Blogger Bash Coffee Talk #BBNYC

Blogger

I will be attending Blogger Bash next week, and I am so excited. So to get introduced to everyone we are having a coffee talk with a few questions.

1. Name? Brandy!!! B, Mom I answer to them all

2. Where are you from? Everywhere: Born Bay Area California, but grew up in Arizona, then jumped around from Colorado to North Carolina and now Long Island, New York.

3. How long have you been blogging? 6 years, started as just a way to keep my family in the loop with my kids as I am over 2000 miles from home. It ended up blossoming into the blog I have now and I love it.

4. What is the meaning behind your blog name? It is funny but true. I have 3 children very close in age. They were all born in less than 3 years (almost 7, 8 and 9 years old). My husband went from the military to college, and now a PHD. So the No Time Mommy name came from me literally having no time for anything but my kids.

5. What are you most looking forward to at Blogger Bash?
Connections, getting to meet brands and learn more.

6. What three words describe you the best?
Blunt
Honest
myself (weird)

7. Got kids? How many?
Yes I have 3
Kenzie is 9
Alex is 8
Will is 6 1/2

8. We all have a pet peeve. What is your #1?
Not getting to the point. Is that bad? LOL!

9. If you could have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?
Carl Sagan, I have always been fascinated with his work. He is a true genius and lover of all things science.

10. Show me your face!

Planes Fire And Rescue Movie Is Not Just For Kids #DisneyPlanes #FireandRescue

Disclosure: No formal compensation was received for this post. I was invited to a screening of the movie by Disney.

When the first Planes movie came out my son was all excited, he had to see it. He is a big Cars fan and knew this would be the next big thing. He loved the movie, but for me it seemed to much like cars for me. Was not what I was hoping.

Planes Fire and Rescue is a big upgrade from the first movie.

planesfireandrescue536147bd6ef8f

Disney’s Planes Fire and Rescue Planes is a new comedy-adventure about second chances, featuring a dynamic crew of elite firefighting aircraft devoted to protecting historic Piston Peak National Park from raging wildfire. When world famous air racer Dusty (voice of Dane Cook) learns that his engine is damaged and he may never race again, he must shift gears and is launched into the world of aerial firefighting. Dusty joins forces with veteran fire and rescue helicopter Blade Ranger and his courageous team, including spirited super scooper Dipper (voice of Julie Bowen), heavy-lift helicopter Windlifter, ex-military transport Cabbie and a lively bunch of brave all-terrain vehicles known as The Smokejumpers. Together, the fearless team battles a massive wildfire and Dusty learns what it takes to become a true hero.

This sequel will keep you in suspense a lot of the time. My kids had their eyes glued to the screen the whole time. I was jumping out of my seat waiting to see what was going to be happening next. There are so many moments that just leave you wondering. The movie also has some funny yet tasteful jokes that only adults and older kids will actually get. For example: There are 2 RV’s having their anniversary and want to go back to where they first kissed, and are reminiscing about it. ” We bought white wall tires and burned the rubber off of those fast, if you know what I mean! Driving around of course.” Could of turned out to be a dirty joke but it wasn’t.

planesfireandrescue5328bd3dc9a83

One of the things I loved the most is it has a great storyline and plot. First off at the beginning of the movie it says it’s dedicated to all the Firefighters who risk there lives everyday. In the movie Dusty learns that life is not all about being selfish and famous or popular, it’s about helping others even when it’s dangerous. He learns that after having his life saved!

I would definitely recommend taking the family out to see this movie, the whole family will enjoy it.

Keep Momming #MC #Sponsored

Disclosure: “I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Shire. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.”

Raising a child at any age is challenging, and when it comes to mothers and daughters, the dynamic can be even more complex. What some may dismiss as “typical tween girl behavior” can sometimes be symptoms of something more serious. Research suggests that girls are more likely than boys to report having mostly inattentive Attention- Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) symptoms. Since inattentive symptoms can be less noticeable than hyperactive and impulsive symptoms, it is important that moms know what to look for.

That’s why I’m pleased to be joining Shire, CHADD and Holly Robinson Peete to announce the launch of keep momming, a new public service initiative geared towards the moms of tween girls to raise awareness of ADHD.

The campaign is anchored within a new digital hub, KeepMomming.com, where you’ll find tips, tools and other go-to resources for moms, including a checklist to help recognize the symptoms of ADHD – inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity – and then encourages moms to talk to their daughter’s doctor. The keep momming initiative can help moms learn about ADHD and provide ideas on how to spark a conversation and stay connected with their tween.

Check out Holly’s message about how she keeps momming http://goo.gl/MR8HL2, and don’t forget to visit KeepMomming.com.
