Spice Up For National Grilled Cheese Day

Today is National Grilled Cheese day, perfect day to make your favorite grilled cheese sandwich. Instead of making a regular grilled cheese sandwich plain spice it up with Hormel Pepperoni or bacon. Another option is add guacamole or salsa. There are so many possibilities.

My kids were really pleased with the grilled cheese and pepperoni sandwiches. They were asking for more, and loved it.

We even did Ham and grilled cheese, with the leftover Hormel Cure81 Ham we have from Easter. My son just loved that. He said it gives it extra flavor.

Fireman Playtime From Wholesale Halloween Costumes

I have 2 daughters and a son, my daughters love to play dress up and my son is kind of left out. He is more about playing the cop or Fireman hero type. So I finally got him a Fireman Costume to play in and he loves it.

This inspirational Firefighters Child Ensemble consists of the following pieces: fireman’s jacket with reflective striping and metal clasps, cargo styled pants, chief’s badge and a fireman’s helmet.

The outfit was so cute on him and he didn’t want to take it off at all.

The complete outfit just comes so well together. The pants are actually overalls or suspenders like a real firefighter, so you don’t have to worry about him pulling up his pants often or being to big. The jacket can open and can velcro with latches. To complete the look their is a fireman’s helmet with badge in the front.

The jacket has thumb holes to keep the sleeves snug. I love the reflectors on the pants and jacket, it’s great for play or trick or treating at night.

Science Fair Fun

For the past two years my daughters have taken part in the school science fair. The love it and get to experiment like their dad does everyday.

All their friends say that their science projects are good because their dad is a scientist. Thats not true at all, we strongly believe that they need to do the work on their own to achieve and learn. So the only thing I ever help with are ideas and pictures, The rest is all them.

Celebrate Easter With Hormel Ham #HormelFamily

Every Easter We celebrate with a nice dinner and eat together as a family. It’s hard during school and work to actually be able to eat at the same time, so we make it a point to on Holidays. This year my kids decided to go with a ham for dinner, but knowing them they won’t eat very much. We ended up with a really big Hormel Cure 81 ham, that was on sale for a good price.

Cooking it was a cinch and everyone loved it for dinner, pairing it with pineapple, mashed potatoes and veggies and salad.

We were left with tons of leftovers, and my kids complained that we were eating ham for days. There are so many things you can have ham with so we made the best of it.

Shopkins Slap Bands Are So Much Fun

Shopkins have only been on the market for about a year, but they are already my children’s favorite toy. They play with them day and night. If your kids do love them, well then of course you know how hard they are to find. It gets pretty crazy!

Now, there is a new Shopkins item on the market just in time for Easter. Shopkins Slap Bands are the new it item. Once I see them in store they are gone within 10 minutes.

The Shopkins Slap Bands are very sturdy and don’t break, unless of course you bend them and roll them the wrong way. I was telling my kids about loving slap bands when I was younger but they were flimsy and made of really cheap material. The Shopkins Slap Bands are very sturdy and you can even throw them from a short distance and they attach to the arm.

My kids just love showing them off and everyone asks where they can get them.

I have been reading the book The DoveKeepers and it’s really really good. I have been so into it I can hardly put the book down. Their is so much excitement and adventure, it leaves you on the edge of your seat. Although it’s based on a story from 2,000 years ago, the story some how feels as it is modern.
