I have not had a hair cut in 2 years, and I finally decided to get it done. My hair was so long it was getting into everything.

I cut off 5 1/2 inches and added some layers, it’s going to take some getting use to.

Makeover part 2:
We live in a small duplex, and all of our bedrooms are upstairs. To keep the kids downstairs we have all the toys in the living room, but the kids have so many toys that it can be very messy and disorganized. We want there bedrooms to be free of toys, since it is where they sleep. So I got this idea from my daughters preschool classroom.

So much better and organized. I love it, and now it’s one bin out a t a time instead of just thrown toys everywhere.

Makeover
Now that we have decided to stay in Long Island and my husband continue with his PHD studies. We are making over our living room. Everything we have ever bought furniture wise has been from a second hand store or given to us by family. Well we bought a futon when we first moved in together, but that broke in a few months and was so uncomfortable.
So we have been saving up and now are starting the process of remodeling. Our new furniture isn’t set to arrive for another couple of weeks. Here is what we have done so far.
We bought a 22 inch tv with VCR about 5 years ago, and the Vcr broke after a couple months( the kids sticking things in there). It’s a big bulky tv and we really needed to upgrade.

It kind of clashes with our entertainment center, but HD is so much better. We found the Westinghouse 40″ TV on sale at Target

Fun Summer
We have been having a fun summer, so far haven’t really gone anywhere exciting or anything. We can make deal with what we have though. The most important thing is to be safe, which is why I have been using SPF 90 on my kids. LOL!
She Lost Another
My daughter lost another tooth, this time she lost a front tooth. So now both her bottom teeth and her right front one.
We were at Toys R Us picking up backpacks and she kept playing with her tooth. Then all the sudden it was just hanging there, then it came out. People in the store were commenting saying how cute, what a big girl etc.
Our 4th Of July Celebration
There is not a lot of Firework shows within an hour drive of us. There are a few outside of an hour like NYC Firework spectacular or a Car raceway, but with the late night fireworks and long drive; We decided against it.
There was a feast and Festival at a local Catholic church/school with Fireworks on Saturday, so we decided to attend that. They had tons of rides and games, although I think majority of Carnival games are a rip off. They had a few kiddie rides for my youngest which was really fun. It just also happen to be my husband and I anniversary, so it was a fun family day out.
Merry Go Round is always fun and Easy
This picture is bad, but my Husband took my 6 yr old and 5 yr old on the Pirate ship ride that sways back and forth(to the point where it almost flips over). I had to stop watching after a couple of minutes as I started to cry, because I was afraid one of my babies would fall out.

Fireworks
We had a lot of fun and celebrated with Hamburgers and hotdogs on Sunday.
Today is more of a relaxed day and we will be celebrating by watching fireworks on TV, since we have work tomorrow.
HAPPY INDEPENDANCE DAY
This Is So Cool
We went to a birthday party for one of my daughters friends today. It was at a indoor mini golf/arcade place. (I not going to name the place, since I am not working with them, no free advertising). Anyway we had a blast and it turned out to be so cool!
It was all glow in the dark, and scary.
I think this place was a little scary for little kids, there is a big monster that roars the whole time.
This Is all She wanted Before School Ended
My daughter Kenzie comes home every month with tears in her eyes, she is never chosen as the star student. She couldn’t understand why, she always behaves, does everything asked etc. I couldn’t explain why.
So yesterday she comes off the bus with the biggest smile on her face trying to hide a blue paper from me. She finally screamed ” I GOT STAR STUDENT” She was so excited. good things come to those who wait!
Kenzie’s End of The Year Concert
I have been a little disappointed with my childrens school, I have not been able to attend anything at the school because i don’t have a babysitter for my younger kids. Everytime I get an invitation to something It states in big bold letters Make arraigngments for your younger children. It irriatates me. So I took my kids anyway and got to see her last concert.
I was going For Crazy But I got Cute and I Love It!
My daughter is having spirit week at her school and on Wednesday it was crazy hat day. Well we don’t have any crazy hats, so I thought I would try to do a crazy hair do.
This is how it turned out

I put her hair in pigtails and then took the pigtails at put a ponytail on top of her head.
It came out really cute and she was getting compliments all day. I even loved it, and I will be doing her hair like that again.
