Dr. Oetker Ristorante is Italy’s best kept secret in the North Eastern part of the US. They’re running a “Tales of the Heart” contest to reward romantic couples with an all-expenses paid trip to Italy.

Dr. Pepper turns 125

Thats right Dr. Pepper is a very old soda! Still tastes very good.

David Naughton the “i’m a pepper” commercial from Dr. Pepper. He came back to celebrate their 125th birthday.

The dr. pepper/Snapple group management celebrated by ringing the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange.  David Naughton brought a mob of dancers to celebrate. here is the video.

Plus Dr. Pepper will air a commercial on Super Bowl Sunday for Dr. Pepper Cherry. The commercial will feature Gene Simmons along with the other KISS band mates.

I was able to try  Country Bobs all-purpose sauce.

**** It was okay, I’m not a big fan of steak sauce, but I love BBQ sauce. The all-purpose sauce tasted a lot like A-1 just sweeter. I tried it on chicken and french fries. You can put it on almost everything, steak, fries, hamburgers, chicken, and more.

Pizza Hut is starting 2010 with a bang. You can get any pizza you want for $10. That means any size, your favorite crust(stuffed crust is a dollar more), and any toppings.

***The pizza is good, it tastes pretty much the same as when you order a regular pizza. they didn’t really go all out on the toppings, but it’s as good as when you pay full price

They have three crust options, over a dozen toppings to choose from, and of course three sizes. This deal includes meatlovers and supreme.

The first step in planning for victory is deciding what your victory should be. And this year, Special brought victory to life with six real women who shared their own victory stories.
These six women shared what “victory” means to them with Special K women across the country. They could be friends, neighbors or the moms who drive the carpool on Tuesdays. They aren’t celebrities or public figures. they’re real women!

The be victorious women share some of their Victories, that were part of their television ad.

*** These bars are delicious, they taste just like poptarts. just half the fat. They come in strawberry and blueberry.

Special K low-fat Granola-This cereal has clusters of whole grain and sweet honey. At 5 grams of fiber and 3 grams of fat per serving this is a great way to start the day.

*** This is really good, I am not a big fan of Special K cereals, but low-fat granola is really good.  My husband likes it also, which is rare. It has a very strong Honey granola taste. The box says lose pounds in 2 weeks. I think that is if you eat it with skim milk. This is a great healthy breakfast.

Kraft’s new foods: Applewood smoked bacon(giveaway)

The new Oscar Mayer super thick cut applewood smoked bacon is sliced twice as thick for more bacon per bite. The bacon is smoked for hours with applewood chips for a restaurant inspired bacon experience.

Some facts about this new bacon:

  • is the first super thick bacon available nationally that offers restaurant inspired taste.
  • twice as thick as regular Oscar Mayer Bacon with nine slices per package.
  •  made from a more premium cut that’s specially selected and hand trimmed to meet standards of restaurant chefs.

****These are big slices of bacon, but are very delicious.they take about 10-12 minutes to cook, but it is very well worth it. The downside to the bacon is there a 7g of fat per slice. This is the bacon you would want to use on a bacon cheeseburger.

Store Brand formula Vs. Name Brand

When I had my first child, I was so upset that I could not breastfeed. In fact my daughter barely ate the first three days of life, because I was having trouble. The thought of buying 10 cans of formula a month was overbearing. I wanted name brand formula as i thought it was better for baby, but at 15 dollars a can, i couldn’t afford it. Luckily WIC stepped in and helped me.

For those of you who don’t get WIC, i have good news. The store-bought brand is just as healthy as the name brand.  In a lawsuit against Mead Johnson the maker of Enfamil. Found to have falsely claimed that store brand products such as Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club Target, Kroger and Walgreens-were not as good as Enfamil.

All infant formula sold in the U.S must meet the same nutrient requirements. Which means saving money for you. . So you can buy store brand formula and get all the benefits of name brand formula for less of the price. Plus store brand formula usually comes in a bigger can!

Start your Day Off With A Healthy Breakfast

I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t eat breakfast, well not every day at least.  Being a mom of three I just don’t really have the time. I do make sure my kids eat a good breakfast. Mainly cereal with fruits.

General Mills wants you to know the importance of breakfast, especially in children. ready-to-eat cereal eaters consume less fat, less cholesterol and more fiber than non-cereal eaters?  Cereals also deliver important vitamins, minerals and other important nutrients.

Cereal is a Great and easy way bring the family together at the table for breakfast. A study in 1998 showed that kids who ate breakfast did better in school, better on tests, fewer disciplinary problems, and are more likely to attend class on time. Compared to kids who skipped breakfast.

General Mills sent me 4 coupons to try their Cereals. We tried out Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cookie Crisp, Trix Swirl, and Fruity Cheerios. My kids loved them, they are tasty, enjoyable and still healthy. With less sugars, calcium and vitamin D, it’s a great way to enjoy breakfast. Plus my kids are so happy, they don’t have to eat just plan cereal anymore.
