Holiday Gift Guide: Cabbage Patch Babies

When my daughters were born, their first Christmas each one of them received a Cabbage Patch Doll with their name. Baby McKenzie and Baby Alexandra, They still have and play with them today.

Now that my son is a little older, he started asking for a ” Baby Patch doll” as he calls them. There is nothing wrong with a boy wanting a doll! Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find any Cabbage patch Babies in the past couple years, until this year. I was invited to Jakks Pacific Toy Fair Preview, and saw the Cabbage Patch babies that would be released this year in August.

When the holidays started getting closer, I started looking for the new Cabbage patch Babies and found them at Target. They had a blonde baby boy with blue dressings with the name Star. I waited to long though and they sold out.

I didn’t know that you could buy dolls on Cabbage Patch Dolls on their website.  You can even name the doll yourself for $3 extra.

I received this doll and am so in love with it. I can’t wait to give it to my son for Christmas.

The Cabbage Patch doll is so cute, it comes with a blanket, bottle, pacifier, and birth certificate. Since I could not find one with the name William, I changed the birth certificate when I ordered. So now his baby has his name William Jack.

Great New Books For Christmas GiveawayClosed

My kids absolutely love reading, they ask for all sort of books for Christmas. They also love reading about Christmas. They were so thrilled when we received 2 new books in the mail.

Uh-oh! It’s Christmas Eve and Santa Claus is under the weather! Can Mrs. Claus save Christmas?

***This book is so cute, and very easy to read for the little ones. It’s mainly about Santa Claus having the flu and Mrs. Claus having to come to his rescue and do everything herself, including sending the reindeer off. Although it never mentions anyone being on the sleigh as it takes off. LOL!

It’s Christmas Eve, Have you been good? Santa’s packed up all the presents and is headed your way! With the help of a certain red-nosed reindeer.

***Living in New York, I thought this book was so fun to show the kids. I said maybe this is really the way Santa comes.  This book also references most of the popular tourist attractions in new york. Santa Flies over Times Square, Ny Public Library, Statue Of Liberty, and gets stuck on the Empire State Building, plus more fun attractions.

Holiday Gift Guide: My Little Pony Castle Review

All the excitement of the pony wedding comes alive with this castle playset featuring an elegant staircase, swinging bench, and balcony for the prince and princess, and lots of fun wedding accessories!

*** My daughter is a My Little Pony Fanatic, and as soon as she saw the pony wedding, she was begging for the castle toy.   My daughter was really excited about getting Princess Cadence, and her first boy pony Shining Armor.

The set has a lot of pieces, but is very easy to put together. Only took about 10 minutes. The placing of the stickers is a little tricky as there are so many. The set is beautiful when put together. After a couple times at play when we went to move the castle, it started falling apart. Nothing broke, but it’s a pain having to put it together over and over.

Even after all that it is my daughters favorite toy.

Personal Creations is a website where you can find the best personalized gifts for any occasion. They have Christmas, birthday and anniversary gifts.

I love personalized gifts they make the gift so much more special. I decided to get a few gifts for my kids as well as for myself.  For my kids I bought Personalized character placemats. Disney Cars, Princess and Fairies all personalized with their names.

 

I love these placemats, my kids say they make mea time so much more fun.  They seem a little flimsy, but they seem to be holding up so far.  They are laminated which is great, it makes them easier to clean and wipe down.

I also got my son a personalized t-shirt with his name and Spongebob characters.

This shirt is so much fun.  My son loves Spongebob and to be recognized. Now whenever he wears this shirt and we are out everyone says Hi, William I love your eyes. LOL!  It can also be a little scary though I guess. Either way he loves this shirt.

I also ordered a personalized ornament. My favorite thing about this ornament is it is personalized for my whole family.  I absolutely adore this ornament, my whole family loves it. It is so detailed from every little head with a name to the blanket.

My last name is so long that I could only put my last name instead of The Walleshausers.

*** I would have to say this is the best Tinker Bell movie by far. I loved everything about it. Tinker Bell wanders into the forbidden Winter woods, when her wings light up. She is determined to find out why, she sets of to find The Keeper (of all fairy knowledge) to find out.   When she finds him, she also finds Periwinkle and discovers she is her sister. Thy were both born from the same laugh.

I really don’t want to spoil the rest of the movie, because it is so good. It is a must see for any Tinker Bell lover! My kids love it, as we have already seen it 4 times in the past 2 days. LOL!

Also in the sneak previews they offer a glimpse of the newest Tinker Bell movie set to hit theaters in Spring 2014. I didn’t see a name for it, but by the preview it will be good.  Something happens with the fairies, they all look dazed. when they go to use their powers, they realize they have all switched powers. Tinker Bell is a water fairy, Rosetta an animal fairy etc.   My kids are now eagerly awaiting 2014.

Holiday Gifts for Him from Red Envelope

Yes, it may be a little to early to think about the Holiday season, but it really is not that far away.

I am always stuck on what to get my husband, he is so picky. He is a scientist and loves books, but already has tons of books that he needs to catch up on. So now I am looking for the new thing to get him this year.

 

I decided to go with a coffee gift basket. My husband loves coffee and crackers, it’ll be a great gift. Plus it is something he uses on a day-to-day basis, so it won’t be sitting around.

The Starbucks Recharge and Renew gift basket, comes with 3 different types of coffee, 2 mugs, shortbread fingers, shortbread medallions, and biscotti.  They are all really small packages, and don’t last very long, but are so good.  My husband actually saw was the one to receive the package, so he saw it early and has been using it. He says the coffee is really good, just like going to a Starbucks.

 

Red Envelope has all the perfect gifts for him, and everyone else for the holiday season.
