Our decision not to have any more children

My husband and I have decided to not have any more children. We factored in the pros and cons of having more children, and ultimately decided not to.

We have had 3 kids in less than 3 years,  and I don’t think my body can handle another baby.(i had extremely hard pregnancies)

My husband is still in school and financially we can’t afford it.

We are extremely busy, and want to focus on giving them the attention and love they need.

I am happy with my decision, and can always adopt.  Growing up I was told it would be impossible for me to have kids due to medical reasons. Boy I proved them wrong! I always wanted to have all my kids before I was 28 and that’s accomplished. I’m only 25.

Disney’s Old Dogs DVD/Blu-Ray Review

OldDogs3DiscComboPackBluray.jpg

Description:John Travolta and Robin Williams star in Old Dogs, the hilarious family comedy that will have you howling. Two best friends have their lives turned upside down when they’re unexpectedly charged with the care of seven-year-old twins while on the verge of the biggest business deal of their lives. The clueless bachelors stumble in their efforts to take care of the children, leading to one debacle after another, with a gorilla and some pecking penguins — and perhaps to a newfound understanding of what’s really important in life. Featuring a riotously funny supporting cast including Seth Green, Kelly Preston, Matt Dillon and Lori Laughlin, Old Dogs is a laugh-a-minute comedy filled with heart.

Bonus Features:

  • Bloopers and deleted scenes
  • Audio commentary
  • Every little step- music video by John and Ella Bleu Travolta

Bonus on Blu -ray

  • you’ve been a friend to me-music video
  • Young dogs learn old tricks

****I didn’t think that this movie would be that funny, but it is, It has it’s boring parts too. The gorilla enclosure scene is hilarious, and i think Seth Green did a great job in that part. I also liked when Robin Williams and Kelly Preston were having dinner and he totally has the wrong idea of the conversation, just to be hit with a bomb shell.  I really like that me and hubby can enjoy a funny movie without having to worry about the kids walking around the corner and seeing or hearing  something inappropriate. This movie is for the whole family and is only rated PG.

Black History Month Presentation

My daughter’s preschool had a presentation for Black History Month. Different classes did different things, like described inventions people had made, sang songs and more.

My Strong and Happy Contest Entry

5 Minutes for Mom is holding a contest with Yoplait kids. They want parents to show their childs drawing showing themselves Happy.

Here is my entry

This was drawn by my 4 year old daughter McKenzie. What makes her happy is sunny days, rainbows and of course love.

I hope to make the finalist where your vote could help my child win $1000.00 towards educational classes.

Spending the Day at Preschool

I volunteered at my daughters preschool yesterday, they were going to have a party and make a gingerbread house.  Well the day started off bad because there was a black ice delay.   So it didn’t start til 11, and they get out at 2.

So at first everyone just got to play, playdoh, cards, etc. My DD and her friends made bracelets with beads.

So then they finally got to make Houses out of graham crackers. Honestly I got a little upset, because I volunteered to bring in the graham crackers, m&m’s and chips. Which I did, but only 6 out of the 18 kids got to make them.  Even today no one else got to make them.

So I feel like the food i bought got wasted, and will probably go to the cafeteria to be used for something else.  Which is fine, but we don’t have a lot of money and thats not my job.

Anyways

here is how her house turned out.

Plus when we got home all three of my kids made this

Happy Holidays!

Blogging vs Parenting

This is not geared towards anyone.

I wrote this because I even struggle with this problem.

Blogging is my hobby and I love it. I get a lot of fun out of it and I try to bring fun to everyone else. If you’ve noticed though my blogging time has been cut down tremendously.    I blog a lot when kids are sleeping, but hubby complains.

I realized that I was spending too much time on the computer and not enough time with my children, or husband. Now I am home all day with my kids, but I do go on the computer  occasionally.  My children are never unattended, and my laptop follows them.

Family is always first. Money, free products, free trips, etc. is nice, but if it doesn’t involve my family it’s not worth it.
