The 2015 Bethpage Air Show has been announced.

 

2015 Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach — The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will headline this year’s Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach. This will be the legendary demonstration squadron’s fourth appearance at the show. Their performance will include approximately 40 maneuvers, featuring formation flying and solo routines.
The show will also feature the Canadian Forces CF-18 Demonstration Team, the United States Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, the Breitling Jet Team, Sean D. Tucker – Team Oracle, Lt. Col. John Klatt – Air National Guard, the John Klatt Airshows – Screamin’ Sasquatch Jet Waco Aerobatic Team, GEICO Skytypers, Miss GEICO Speedboat, American Airpower Warbirds, and David Windmiller.

12PM-5pm both days
Jones Beach State Park
Wantagh, NY.

The show is free but admittance into Jones Beach is $10 per car or free if you have a Empire Pass.

Will you be attending this year? I have never been able to attend due to schedule conflicts but have always wanted to go.

At the end of Blogger Bash KidzVuz held a back to school event, where you could bring your family. So I left a bit early to o meet my family at Penn Station for the event.

The kids were so excited for this event, they loved the last KidzVuz event they attended.

The kids first walked in and were immediately overwhelmed and wanted to run to everything. My daughters first ran to StarStable, which is a great new online game for girls. They were offering girls a hairstyle while they played the game.

There were so many great companies on hand including Microsoft, Hasbro, Speck, Lands End. They even had WWE Wrestlers on hand to give autographs and pictures.

My kids were jumping around so we missed so much, but there favorite part was the money machine From School Specialty.

We were met on our way out with a family photo which I was so thankful for as we rarely ever take one.

I attended Blogger Bash this past weekend. It was the first conference I attended where I felt I actually walked away with brand connections.

Blogger Bash was tons of parties wrapped into one day.

Day 1 was Sweet Suite 14

When you first walked in you were met by KidzBop. They are so cute, unfortunately I didn’t get any pics as it got really crowded.

You could walk around and visit brands like Leapfrog, Playtime, Crayola, Skylanders and so much more.
One of my favorites was Playtime Toys, they actually had dress up clothes for adults. So I got to play princess for 5 minutes.

I just now realized I blew up my Instagram feed with pics but barely took any with my own camera. So please feel free to check out all the pics on Instagram.

Day 2: Blogger Bash

Day 2 started really early with Lego Batman Breakfast, which was great.

Next was speed dating and this was my favorite as we got to sit down with brands and discuss what we want out of a partnership and how they work with bloggers etc. I did miss a lot of companies though as they had tons of people waiting to talk and not enough time.

Peanuts was there with Snoopy celebrating 50 years!!

After that was lunch for me. Now keep in mind there were other events going on but just not enough time to go to each.

Lunch was with Johnny Rockets. I was expecting Burgers since thats what they are famous for, but they had sandwiches and salads. Which is just as great.

Plus we got to make our own milkshakes!!!

Next up was the amazing Baby Palooza, where we got to hear Anne Geddes talk. Can I just say I have never heard so many words of wisdom, she truly is down to earth and a great speaker.

Then there was the NickMom’s party which was just a great time to relax and have a drink. Oh and they had a really hot shirtless Fireman.

The conference ended with KidzVuz but that will come in a another post.

Being a science family and living in Long Island has tons of perks. There are so many places to find out amazing science facts. Just here in our area of the North Shore we have Cold Spring Harbor Lab., DNA Learning Center, Whaling Museum. There is Brookhaven National lab, and in NYC there is the Natural History Museum.

My husband is actually a PHD student at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. So we hear about tons of interesting things going on. One being the DNA Scavenger Hunt they have every year.

IT IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

The DNA Scavenger hunt will take place tomorrow April 26, 2014 in Cold Spring Harbor Village, It runs from 12PM to 4PM.

You will start and pick up your sheet at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory’s DNA Learning Center (334 Main St.)

From there you will be guided through the Whaling Museum, the Firehouse Museum and Cold Spring Harbor Library and Enviromental Center.

This is a fun event and you get to learn so much about the culture and of course DNA.
Along your way to different stops, you can take in the beauty of the harbor and Cold Spring Harbor park. It really is beautiful.
