Kelloggs FiberPlus Antioxidants Cereal Review

Product Descriptions:Kellogg’s Fiber Plus Antioxidants Berry Yogurt Crunch is a whole grain wheat and rice flakes with berry and yogurt flavored clusters.

Delightful cinnamon flavor and crunchy oats make this healthy high-fiber cereal sweetly satisfying. While many Americans don’t get enough fiber and antioxidant vitamin E daily2, Kellogg’s FiberPlus™ cereals deliver nutrition and great taste. With 35% of your daily fiber and antioxidant vitamins C and E, this delicious cereal is a great way to jump-start the day

****This cereal has a lot of vitamins and is good for you. It has a enjoyable taste at first, but it kindof leaves a bad aftertaste in your mouth, the Cinnamon Oat Crunch more than the Berry Yogurt.  I think I like the Berry Yogurt more than the Cinnamon Oat Crunch. Another downside is the cereal leaves a film on your teeth, so you need to brush immediately afterward.

Smuckers Uncrustables Review

Now that my daughter is in school, things have been very hectic. My daughter is so picky that we make her  a lunch, I’m afraid that she will never eat what the school provides.   Everyday its a fruit, peanut butter and jelly sandwich, capri sun, and a snack.  My daughter is not very fond of the crusts on her sandwich. Thankfully we found Smuckers Uncrustables.

Smuckers Uncrustables sandwiches are wholesome snacks that have great homemade taste without the crust.

My children absolutely loved the uncrustables.  No need to worry about knifes, you don’t even need to warm these up, just thaw out for about 30 minutes and they are ready to go.  No mess, just put in a lunch and its good for 8-10 hours after thawing. The bag is a little hard to open for little hands.

Retail: $2.99 for a 4 pack

Bake Shoppe Cookie Dough Miniatures Review

Egg free bite size cookie dough morsels drenched in pure milk chocolate with real butter in the batter.

**These bite size chocolate chip cookie dough snacks are very good, but still not as good as eating regular cookie dough. Even the cookie dough in ice cream tastes better. You mainly taste the chocolate and not so much of the cookie dough. they are a little harder too, regualer cookie dough is soft and moist. Like I said though it still is a good snack.

New York Style with Avocados

Now New York is known for the Statue of Liberty, Time Square, Empire State building.   Pizza is very big in New York (and NYC), so I thought it would be fun to try to make an avocado pizza. Given there are already recipes out there for  this, but hey it’s still good.

Avocado pizza

  • 1 thin pizza crust
  • 1 package mozzarella cheese
  • 1 can pizza or tomato sauce
  • pepperoni
  • 2 avocados

pre heat oven to 425 degrees. Spread pizza sauce on crust, sprinkle on cheese(use whole bag). add Pepperoni lots of them. bake for 10-20 minutes until crust is brown and cheese is melted.

Slice avocados and add them to top of pizza, serve and enjoy. DO NOT add avocados to pizza before baking, they will taste bitter.

I’ll admit sometimes i just buy a pizza from our local hometown shop and add avocados.

Another big thing is bagels again just add them on top of your bagel and cream cheese.

Avocados are very healthy at only 50 calories per ounce (3 slices), plus they are sodium and cholesterol free. You can use avocados in everything and they boast 20 vitamins and minerals per serving.

The MAHIA is holding a contest for the Big Hit, and want to see your hometown recipe. visit www.TheAmazingAvocado.com,  you could be a avocado league MVP and win avocados for a year.

Have Some Lemonade with Country Time giveawayCLOSED

From Site: What better way to enjoy the summer than with a tall, refreshing glass of Country Time Lemonade. The taste that’s not too tart and not too sweet. Why not mix up an icy, cold pitcher, sit back and drink it all in. Summer’s just not summer without Country Time.

Country time has two lemonade flavors, regular lemonade and pink lemonade. Both are refreshing and have 40% less sugar than leading soda brands.

****We make a lot of kool-aid in our house, so i thought that this was going to be exacyly like that. I was wrong making the lemonade was so much easier. No need for measuring cups and worrying about sugar. the country ime cannister has a measuring cup in the cap.  All you do is fill a pitcher with cold water measure the lemonade mix in cap, pour stir and your done. It’s very delicous too, my kids can’t get enough of it.  It’s a great summer treat.

It’s been so hot even here in New York, tempuratures have reached in the triple digets. It’s always nice to cool down with some ice cream. Breyers has 6 new bars and sandwiches that are so delicious. The flavors are Chocolate Caramel Brownie, Vanilla Caramel Chip, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Chocolate Covered Strawberry, Vanilla Fudge Brownie, and Triple Chocolate Chip.  With 6 grams of fat per serving and 160 calories or less, these are a great treat

****These are good, The best would have to be Cookie Dough sandwiches. It’s like having two chocolate chip cookies with cookie dough ice cream in the middle. My only complaint is that they are very small ice cream sandwiches, and here in NY they are $4.49 for a box of six.

Summer Recipes with Duncan Hines

Although the 4th of july has already passed, a flag cake would make a fun dessert for any summer party.

  • 1 pkg Duncan Hines Moist Deluxe Classic White Cake Mix
  • 1 3 oz pkg red flavor gelatin
  • 1 8 oz container whipped topping
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 pint strawberries
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup miniature marshmallows
  • aluminum foil/fancy foil – color of your choice
  • star shaped stickers
  • miniature American candy flags

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 °F. Grease and flour a 13×9-inch pan.
  2. Prepare, bake and cool cake according to package directions.
  3. Use a large fork to make holes in the cake about every 1/2-inch.
  4. Pour gelatin into a large bowl. Add boiling water and mix until gelatin is completely dissolved. Stir in cold water. Pour gelatin over the cake allowing it to run into the holes.
  5. Refrigerate cake for 3 to 4 hours before serving.
  6. Cover a cake tray with aluminum foil then place on tray to decorate.
  7. Frost the sides and top with whipped topping. Then arrange strawberries, blueberries and marshmallows on the cake to create a ‘stars & stripes’ pattern. Use the blueberries to create a blue background in the upper left hand corner.
  8. Take your foil stars and miniature American flags and decorate the sides of the cake. Once you have finished decorating the cake, place in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve it.

****I think this flag is so cute, i love that the recipe uses fruit instead of a lot of candy.   I didn’t get to finish the entire cake, due to lack of products needed, but it was ok. Marshmallows and fruit don’t really go together, but it tasted sweet.

Summer Recipes with Finlandia Cheese

Here is a recipe with Finlandia Cheese just in time for summer.

A little about Finlandia Cheese-Finlandia cheeses are imported, with over 150 years experience Finlandia creates expertly crafted, delicious tasting cheeses that are rich, robust and full of flavor. Finlandia cheeses are also all natural, lactose free, and hormone free.

The Ultimate Cheeseburger

  • 1 1/4 pounds of ground beef
  • 1 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 3 tbsp ketchup
  • 1tbsp prepared horseradish
  • 2 tsp prepared mustard
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Finlandia Cheese(Swiss. Muenster or Gouda)
  • 4 sesame seed buns or hard rolls

Combine lean ground beef with onion, ketchup, horseradish, mustard, salt and pepper. Gently mix with hands till all ingredients are blended. Shape into 4 patties about 1/2 inch thick. Grill or broil until desired doneness. Pile high with your favorite Finlandia cheeses.

****This recipe was good. I have never had aged cheese or imported cheese. I had never even heard of Finlandia cheese before. The problem I had was none of the Finlandia cheese i found was lactose free, they all said contains milk in them.
