What To Do With Holiday Left Overs #HormelFamily

Disclosure: I’ve partnered with Hormel Foods as part of the Hormel FoodsExtended Family Blogger Program. Throughout the year I’ll be receiving product, coupons, giveaways and promotions. However, no payment was given or expected for posting about the program, and as always, all opinions given here are fully my own.

I feel like all I have been doing is eating for days. Seriously, we cooked a big meal on Christmas Eve and Christmas night. Now we have a fridge full of leftovers, that we have to eat.

Christmas Eve we made steak, roasted potatoes and salad. So Christmas morning we decided to do breakfast with leftovers. We made steak and eggs with roasted potatoes. To spice it all up we added Hormel salsa. For the salad, yes I love to eat salad with breakfast. I added some cranberries and Hormel bacon bits.

It’s so easy to turn any kid of leftover into a good meal, by just adding a few things to spice it up.

Turbo Is helping Us With Goals and Chores #TurboFastFun @FHEInsiders #FHEI

Turbo just released on dvd, and it is one of the must see movies this holiday season. It has a lot of great story lines, like never give up on your goals.

I received the movie but also some other fun Turbo goodies like headbands, goal/chore charts, and more.

I always have a hard time getting my kids to follow through with there chores or goals I have for them, like reading 20 minutes a day. I am putting these goal charts to use and making sure they get through the tasks everyday.

At school they have a reward system, where when they earn so many stars for behaving they get prizes. I have decided to do that at my house. At the end of the week if the chart is filled out, The will earn a prize.

I put chores as well as simple easy chores, and goals on the charts. Things like cleaning your toys, clearing your plate, brushing your teeth. For the goals, there is reading 20 minutes a day, doing your homework etc.

My kids are still young so I don’t want to push them to hard. They haven’t complained yet and have most of their chart filled out.

Before we started the goal charts I had them watch Turbo again, so they can listen to the special message of Never giving up on your goals. They all wore there matching headbands!

Do you have a goal/chore chart for your kids? Does it work?

The Good Wife Is About To Get Serious

If you have been watching “The Good Wife” then you know that the show is getting really good. Every episode has been full of drama and leaving fans on the edge of their seats waiting for what happens next.

The Good Wife stars Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Julianna Margulies as Alicia Florrick, a wife and mother who reinvents her life following her husband’s sex and political corruption scandal. Four years into her tenure at the law firm of Lockhart/Gardner, Alicia accepts a prestigious partner offer from her bosses, Diane Lockhart, Will Gardner and David Lee. However, a mutual attraction with Will leaves Alicia conflicted after she agrees to renew her vows with her husband, Peter, who has won the gubernatorial election with the help of campaign manager Eli Gold. After much thought, Alicia agrees to leave Lockhart/Gardner to start a new firm with her colleague, Cary Agos, who is unable to convince investigator Kalinda Sharma to join them. Now, Alicia must find a way to balance her evolving career, her new position as First Lady of Illinois and her roles as a wife and mother to her teenage children, Zach and Grace. Emboldened by the prospect of taking control of her future, Alicia bravely ventures into unknown territory

The Next episode is entitled ” Hitting The Fan”
It is the most explosive episode yet. Here are some details on the episode:
Alicia and Cary’s plans to depart Lockhart/Gardner are suddenly exposed and a desperate battle to retain clients ensues.

The show will air on Sunday October 27th at 9PM ET.

Thinking about the upcoming episode, you have to decide which team you are on. Team Lockhart/Gardner or Team Florick/Agos?

Unknown

I think I would have to be on team Florick/Agos, I think it’s great that Alicia is branching out and starting her own firm. She is doing everything she should be to help her family and herself. after all she couldn’t stay at Lockhart/Gardner law firm with her attraction to Will, it will only cause problems with everyone.

What To Do When You Don’t Have A Kleenex Tissue

Disclosure: This is a compensated post with Kleenex brands. All opinions are my own.

There have been so many times I have not had a tissue nearby to wipe my nose and have used my sleeve or arm. It’s gross I know, but it happens. I did it a lot as a child and teen. It’s easier to just have your sleeve your arm to wipe your nose.
As a mother people always looked at me weird, because I would wipe my child’s nose with my fingers. As a mom you do everything for your infant, and if I didn’t have a kleenex tissue on hand. I had to do the ext best thing, but of course I washed my hand.
