They were all very good. My kids have been enjoying them and can’t wait to have more in their Easter Baskets. I loved the chocolate covered Peeps, I think that would be my favorite. The milk chocolate egg with a peep inside was good, but the peep inside was stale and hard as a rock.  The Peepsters are so easy to put in Easter eggs for egg hunts. Plus they taste so good.

You can find Peeps at retailers nationwide now.

March is National Peanut month and National Peanut Butter Lovers month. It’s the perfect time to celebrate with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.  On average a person will consume 6 pounds of peanut and peanut butter products a year.

There are so many different options to spice up your peanut butter now.  My daughters new favorite sandwich is a chocolate peanut butter and jelly, or just the chocolate peanut butter sandwich.

Skippy Peanut Butter now offers Chocolate flavored peanut butter .  Along with just making sandwiches, there are a variety of other great recipes to make with peanut butter. Some of my favorite are

Be Heart Healthy with Campbell’s

Disclosure: This post is Sponsored by Campbell Soup Company.

Being heart healthy has been so important to me, not only because it keeps you healthy. In my family alone we have had heart disease, it’s a scary thing to have to deal with.
It’s been very hard though especially after living in the south and getting use to eating a lot of fried food. I have learned a few ways to always make sure I am serving something that is good for my family. Every meal has a vegetable or fruit, I find little ways to sneak them into meals so the kids don’t know!

Campbell’s wants to share great heart healthy recipes. Here are some of my favorites:

Grilled Bruschetta Chicken

Louisiana Style Chicken, Sausage and Shrimp Skillet

Pizza Primavera with Cauliflower Crust

Slow Cooked Chicken & Butternut Squash

Creamy Chicken and Vegetables over Spaghetti Squash

Two of their favorite snacks that I always have on hand are Hormel pepperoni stix’s and Hormel Rev Wraps. The Rev wraps and pepperoni stix’s are perfect little snacks that are easy to take and go. When we have a busy day of errands ahead, I usually pack small lunchbox full of them.

Leigh Anne Tuohy’s Big Game Entertaining Tips #HormelFamily

However, no payment was given or expected for posting about the program, and as always, all opinions given here are fully my own.

The Superbowl is taking place on February 2, 2014 and I have been writing a lot about my favorite snacks and foods for the big game. Hormel has shared some of Leigh Anne Tuohy’s entertainment tips for the big day. Leigh Anne Tuohy is a football and entertaining expert, she was also the inspiration behind the hit film “The Blind Side”.

Here are her top 5 tips:

  1. Always smile. Don’t let your guests know you are stressed-bring a smile and remember it’s not what you do for someone, it’s what they think you do for them.
  2. Delegate! People are always asking how they can help, so give everyone something to do.   Even if it is something as simple as pouring the wine or putting napkins on the table, it’s one less thing for you to worry about.
  3. Tailgating means potluck in the south. Le everyone bring something-but have some guidelines. Create a theme for your party.  It gives people the opportunity to be creative and lightens the load on you.
  4. Don’t sweat the small stuff. My mother always taught me if you have friends, great lighting, and good music then you have a party. Use old Christmas lights for lighting, plug in your iPhone for instant music, and use cut flowers from your backyard for decoration.  You will be amazed how pretty it looks and how simple it can be.
  5.  Plan ahead. Do what you can the night before. Have everything in containers and ready to go-you mayor always have much time to prepare before a game, and you want to enjoy as much time with friends and family.

Leigh Anne Tuohy has put together some of her game day favorites for the big game.

The Superbowl is creeping up, have you decided what food you’ll provide. I have decided not to make a big deal out of it as it will only be my immediate family.
Definite check is pizza and chicken wings. The one thing my kids can not have a party without.

My kids favorite topping is pepperoni, so I am making the pizza myself with Hormel pepperoni.

Getting Ready For the Superbowl with Stonefire

Disclosure: No formal compensation was received for this post. A product was provided for review.

Every year we do a small party, with just immediate family and watch the super bowl. A tradition I started with my oldest daughter when my husband was deployed. We usually have dip with chips, and pizza with chicken wings.

The year I am switching out the chips with dip for Pita with Hummus. A Much healthier option.

IMG_1166

I was introduced to Stonefire brands at a blogging event with KidzVuz. They had samples of pita sandwiches and they were so delicious. It’s now become one of the foods I eat all the time.

IMG_1171

IMG_1172

Besides Pita they also have pizza crust and Naan flatbread.

My favorite thing about Stonefire Breads is that you can you can put anything in them Make sandwiches out of the pita bread. The Naan bread and pizza crust have been great for making appetizers. I even made a stuffed pizza inside the Naan bread.

What are your food plans for the Super Bowl? Have you tried Stonefire?
