Panera Bread’s New Broth Bowls Giveaway 3/25

Disclosure: A gift card was received to facilitate this review.

Panera Bread is one of my favorite places to grab a quick bite to eat on my Lunch break. They have everything from sandwiches, salads, desserts, soups and so much more.

The Asian-inspired Broth Bowls combine exotic and delicious ingredients — like quinoa, kale and chicken raised without antibiotics — to create filling bowls full of global flavors and fresh greens, all steeped in umami soy-miso broth. The new Broth Bowls allow guests to awaken their appetites for adventurous eating while also enjoying familiar options.

The new Broth Bowls include
Soba Noodle Bowl with Chicken
Soba Noodle Bowl with Edamame
Lentil Quinoa Bowl with Chicken
Lentil Quinoa Bowl with Cage-Free Egg

It has been the coldest on record in 20 years here in NY and having the option to get a meal that is hot and you can take with you is great. I tried the Soba Noodle with Chicken bowl and it was very good. I am not a fan of the long noodles, but it was still very tasty and piping hot.
The bowl looked very small so I opted to get 2 for 1 deal where you buy a Broth Bowl and get 1/2 a sandwich for a few dollars more. I couldn’t even get to the sandwich the bowl was so filling and was bigger than it actually looked.

Broth Bowls are $8.99 and come with a side of bread.

Today is national pizza day. The day to indulge and enjoy your favorite pizza. Everyone loves Pizza, wether you like it plain with cheese, no cheese, veggies or all the toppings. I have never met a person who doesn’t like pizza.

When it comes to pizza, I prefer to make my own. Ordering out is good, but can be expensive, so I always make my own.

I buy both pre made dough and dough mix. On pizza days, I make a pizza for the kids and then a total dairy free pizza for my husband.

The kids pizza is simple with just pepperoni. My kids love Hormel pepperoni and think the pizza tastes better when the pepperoni is fresh out of the package.

The dairy free pizza is made with gluten/dairy free dough. pizza sauce and depending on how we want to make it either just sauce with toppings or we will use dairy free mozzarella cheese. My husbands favorite toppings are of course pepperoni and sausage.

The playoffs are this weekend and we will be watching as a family. We aren’t rooting for any particular team, but it’s quality time together and something we all enjoy.

When the playoffs are on, we always get lots of snacks and food for the 6 hour playoffs. There is 2 games so plenty of food.

Our favorites to have on hand are of course Chi Chi’s chips and salsa, that is usually the first app that gets eaten. ChiChi’s Tortilla Rounds are perfect corn crisp chips, we paired it with mild thick and chunky salsa, and also salsa con queso.

DSCN0036

My kids love cheese and crackers, so I always make sure to have those on our family nights. I love Hormel party trays, because it’s no mess and easy to prepare. I picked up a new tray to try which consists of Crackers cheese and Turkey. I have always loved Turkey more than any other lunch meat. So this was one of my favorite snacks and a little healthier too.

So who is gearing up for the playoffs with all their favorite foods.

My kids love to do a taco night and we go all out with Tacos, burritos, fully loaded nachos, salsa and more. It’s one of our guilty pleasure nights. I have never been big on guacamole, but my kids and husband love it. The problem is that they really don’t eat that much of it and a lot goes to waste when I make it myself or buy a tub of it.

dev-guac-large-snackclassic

Hormel sent me the Wholly Guacamole minis and they worked out perfectly. Didn’t have to worry about food getting wasted and most importantly there was no fighting between my 3 kids over who got the bowl.

classic guacamole in fun, 100 calorie, portable cups. Peel the lid back a little for an easy squeeze or peel the lid back all the way for delicious dipping. This is an easy guacamole to love. It’s simple
guacamole goodness in the convenience of a travel cup. Stays
good in your freezer for up to 3 months.

I’ll admit I am the parent who will slave over the stove and then make a Easy 2nd meal option for the kids. Mainly because I know they will not eat what I have made but it’s something I wanted.

I love so many different kinds of food that I know my kids won’t touch or will take one bite and complain. I rarely do it just to have to avoid the extra preparation and cleaning, but when I do I always turn to pre cooked meals.

This past weekend I wanted Teriyaki chicken and rice, so I made a Hormel slow simmered Beef Roast. It’s so easy to make just pop it in the microwave or oven for a few minutes and it’s ready.

IMG_2186

IMG_2189

My kids loved it they said it tasted just like steak and were asking for more when the whole serving was gone. Pare that with another one of their favorites like Macaroni or mash potatoes and they have a easy prepared meal with no complaining.

You can Find Hormel refrigerated entrees at any grocery retailer for around $4.

Do you make separate meals for the kids from time to time?

I have been a Hormel blogger for 3 years now and from time to time I will get sent a few extra coupons or products that I can’t use immediately. This holiday season Hormel sent a bunch of coupons for Lloyds products. I decided to give some away on my blog, as well as make a giving box for a family in need.

I went out and bought some food and rumbled through my cupboards looking for non perishables.

I put some piles together in a box for a family that I know needed some help this holiday season.

The Hormel family is 1000 of products from different brands including, Chi Chi’s, Skippy Peanut Butter, Spam, and so many more. To see all the products visit Hormel.

Their favorite flavor is fruit punch, they said it tastes the most like juice. Most of their friends are drinking these at school too, so they know there popular.
Aquaball makes a perfect stocking stuffer this holiday season, it’s small and can fit in any stocking plus you can pick up a bottle usually for a little over one dollar.

One of my favorite foods during the winter is Grilled Cheese and soup. They both are hot and ready to keep you warm on those cold nights. Although sometimes grilled cheese just becomes a little plain to me.

I have started spicing it up a bit with different things like Hormel Pepperoni, ham and bacon.

First we tried the pepperoni grilled cheese. It was actually really good. My son kept asking for more.

IMG_2190

IMG_2191

The bacon was good but my son said it made it taste to much like a bacon burger.

Have you tried any toppings with your Grilled Cheese? I suggest it, so good.

IMG_2109

We put the Pepperoni bites in our Salad and my kids love packing them in their lunch boxes or just having them for a snack.

Hormel’s thick pepperoni gives a whole new taste to our home cooked pizza.

My kids loved that the pepperonis stood out on the pizza and were so much fun to peel off once the cheese was melted.
