Tomorrow is my 9 year wedding anniversary and I am so thankful to be where I am today.   There have been some rough patches in my marriage though, as everyone does. Even contemplating divorce, thankfully we were able to work through our problems.

It got me thinking though what would I do with my wedding ring set, if we did split up.  Watching my parents split was hard and usually you want to get rid of everything from your partner including the ring.  So when you close that chapter of your life you should sell the diamond ring, earrings etc that could bring back painful memories.  You desrve a little spending money and happiness after such a hard time in your life.

The Diamond Lining to every divorce is the diamond ring!

It’s easy and safe to sell your Jewelry, you can do so in person or online. Yo can even find out the value of your diamonds online. DiamondLining.com is a safe and secure online Diamond buyer. You simply feel out a form online, they call you with a offer and then you decide. If you decide to sell you can send it via Fed Ex insured for free.  Then receive a immediate payment via check, wire transfer or Paypal.   It’s that simple.

I love how helpful they seem to be and you don’t have to drive all around town to find a good buyer. You can do everything from the comfort of your home. Plus they pay for your shipping costs, It’s a win win.

Have you sold your ring after a breakup?

Finding A Summer Camp In New York

This is a sponsored post

Unknown

It’s finally summer and now that my kids are out of school they are getting a little bored. I have been looking into Summer camps for them, and deciding which one is best. I always do this by location, amenities, and activities they have going on. After all, you don’t want to send your child away to camp unless you know it’s one of the bests.

One of the camps I have found is right here in New York near the Adirondacks. Camp Chateaugay is in a safe secure location right on the lake. Some of the activities that your child will experience are variety of sports, cooking, theatre, guitar, dancing and tons more.

After looking at the site, I would feel really comfortable sending my kids to this camp. They hire only the best staff, and The owners are all well educated and have tons of experience. They have nurse staff available for any problems. There is just so much going on at this camp, the entire day is full of activities.

This would be the the place to send your children for the summer. They will come away refreshed and ready to go back to school with a great experience.

For more information on the camp or rates, please visit their website www.chateaugay.com.

When You Need Money Fast, Sell Your Diamonds

This is a compensated post written by me on behalf of Selluseddiamonds.com

Unknown-1

I was recently a victim of a scam and lost some money. I was in a panic and really needed money, so I did the only thing I could think of at the time. I sold dome of my jewelry that I never wear. Including a old diamond ring that I had laying around.

Prices of diamonds and gold are going up and it’s a great way to get money in a hurry.

I did a little research online to make sure that I could get the right price and wouldn’t get ripped off or anything. I found www.selluseddiamonds.com and it was very informative about the process and how to figure out the value. It even has a lot of information about diamonds, including how diamonds never change. That’s the reason for the expression “Diamonds are Forever”. The site also gives great advice about selling your ring and why you should or should not do it.

The biggest thing to consider when you sell your diamonds is where to sell them. The site gives advice on pawnshops, jewelry stores and selling online.

Have you ever been in a situation where you had to sell your jewelry?

Put Your Head On My Shoulder, Not Your Snot #Clorox #ick-tionary

I am being compensated by The Clorox Company to share a new language about messes for the Clorox Ick-tionary

I have teamed up with Clorox to help create words for their new Icktionary campaign. You can visit www.icktionary.com for hilarious words and situations that any Clorox product will clean.  I am on my fourth word, and am having a blast making up all these words.

My fourth word is Shoulderpad, the definition is   “console a crying kid with a hug, win a day-long padding of snot residue on your sweater.”

This is a ick I know all two well having 3 kids.

IMG_0214

Shoulderpad is when your child has been crying or sick and you comfort them, then realize that she just wiped their nose on you. Even more than that they blow their nose on you, either way it’s gross. I have even gone in public with snot on my shoulder, just not realizing. My response when people give me a dirty look is, I am a mom.

Cleaning up the scenario is easy with Clorox, just use Clorox bleach or Clorox Bleach 2 for colors. Don’t forget the tissues for your child too!

Visit www.icktionary.com to find more words and funny scenarios.

On the site:

Learn how to clean the ick, and play games for a chance to win $25 gift card.

Note:

  • Clorox products should never be used directly on people.
  • Clorox Clean-Up Cleaner with Bleach and Clorox Disinfecting Wipes should only be used on hard, non-porous surfaces.
  • Always check clothing labels before using Clorox Regular-Bleach or Clorox 2 Stain Fighter & Color Booster.

Has this ever happen to you, console a child and get snot all over you?

Finding The Right iPhone Case For Summer

4382322_ra.jpg

Summer is upon us and it’s time to start thinking about ways to keep your iPhone safe. With all the summer activities families have going on phones can slip out and get damaged. At the beach you have to worry about having no pockets in your swimsuit, plus sand and water.Make sure you get a good phone case in case your phone does slip out of your pocket, it doesn’t get damaged.   My first phone I left sitting out and my daughter got a hold of it and buried it in the sand.. It was not working well after that.

Cascade Platinum Keeps Your Dishes Sparkling

“I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Cascade. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.”

IMG_0388

One chore I don’t mind doing in my house is the dishes, well as long as my dishwasher is working.   I love how easy it is to use, and if you have tons of dishes you can run it again.   I usually use liquid dish-washing detergent.  Sometimes though I notice that it leaves a little residue on the cups.  I always pre-rinse my dishes since our last dishwasher broke it’s just been a habit.

Then I was introduced to Cascade  Platinum packs. They are so easy to use, it’s just a little pack that you put in your dishwasher.

Cascade Platinum Pacs deliver the most powerful clean from Cascade, while also cleaning the inside of your dishwasher.

Cascade power pacs also”

  • powers away tough stuck on food
  • Eliminates the need to pre-wash dishes
  • delivers dishware shine
  • helps maintain the look of your dishes as well as keep your machine looking new.

IMG_0389

When i first tried these I was skeptical, since it was just a tiny pack and my dishwasher is old and I’ve always had trouble with residue and dishes not coming clean enough.   I was amazed with the Cascade Platinum pacs. They got my dishes clean and there was no little food pieces t the bottom of my dishwasher.  I couldn’t believe a little pac like that could make my dishes and dishwasher shine.

Plus, Having your dishes look their best makes the meal that much better. Gail Simmons, Top Chef Judge and Editor of Food and Wine magazine has teamed up with Cascade to discuss why presentation is just as important as preparation.

I believe that is true, when my husband was in undergrad school, he worked as a dishwasher in a restaurant. He was told from the beginning that without dishwashers and clean dishes the restaurant would be nothing.

Cascade Platinum is holding a Instagram contest that is running for four weeks. Each week they will have a theme and you just upload your pic of the theme to be entered. For more information on the contest visit here.
Each week 2 winners will receive a Whirlpool dishwasher, a lucky grand prize winner will receive a platinum kitchen.

Finding The Perfect Dress For You

This is not a sponsored post. Just sharing information.

I hate wearing dresses, There are just little things about me that make me feel awkward in a dress. I have a belly, acne etc. I never seem to find that dress that seems to be just me.

LightInTheBox.com has the solution for moms who need help finding the dress for them.

some examples:

Excuse: “I don’t like my flabby arms, shoulders, back and buttocks”

the key to the bandage dress is that it keeps everything defined and under control and suggests a high V-neck dress that covers and zips up the entire back, has sleeves that hide the shoulders and arms, and conceals and defines the behind.

Excuse: I don’t want to embarrass my kids by wearing something too tight, short or sexy

You can look sophisticated and successful in a bandage and suggests a scoop neck, short sleeve dress that is cut just above the knee.

Clorox Ick-tionary: Germs all around

I have teamed up with Clorox to help create some fun words to add to the Clorox Ick-tionary. These words are made up of scenarios of my everyday life, that are funny.

I have 3 kids, I go through it all.

I am now sharing word #3, and this one is a scenario that just makes me sick to my stomach. The sad thing is I see it on a daily basis, either from my kids, kids at the park, daycare etc.

The third word is…….

Snoyse-Watching someone sneeze on a toy, then another child picking it up.

CIMG4176

Gross, I know. I have seen my own kids do it to each other, specially in allergy season. they sneeze, snot drips down or they lick a toy, one of my other children not knowing whats on the toy picks it up and plays with it. Easy way to spread germs.

Luckily it is so easy to clean a toy after that situation. Their are so many useful Clorox products for this type of cleaning. You can use Clorox wipes, spray, or even just the bleach. Once a week, I put there plastic toys in the sink with bleach and water to sanitize them.

Check out more Ick-tionary words and definitions at www.icktionary.com.

Master Lock helps keep your bike protected

No formal compensation was received for this post. A product was provided by Mater Lock.

Master Lock, is well known for their sturdy and hard to break locks.  They have locks for every occasion, including lockers, bike locks, mini locks and more.

We only have 1 car, so my husband and I have to drive each other back and forth when one of us needs the car for the day. Usually I drive him around, since I have to run the kids around after school. To save gas during the spring and summer months my husband takes the bike to school/work.

Now his school has security, but I still want his bike to be secure and safe.  We hose to try out the Master Lock 8170D U Lock.

img.jsp

Features:

  • Fusion U Lock
  • Steel body helps prevent cutting, sawing and prying
  • Double locking shackle
  • disc key helps prevent picking
  • vinyl coating for weather resistance
  • bracket included for storage

**** I really like this lock and the bracket makes it so easy to keep the lock with you at all times. The lock is more sturdy and keeps the bike right in place compared to a wire lock. The only downside I have noticed is that our bike seems a little more heavier now that the bracket and lock on it. My husband said it makes the bike handle a little different.

You can pick up the U lock  from retailers nationwide or Mater Lock for  $15.81
