Ever After High At Toy Fair 2014

Mattel showcased some new products for Ever After High this year.

They do not have a lot coming out that was showcased.

I made a short video on the products they had displayed.

Neighthan Rot is the only brand new character on display in the press section. His name is just as it sounds he is part Unicorn/centaur, so you have to neigh like a horse when you say it. LOL! He is also the love interest of a main character. I am not allowed to say who though, so you have to wait and see.

Monster High Toy Fair 2014

So so many rumors and “leaked pictures” have been floating around the internet. New Monster High dolls and lines etc.

I’ll admit that a lot of the photos that have been floating around, I can’t confirm are true. They were not displayed at Toy Fair. That does not mean the Rumors are false, it could be that those pictures were a prototype they are still working on or something.

Of course they had the most of the dolls that have been released. I did not see a few dolls that are just being released like “Slo Mo”.

Catacombs Castle: You move dolls up and down with attachments
Release date has not been official, but probably June 2014 with Freaky Fusion line.

The next few dolls are in boxes, but please keep in mind they have not been released and were just for show. I do not have any release date info for these.

My 3rd Star Student!

My children’s school has a assembly once a month and award a child with a meal and certificate for being a star student.

My oldest Kenzie gor Star Student for September 2013

My son received Star Student for December 2013

And finally after thinking she was never going to get it. My middle child Alex received star student for January 2014.

OshKosh B’gosh is Getting Ready For Spring #MC

I have never shopped at OshKosh before. So when I first walked in the store i was a bit surprised by the prices, they were a lot pricer than what I usually buy. They do have door busters and sales from time to time though.
When I shopped they had 40% off the entire store with 50% off certain items. They also have door busters on their new spring lines, like $7 leggings and $12 Tunics.

Even after the savings some of the prices were still a bit high, but the clothes were so cute.

With $100 gift card I was able to buy each one of my kids a outfit, so 3 outfits. I also bought a extra shirt and pants. Didn’t seem like to much for $100, but I was at least able to get a outfit for all 3 of the my kids.
The outfits I bought are:
Girls Leggings and Awesome shirt.

My kids loved all the clothes. The orange leggings are a bit see through, but they would still go perfect with a long shirt or dress.

There is also a coupon you can use 20% of a $30 purchase. I did not end up using the coupon because you can’t use it with the sales and door busters already in store.

We will most likely be going back to OshKosh to get more clothes in the future.

Valentines Day Ideas

We do not make a big deal about Valentines Day every year. It was a sad holiday as a kid, not worth talking about now. Anyway, my kids are in school and they do card exchanges, so we go all out.

My kids get a bit upset, as I buy Valentine cards on clearance sales every year. So their cards are never new up to date shows. To me a card is a card, whether it has Disney Princess or Monster High.

I am not really a crafty person, but this year I came up with the idea of adding our own personal touches to the cards. Not personalizing them in ways of pictures or notes, but with bracelets and rings.

My kids have gone with the craze of Rainbow Loom, it’s one of their favorite past times. We have rubber bands and bracelets all over my house.
So my idea was to add a Rainbow Loom ring or bracelet to each card for a person in class. We have so many, it would not hurt giving some away or making more.

So they started making Sweetheart bracelets and ones with red and pink.

I think they came out cute and will look great for Valentines Day.

Finally Star Student

My son who is in Kindergarten this year, has watched his sisters get Star Student in school every year. So now that he is in school, he has waited tirelessly month after month for his name to be called.

Yesterday was the assembly to announce star students for December. My son was sad all morning, crying and saying he wouldn’t win. I told him it would be okay and he is always my star student.

Behold he came off the bus, wearing a medal and big smile. He won Star Student this month. He is so proud of himself, he refuses to take off the medal.

Now my daughter i upset, because out of the three of them she is the only one who has not gotten star student this school year.

Braces Options For Kids

If your child needs braces, you’ll be glad to hear that he has more and better options than the “train track” braces you may have sported as a child. It’s not just that there are invisible and near-invisible braces available; the general stigma of braces has mostly faded away. Not only are braces more attractive and easier to wear now, but also they’re becoming almost cool. Tooth-colored ceramic braces have replaced the glaring look of traditional metal braces. Clear plastic aligners are available that can be removed during meals. The most advanced option isn’t even visible: hidden braces such as Incognito Invisible Braces are bonded to the back of the teeth, rather than the front, and cannot be seen at all under normal circumstances.

Traditional braces have the advantage of being more modestly priced than most other alternatives, and celebrities with grills have made the “metal mouth” look almost popular. Your child can choose brightly colored bands and fun brackets shaped like stars or footballs. But traditional braces still have some drawbacks, and if you compare traditional vs. Incognito Hidden Braces, they become clear. At this sensitive time of life, a child whose braces are completely unseen has an easier time socially than one with a mouth full of braces. Unseen braces may also give your child the confidence to participate more fully in class and extracurricular activities than he might with conspicuous traditional braces.

If your child’s dental issues are mild, you may have heard about clear plastic aligners that he can wear during the day. These aligners are much less noticeable than traditional or even ceramic braces, though they are shiny plastic and still reflect light. But keep in mind that they must be taken out during meals, and children are notoriously forgetful, especially of appliances they might prefer to “lose.” They must also be worn at least 22 hours a day to have the best effect. For these reasons, Invisalign may not be the best option for children and young teens. A better alternative for mild dental issues might be Incognito Lite. Incognito Lite Braces are a smaller version of Incognito Hidden Braces. They are bonded to the backs of the six most visible front teeth, and like all other braces, cannot be removed except by a dentist. Treatment time with Incognito Lite can be as little as six months.

Incognito and Incognito Lite Hidden Braces can be more of a financial investment than most of the other options, but they also provide the most benefits. Aside from the advantage of complete privacy, they also deliver a more precise and individually tailored result, because unlike traditional braces, they are custom-fitted to your child’s teeth. This customized treatment moves the teeth more efficiently than the other alternatives and often results in a shorter overall treatment time.

There are more alternatives now than ever before when it comes to braces for kids. When you make that decision, consider giving your child the most advanced braces option possible: Incognito or Incognito Lite Hidden Braces.
