Winnie The Pooh Movie Review

We had the chance to go see a screening of Winnie The Pooh last weekend.

Inspired by three stories from A.A. Milne’s books in Disney’s classic, hand-drawn art style, Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Winnie the Pooh” reunites audiences with the honey-loving, philosophical bear and friends Tigger, Rabbit, Piglet, Owl, Kanga, Roo and Eeyore in a wild quest to save Christopher Robin from an imaginary culprit.

**The movie definitely stuck to its original form. None of My Friends Tigger and Pooh, I never really got into the show. Christopher Robin is back and everyone thinks he has been abducted by a creature and go to look for him, He really is just away somewhere. They all set out on a journey and try to trap this monster by bringing household items they think attract him. The movie I would say is for the younger kids, around ages 1-7. My kids loved the movie, and they never really watched Winnie the Pooh. What my husband and I loved about the movie was that they actually had the characters walk along the letters of the book, as they were telling the story.

Have A Laugh Volumes 3 & 4 Review

Set sail for the high seas of hilarity when Mickey, Goofy and Donald go a-whaling and wind up going overboard – literally! Bark with laughter as Pluto is dogged by a pesky gopher who’s making mincemeat of Minnie’s garden. Then, have a ball with Goofy as he hits the links and – BLAM! – his “relaxing” game of golf goes outrageously awryFully restored and remastered, these amazing cartoons also feature a new “Re- MICKS” – a mash-up music video of crazy cartoon clips remixed to the hit song, “I Gotta Feeling” from the Black Eyed Peas. It’s a novel approach to uproarious classic comedy that’ll make you laugh out loud

Have an outrageously g’day with Mickey and Pluto when their adventure Down Under goes way over the top, thanks to a wayward boomerang and a humongous ostrich. Kick up your heels with Donald as his fireside hula dance “heats up” hilariously. Then, ride a tide of laughs with Goofy as he tries to catch a wave and – BLAM! – gets clobbered by his surfboard.
Fully restored and re-mastered, these incredible cartoons also feature a new “Re- MICKS” – a mash-up music video of crazy cartoon clips remixed to the hit song “Play My Music” from Camp Rock. It’s a bold, new approach to classic comedy that’ll make your spirits soar.

**** These shorts are so funny, they always keep my kids laughing. Donald using rubber cement to make pancakes is hilarious, but our absolute favorite shorts……. are Pluto being badgered by a gopher! These movies are sure to keep your kids happy and laughing all day.

The Closer: The Complete 6th Season Bonus Features

Moving up? The LAPD is looking for a new chief and Will Pope thinks he has the inside track. He soon has an unexpected rival for the job: Brenda. And Brenda has an unexpected ally helping groom her for the selection process: Capt. Raydor. The contest for chief is only one of the ingenious, suspenseful, often funny storylines that makes Season Six of The Closer stellar entertainment. Join the squad as Sanchez looks after an orphaned boy, Tao goes undercover as a biker dude, Provenza and Flynn date airline attendants (turns out one of them has a corpse in her bathtub) and Brenda finds her family Christmas rudely interrupted by crime.

Bonus Features:

  • Police Files/Unaired Scenes
  • Script To Screen Making Episode 3, In Custody
  • Kyra Sedgwick Opens Up About The Closer
  • Gag Reel

I really liked Kyra Sedgwick opening up about The Closer.  It’s really interesting to hear her perspective on the show, and how she didn’t know how successful it would be.  It always boggles my mind to really know what actors/actress think.  The making of Episode 3 In Custody was fun to watch, because that is such a great episode.

Victorious Season 1 on DVD

My children and I have a new favorite show on Nickelodeon, it’s Victorious. The first season will be available on DVD July 5, 2011 at all major retailers.

Tori Vega and the students at Hollywood Arts High School are ready to showcase their talents in their first DVD, Victorious: Season One, Volume One.  The brand-new two-disc set includes the first ten episodes of the series, with an extended version of the pilot, special features and guest appearances by Jerry Trainer (iCarly) and celebrity blogger Jared Eng (JustJared.com).  Make it shine with Nickelodeon’s latest hit series from the very beginning!

Episodes:

  • Pilot (extended version)
  • The Bird Scene
  • Stage Fighting
  • Beck’s Big Break
  • Tori The Zombie
  • Disc 2
  • Jade Dumps Beck
  • The Birthweek Song
  • Robarazzi
  • A Film By Dale Squires
  • Rex Dies

Bonus Features:

  • Meet Tori Vega
  • Meet the Cast
  • Freak the Freak Out (Music Video)
  • Beggin on your Knees (music Video)

***  My kids and I love Victorious, it’s actually become one of our favorites over iCarly.  There is always drama and fun on the show which I think makes it good for kids. They can learn from certain situation portrayed in the show on handling those situations in school. One of our favorite episodes from season 1 is The Birthweek Song, Tori performs this beautiful song for her sister Trina. Trina is only interested in material things though and sells the song for cash to buy a hat. When she is to perform she sounds horrible and has to get Tori to make it right.   All the episodes are funny, Robarazzi makes fun of TMZ with Robs own little gossip show, but it turns into revenge.     Oh and the bonus features have 2 music videos that are great. My kids love the song Freak the Freak Out and Beggin on your Knees.
