Happy Spring With Snow of Course
So The past week has been perfect with weather in the 50’s and the snow melting. I can finally see my grass, and I put all the winter clothes away with Spring in reach.
Then what happens.
The cold hits again and this was our first day of Spring.
First day of Spring and we get snow. What the heck is this winter ever going to end?

Happy St. Patricks Day! A day where you can wear green and eat all the corn beef and cabbage you want. Actually thats more of a American tradition, but still fun to participate in.
This year we went all out and actually made Corn Beef and Cabbage with Hash.
I made the Corn Beef in the slow cooker and it came out very tender and juicy. Just season and put in slow cooker for 5-6 hours on high. Add in cabbage at the end, and it’s delicious.
We paired it with Hash of course and mash potatoes with skin.
The hash we made on the stove and added in with our meal, it was the perfect touch. We used Can Hormel Mary Kitchen Hash, and have plenty left over for breakfast dishes.

Celebrate St. Patricks Day with The Childrens Place
One of my favorite holidays is St. Patricks Day, just because I have some Irish in my family. Although I was always brought up to wear orange on St. Patricks Day, we have come accustomed to wearing Green so you don’t get pinched.
My kids had nothing Green that fit them this year, and one of their favorite stores The Childrens Place was kind enough to send us a few items to review.
The Childrens Place is the largest pure-play children’s specialty apparel shop. It’s one of few places my kids love to shop for clothes. They love the way the clothes fit and their cute designs.

My kids loved the outfits. the shirts are very soft and comfortable. The jeans fit perfect and complimented the look great. Even though it’s a silly tradition they were so Excited about not having to get pinched when they go to school.

Happy National Pi Day

Today is National Pi Day, a day that only happens once in a century. Today is a day to celebrate math and of course your favorite Pie. Pie consists of 3.141592653
Pi Day started 27 years ago at San Francisco’s Exploratorium. Physicist Larry Shaw, who worked in the electronics group at the museum, started celebrating pi on March 14, 1988, primarily with museum staffers. The tradition has grown to embrace math enthusiasts from all walks of life.
We had fun playing math games during the afternoon, but got to baking this evening.
I am not a big baker, so I took the easy route. I used Wholly Wholesome Pie Crust and a Cherry Pie Filling.
Wholly Wholesome products are truly Natural and gluten free. You can get Pie Crusts or a different pie varieties. I favor them because they are dairy free and everyone in my family can eat them.
The pie was really good, and the crust very crispy. I think my favorite part is always the crust, very crispy and tasty.

Finding The Right Lawnmower For Your Family
My husband and I have been renting instead of buying a place to live because it fits our lifestyle right now. We move every couple years, so we don’t want to buy a house just yet. My husband was n the army and now in grad school, so it’s been constantly on the go.
This year though we are finally starting a new chapter, my husband will be graduating with his PHD. We will be contemplating a big step for our family, our first house. We have 3 kids and want them to be able to decorate their own rooms and finally feel at home.
Buying a house is a big step though and you need to think about everything that goes along with it. Insurance, furnishings, appliances, and the #1 thing my kids are looking forward to having a lawn mower. They always loved watching the great grandfather ride around on his, and wanted one just like it.
Even though the house hunting is still a ways away I have been looking into everything including the Lawnmowers Guide, It has all the information you need and is so easy to use.
Growing up n AZ we never had a lawnmower, because our yard was all dirt. I am amazed by how many different brands and styles there are. I want a ride on, because it would be more fun if we have a big yard. Either way though the Lawnmowers guide is definitly helping me in finding The Right Lawnmower for my family.

Shopkins So Cool Fridge and Shopkins Easter Basket

My kids have fallen for the Shopkins craze, and when a new product comes out they just want it.
One of the latest products is the Shopkins So Cool Fridge Playset.
The fridge comes with two special characters and tiny eggs. You can open the fridge and all it’s compartments. The ice maker even works, just stick a Shopkin on it and push for ice and it falls in the cup. The fridge can hold plenty of Shopkins and has been non stop fun for my kids.
They have been sticking the shoes and appliances in the fridge,and then complaining it doesn’t go there. We don’t have very many season 1 which have the Dairy.
My kids love Shopkins but as a mom they can be so hard to find, and there have been a few times where I will find them but then someone scoops everything up before I can get one. It has taken months just to get the few we have, because I tell my kids they can have 1 pack each when we find them. It’s only fair to leave them for other kids who love them.
Shopkins Easter Basket Fun:
We have been putting together some fun ideas for a Shopkins Easter Basket including the fridge. Shopkins are so small they can fit in the Easter eggs and it’s perfect for a egg hunt.
Depending on the size eggs you buy you can fit a Shopkin in a small egg or a Shopkin with a shopping bag in a big egg.
