily they were able to remove it early before the chance of spreading.

The American Academy of Dermatology conducted a survey of caucasian teens and young women. 30% of caucasian girls between the ages of 14-22 have used a tanning bed in the last year. Respondents who used a tanning bed are 42% more likely to have a mom who uses a tanning bed compared to non-indoor tanners.indoor tanning has been shown to increase the risk of developing melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer, by 75%, vast majorities (95%) of indoor tanners say their parents are aware that they use a tanning bed.

Pay It Forward With Pampers GiveawayClosed

You can help by visiting Pampers Facebook page and pledge to pay it forward by helping an expectant mother in need. Once 2500 people pledge and complete te mission, Pampers will throw  baby showers for expectant mothers nationwide. Plus just by joining the mission you will be entered to win a year supply of diapers and wipes.

I was recently sent a gift card to help pay it forward, and at first I passed because I really don’t know anyone in my neighborhood. I was talking with my neighbor who is a school teacher and she said she was attending a baby shower for another teacher who didn’t have very much for er upcoming bundle. So first I decided to donate some unused items I had lying around from my kids including bottles, toys and more. I wanted to do more to help, so I decided to take the Little Miracle Mission and use the money to help her with Diapers. As a mother of three, diapers was the thing I need the most. So I bought some Pampers diapers and wipes to give her. Although I have never met the woman I donated everything to, It’s the goodness of helping someone in need.

Smallville Rivalries Come Together In Collection

Smallville the story of Superman has had tons of rivalries over the years, one of my favorites is Lex Luther, He is an original character and was also a friend at one point.

My favorite episode is Season 6 episode 1 where Lex is taken over by General Zod, and kidnaps Lana. It proves Clarks undying love for Lana that he is willing to risk it all for her and everyone else. Lex gets the upper hand, but Clark always prevails.  Even though it wasn’t really Lex, they have fought through so many seasons over women, business and power.
