I just love the kids getting to do a winter concert every year. I just wish Kindergarten could participate.
My kids are so cute:

The video quality is a little bad, and she was right behind the music teacher.
We are on the brink of Christmas. While this year has been totally different from years past, it’s refreshing. My kids don’t believe in Santa anymore, and it gets harder to get them to behave.
I can’t say Santa is watching you anymore. They think that I don’t have the heart to not give them presents. I can’t, I am not that heartless, i’m really not.
So I finally got fed up and packed up all the gifts under the tree and hid them. The kids never even noticed, a hour and a half later when they started fighting I screamed look the presents are gone. Immediately they were in shock. Then there was period of we don’t care.
Now two days later they are trying to behave as much as they can, and clean when told. They really want to earn them back. They actually earned half back last night, but I warned I will take them away again.
The moral I am trying to teach is……
My kids take everything for granted. I want them to know there are children in this world that do not have 1 gift for Christmas and are probably more behaved then they are being.
Our local library always has a section of books for sale, and while yesterday they had tons. As I was going through them looking I found a book that kind of shocked me.
I haven’t looked up this book or anything, but just the title and writing had my attention.
The Little Book Of Suicide: 77 Reasons To Kill Yourself. In Verse.
Suicide really?
Even if this book was trying to make it about poems or a way funny. I still found it disturbing, and in the children’s/teen section no less.
When I opened it to read it, I didn’t honestly know what to think.
Some of the book isn’t so bad I guess, but a couple pages I looked at shocked me.
Have you heard of this book? What are your thoughts?
My kids have made their wish lists for Christmas this year. At the top of their list is of course Monster High, the popular new doll by Mattel. Both my daughters love them, and even my son has taken to playing with his sisters as long as it’s a boy doll. LOL!
The problem is that…… Well you will know if you have a Monster High fan in your house. They are really hard to find (the new ones). If you can’t find them in store, you can find them on Ebay or Amazon for hundreds of dollars over their retail price. It’s just ridiculous.
They are on the hunt for the new Hauntlywood dolls and of course the soon to be released Sloman Slo’ Mo.
It’s only going to get worse as more dolls will be released and become scarce.
It’s been a long weekend, and I have been no where near my blog. Family time is always the best.
We went to a parade in town, while it was freezing cold. The kids loved seeing all the Fire Trucks.
It was so dark, half of my pictures just didn’t turn out right. 🙁
Our favorites were the real Tonka and Hess Firetrucks!
Just wanted to say Thank You to all the veterans out there today on Veterans Day and every day.
I personally want to thank my husband who served with the 3rd ACR for 4 years including two years in Iraq.
He has had to witness things people should never see, fighting for our freedom. We have lost a lot of close personal friends from the war on terror.
As a blogger I love to give back when I can. I can’t donate a lot as I am struggling myself. I do get reviews for my blog that I will turn around and just donate to those in need.
They set up a local box for Toys For Tots at our local Library and we made our first donation.
I hope to fill the box a lot higher before December begins.
Do you give during the holidays?
