The Amazing Spider Man Mega Bloks

You can recreate the battle between Spider-Man and The Lizard in the Bridge Showdown.   Spider-Man and his jeep, battle against Lizard and his enhanced tentacle attack walker and launcher.

**** This set is hours of playtime. My son loves cars and Mega bloks so this set was so much fun for him, having Spider-Man was the icing on top of it all.   The car and tentacle launcher was a little difficult to put together given all the small pieces, and after a few days the pieces started to get lost and we’d have to find them. All in all though it’s fun for the kids and great for them to follow along with the movie while they are playing.

Teaching Your Daughter Monthly Maintenance

I have been getting my daughter prepared for when she starts her period. She still have a year or two, but is really smart and has been asking questions. Now It’s time to start the talk about how to track, and prepare for exactly what day they start.

One problem I always had as a tween was tracking. I had a really weird cycle and I’d start at the beginning of the month, then the middle of the month. It was never the same.
I have explained to my daughter that it is good to always mark the day you start your period every month. You never know when the doctor will ask the question and just to be able to try and determine when your period will start the next month. So there are no stained underwear or accidents.
Another way to determine if your period is coming, is they may start to feel bloated, cramps and just be moody for no reason. LOL! I have also told my daughter that there are various moods you will experience when it’s that time of the month. It may be sadness, discomfort, restlessness etc. Thats normal, it’s just estrogen talking.

Now the really important part
One thing I hated was having to change my pad. It became such a pain and hard to get to a bathroom when you are in school. It’s important to change your pad every hour or when you use the bathroom, if it’s soiled. It will make you fell refreshed and clean.
My mother always taught me that it’s a good idea when your 5-7 day period is over to cleanse yourself. You can bathe very well or use a woman douche.

Ny Aquarium: Ascarium A Pirate Adventure

I downloaded the game on my Mac, and let my daughter play first. She loved it, You just match up the jewels as fast as you can to beat the levels. My daughter really loved that when you finish a level you go into this color warped tunnel. It’s a little mind-blowing, it feels like your actually in the computer screen.

My favorite is the puzzle challenge, every stage is different and you just need to solve the puzzle. Big Fish Games has a ton of family friendly games to choose from.

My son loves the little toy trucks you can buy at Hess gas stations every holiday season. Unfortunately we don’t live anywhere near one, we usually rely on family and friends to get them for us.

Starting this year Hess toy trucks will now be available for purchase online. On November 1 Hess will give out details of this years new toy.

Can’t wait? Starting October 22, fans will slowly be able to reveal clues to the new toy on Hess social networks and Facebook.  On November 9, 2012 the new Hess toy truck will be available for purchase in store at Hess and Hess Express locations, plus online at Hesstoytruck.com

** I really wanted to get this game to challenge my kids and this game really gets kids thinking.   I even found some parts difficult for me. We started with teh Spooky Mansion game and it was a lot of fun.

You have to go through different rooms and find items through the challenges to get out of the house. After you have finished a challenge another one arises. We have made it through the first couple of challenges, but are now stuck on the spinning plates.

With that challenge you have to spin all 3 plates at the same time and have green energy. It is really hard, we have been stuck on it for weeks.  There are little parts that just seem so hard to complete, but you just have to concentrate really hard.

How to Install Multiple Child Safety Seats in a Car

Car seats play an important safety role in modern vehicles. Since a vehicle’s seats are usually designed for adults, safety belts and airbags can be a hazard for children under the age of 12. While car seats can be a great tool for proper vehicle safety, it can be difficult to install them correctly. The following guide provides simple tips and tricks on how to safely install multiple car seats in a vehicle.
It’s important to understand how car seats work. Since a child is significantly smaller than an adult, many children will not be properly restrained in a traditional seat belt. In the event of an accident, a child can be severely injured or killed by a traditional safety belt. Several National Transportation and Safety Board (NTSB) accident review studies have shown that children will often slip out of a regular seat belt during an accident.

Child car seats are designed to secure a child in the event of an accident. Since child safety seats are designed to fit around a child, a child in a proper safety seat will be at a reduced risk of an accident.

However, it’s essential to make sure that car seats are installed in the proper ways. If a child isn’t buckled into a properly-placed car seat, he or she can be at an increased risk of injury in an accident.

It’s essential to make sure that one follows all instructions when placing a child in a car seat. In most cases, child seats are designed to face the rear of a vehicle. In the event of a front-end collision, children will be propelled into the back of their seat. This reduces the risk of injuries from seat belt attachments and straps. However, it can increase the risk of injury in a rear-end collision.

One should never place a car seat in the front of a vehicle. In many cases, an air bag can cause significant damage to a child in a car seat. Since air bags are designed to cushion a crash for an adult, they can’t provide good protection for a child in a specialized seat. Several accident reports have shown that air bags can actually kill a child if he or she is in a car seat. To avoid these types of problems, it’s a good idea to make sure that a child set is set up in the rear of a vehicle.

If a vehicle doesn’t have rear seats, it may be possible to set up a child seat in the front of the vehicle by following certain precautions. Some modern vehicles allow an individual to turn off the passenger air bag. However, it’s essential to make sure that one remembers to turn it back on when the seat is occupied by an adult.

Child safety seats play a critical role in preventing injuries during a vehicle accident. While child safety seats can be a valuable tool for many parents, it’s essential to make sure that seats are adjusted in the proper way.
