I love watching movies with my kids, it’s so exciting watching their faces light up on a good part. If you watch the same movie 50 times it starts to get annoying, so occasionally I’ll go out and rent a movie.

Ragu Recipe challenge

I am not the best cook, in fact I can barely cook. i have a routine and cook the same things every two weeks. I try though, and I make sure that I make healthy foods for my kids. One of my favorite Recipe websites is Ragu, My kids love pasta and will eat anything with Ragu sauce on it. Plus they offer quick easy solutions for dinner like no boil lasagna, and they are inexpensive.

Ragu is teaming up with actress Molly Ringwald to promote the Recipe for a Good Start Contest, asking moms to share their recipes using Ragu that makes your family come running to the table. We usually just have a chart and the kids get a sticker when they complete their assignment.  We started using the point system on My Job Chart, and the kids earn our special rewards for their accomplishments, and they really like it.  They race to get things done now!

Five teams of baking enthusiasts were invited to take part in Kelly’s cake off, where they learned from Kelly and the cake boss, and decorated their own cakes.

Family Dance Off With Primrose Schools

Last Year I was able to visit a Primrose school out here in North Carolina, as part of  a mommy mixer with Mom Select. Primrose Preschools are beautiful and have great staff and organization.

Store Brand formula Vs. Name Brand

When I had my first child, I was so upset that I could not breastfeed. In fact my daughter barely ate the first three days of life, because I was having trouble. The thought of buying 10 cans of formula a month was overbearing. I wanted name brand formula as i thought it was better for baby, but at 15 dollars a can, i couldn’t afford it. Luckily WIC stepped in and helped me.

For those of you who don’t get WIC, i have good news. The store-bought brand is just as healthy as the name brand.  In a lawsuit against Mead Johnson the maker of Enfamil. Found to have falsely claimed that store brand products such as Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club Target, Kroger and Walgreens-were not as good as Enfamil.

All infant formula sold in the U.S must meet the same nutrient requirements. Which means saving money for you. . So you can buy store brand formula and get all the benefits of name brand formula for less of the price. Plus store brand formula usually comes in a bigger can!
