Americas Cutest little tax deduction

Having kids can cost a lot, trust me I learned that after having three. I’m only 25 and really want to save for their college, but don’t see that happening for another 5 or more years.

Turbo tax knows that and thats why they are holding the third annual Cutest little tax deduction contest.  All you have to do is upload a picture of your child to www.cutesttaxdeduction.com. baby’s must be born between December 1 and December 31 to qualify. 10 finalist will be chosen and America will choose who gets $5,000 dollars. That would be great to put away for your childs college fund.

But hurry tomorrow jan. 7  is the last day to submit your childs photo.

Thanks to Momselect for sharing this info with me.

Are you kidding

So all I’ve ever wished for is a trip to Disney world. My family and I have never been.  We don’t want a free trip, but If I am invited alone for free I would go.

I received an invitation to go to the Social Media Moms Disney event. Meet mom bloggers and have fun at Disney, sounds like a dream right. NO, actually it’s not! All these bloggers rant and rave about going to Disney free all the time. Disney mom blogger events etc. We’ll if I want to go to a blogger Disney event I have to pay $350 dollars, plus if I want family to attend $150 extra per person. That is F****in rediculous. I’m poor, I could take my family of 5 on a vacation for $350.

If your going to send me on a blogging trip, it has to be for free. Also we are parents, why have blogging trips on weekdays when we have duties to our children.

Mom Select Holiday Preview Pak

Mom select recently sent me a package of their holiday preview pak.

I received 2 Boz Green Bear Next door DVDs(one includes a toothbrush), Holly and Hal Moose,Holly and Hal book, Temple Touch Thermometer, Coupon for sun laundry detergent, California olive ranch olive oil, playmobil advent calendar.

Holly Moose- is from build a bear workshop, and you can dress her any way you wish. My kids absolutely loved her, shes so cute and cuddly

Hal moose-also from Build a Bear he is Holly sister and only wishes to fly with Santa. his antlers light up like Christmas lights. My kids loved his antlers and how soft he was.

California Olive ranch Olive oil-This high-quality olive oil will come in handy when preparing special holiday dishes. Experience the fresh taste of California Olive Ranch’s award-winning, certified extra virgin olive oil. This is so good, but very fattening with 14g of fat.

Playmobil advent calendar-My daughter was so excited to put this together. There are a lot of very small parts and it is big and bulky. It was destroyed in less than 5 hours. Very fun at first.

Moving picture books on DVD(giveaway)

I recently was able to introduce my children to www.movingpicturbooks.com through Momselect. This is picture books on DVD. see a preview below

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msFZUqKCb20]

***My children really enjoyed this DVD, they were hoping on the bed just like Monkeys, laughing and giggling. My oldest even read along with the DVD, her favorite story was Eight Silly Monkeys. This DVD reads the stories in English and Spanish. That was the one thing my children disliked, they lost interest in the Spanish versions because they don’t know spanish. To get to the next story you have to sit through it.

The three stories featured on this DVD are:

Eight Silly Monkeys-counting fun with eight silly monkeys when  they turn their bed into a playground.

Five Little Piggies-counting down is fun with five little piggies and their friends on a fairy tale adventure.

Hungry Bunny-learn colors, numbers shapes, types of food and more with a very hungry bunny.

Disney World Mom Party

I got to throw a party in honor of moms for Disney World.  Mom Select Sent me a box full of goodys for the party including balloons, goody bags for the kids, information for moms and so much more.

I have to admit that the party was just okay, it’s hard to talk to Moms about a trip to Disney World, when the economy is so bad and a lot of us can’t afford it.

it was fun but a lot of my guests were very camera-shy.

Temple touch thermometer(giveaway)

With three kids under the age of 5, colds get around a lot in my house.  I hate taking my kids temperature, because they never sit still. I switched from a rectal to an ear thermometer, but the problem there is positioning it right.

I was able to review the Temple Touch Thermometer, and i’m so thrilled to finally find something that can ease the stress of taking temperatures. It’s the easiest and most accurate way of taking your childs temperature.

Taking body temperatures has never been easier. Simply touch the thermometer to your child’s temple area and in just seconds, get a clinically accurate result. Totally non invasive and gentle so it can be used even on the fussiest child.

Exclusive R.A.T.E. Technology measures the heat radiating from the body and produces a clinically accurate measurement of the core body temperature. Unlike other forehead type thermometers, the Temple Touch is not affected by local ambient conditions. You get an accurate reading every time.

plus the Temple Touch also has these features:

  • Fever Alert; The display light up red to indicate a fever reading, green if it is normal.
  • Overdose Protection Timer; Shows time since the last medication dose so you if its safe to give another dose.
  • Large Back Lighted Display; Easy reading even in darkened room.
  • Fast; Results in 6 seconds.
  • Room Temperature Display; Shows the temperature of the room.
  • F° or C° Display.
  • Underarm mode; Can alternately be used as an underarm thermometer.

***I love this thermometer, it’s very simple to use, and the best is I can use it while my little one are sleeping. With Flu season on the horizon, i’m glad I have this handy. I know there are going to be long nights with crying sick toddlers.

Just for you:

I have one Temple Touch Thermometer  to give away

just leave me a comment telling me how you take your childs temperature?

United Healthcare Student Resources

I was given the opportunity to Write about this campaign with Momselect and UnitedHealthcare StudentResources, www.K12StudentInsurance.com, a division of UnitedHealthcare Insurance Company, who has been dedicated to student insurance programs for over 40 years.  Because UHCSR focuses on students, they have a better understanding of the unique needs of this age group (children 5-18 years old).

If your student does not have health coverage, or your paying too much, this is a great opportunity for you.

Some Great information you need to know about United Healthcare Student Resources:

The plan offers coverage for when your sick or injured anytime. 24/7 all year long.

The United Healthcare Student Resources program is only available through many participating school districts and participating private schools. Nationally available through schools that belong to the Association of Christian  Schools International.

It is available for students K-12 grade and ages 5-18(ages 4-18 in Texas)

The healthcare is designed to be affordable at only $588 a year, or $98 every two months. Plus you can enroll your student at any time during the School Year.

I’m really excited to hear abut this great plan, with the economy being bad, and tons of people without  insurance, this is a great way to get students the health coverage, shots they need for school.

Right now my daughter is barely starting preschool, but if this offer is still available in the future i would love to get my children enrolled. Finally

Thanks to mom select and United Healthcare for this opportunity. I am being compensated for this post.
