Diary Of A Wimpy Kid Rodrick Rules GiveawayClosed

Justback from summer vacation, Greg Heffley and his friend Rowley enter the next grade as undersized weaklings in their school. A
bully favorite, Greg tries not to get noticed by anyone except the pretty newgirl, Holly Hills. And at home, Greg is still at war with his older brother, Rodrick, until their mom Susan instigates a ‘Mom Bucks’ program so Greg and Rodrick can earn play money by doing chores
and—gasp!—being nice to each other. Calamity ensues when their parents return from vacation and dad Frank finds evidence that Rodrick secretly threw a houseparty with his band, Löded Diper. As they struggle with school and compete for ‘Mom Bucks,’ the brothers discover
that avoiding trouble is easier if they unite—and their once-twisted partnership grows into a hilariously playful and sometimes mischievous
friendship.

I have one copy of Diary Of A Wimpy Kid, Rodrick Rules to giveaway.

Summer Reading list

When it’s to hot to go outside this summer and play, keep your mind busy with books. Here is a great list of must reads this summer.

Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Rodrick rules Just in time for the Blu-ray and dvd release on June 21, 2011

Harry Potter

To some kids, and adults, the Harry Potter books are an essential part of their life long reading experience. From Sorcerer’s Stone to The Deathly Hallows, the Harry Potter franchise is something of a legend. If you’re one of the few that hasn’t made these books part of your summer list, make this the summer that you do.

Ramona and Beezus

The Ramona and Beezus book series follows the lives of Ramona and her family in Portland, Oregon. The popular series began in the 1950’s while it’s last written book, “Ramona’s World” was in 1999. The series remains popular to this day.

R.L Stine’s Goosebumps

Want a way to get the chills during the heat this summer? Pick up R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps. The book series has been giving kids the heeby geebies for years and it’s sure to bring some dark adventures into the brightest summer day.

Nancy Drew

It’s no mystery that Nancy Drew’s series will really keep you on your toes. You’llhave lots of fun solving crimes and snooping around with this classic books series that has been around since the 1930’s.

The Clique

Strangely that you find yourself missing the caddy kids in school? Try reading The Clique by Lisi Harrison this summer and you’ll find yourself loving to hate the characters. All the drama will keep you flipping the pages, and possibly never leaving your house!

James and the Giant Peach

The beloved classic James and the Giant Peach has been a joy for many growing up. Author Roald Dahl will take you on a journey of adventure and friendship which actually might have you wishing you were outside soaking up some sun.

Matilda

Another Roald Dahl book to check out over the summer is Matilda. The classic story of a gifted 4-year-old with really bad parents will have you rooting for her success of becoming a normal little girl. It also quite possibly will have you taking your little sister out for summer ice cream.

The Outsiders

At any age, you will get a blast from the past when reading The Outsiders. Follow characters Pony boy and Soda pop as they try to get through mistakes they make in a judgmental society. This is a fantastic summer read for teens and adults!

Holes

Talk about wanting to stay out of the sun. In Louie Sachar’s Holes, follow Stanley and his friends as part of a juvenile detention, while they dig holes in a wasteland of heat and sunburns. Together they improve their characters as young men but not before embarking on a wild adventure in the desert that will leave you cheering for all of them.

Tooth Fairy DVD GiveawayCLOSED

Product description: Dwayne Johnson stars as Derek Thompson, one of the toughest hockey players around — until he’s sentenced to one week’s hard labor as the world’s most unlikely tooth fairy! Even though he must sport frilly wings and learn the magical tricks of the trade from his silver-winged superiors (Julie Andrews and Billy Crystal), Derek’s determined to do the job HIS way and prove he’s got what it takes!
Bonus Features:

  • Tooth Fairy Training Center

****This movie is a step up for Dwayne Johnson. I think he did a great job in this character. He is a hockey player who doesn’y believe in the tooth fairy, and because of that he is summoned to fairy land to serve as a tooth fairy.  I liked when he was getting chased by the cat and spulled out a horn and the cat went flying. This movie has it’s funny parts, but I would say it’s mainly for kids.

Product Details

Product Description: Mr. Fox plots the greatest heist ever in the animal kingdom.

Synopsis: Based on the beloved best-selling book by Roald Dahl (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), Fantastic Mr. Fox is family fun at its finest. Anderson employs a colorful supporting cast to bring his eccentric characters to life including Bill Murray (Lost In Translation), Owen Wilson (Marley & Me) and Willem Dafoe (Spiderman triology).  Packed with behind-the-scenes bonus features, including a special inside look at how stop-motion animation really works and much more.

Bonus features:

  • From script to screen
  • Still life, puppet animation
  • A beginner’s guide to Whack Bat

*****Fantastic Mr. Fox is funny and has a lot of child humor, but I do not think it is for young children. My ids did not really understand it. Still animation is wierd, it looked like a stuffed animal talking. Overall I thought the movie was okay, funny but wierd. It was very interesting to see how much  time and effort goes into Still animation.

Alvin and the Chipmunks The Squeakuel DVD Review & Giveaway4/4

Product Description: When a concert mishap lands Dave in the hospital, the Chipmunks take a break from superstardom and enroll in school to fit in with kids their age.  But they soon face some stiff competition when they meet the Chipettes — a beautiful, talented trio of chipmunks discovered by Ian, the boys’ evil ex-manager!

****My kids loved this movie!  It didn’t seem as funny as the first one, but it was still really good. The boys start school after Dave gets hurt and all the girls love them. The boys get jealous and start playing tricks on them including giving Simon a swirly.  The Chipettes meet with Ian and then faceoff with the Chipmunks in a Singing competition. Alvin never shows up so the Chipettes win.  They come together at the end and become one big family!  My daughters loved when the Chipettes sand Single Ladies. My favorite part was when Ian comes out and pretends to be the Chipettes with puppets, so funny.

Retail:$29.98 also on Blu-ray for $39.99
