On The Run For Breakfast, Grab A Hormel Completes #HormelFamily

We are on the run constantly, with 3 kids and a husband in grad school I rarely get to sit down for breakfast with my kids. When the kids are eating breakfast I am making lunches and packing backpacks.
Hormel Completes offers breakfast wherever you are, all you need is a microwave. Most offices and workplaces have them, so you can have breakfast before your shift. Hormel Completes come in 4 varieties:

Sausage breakfast scramble

I love the Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal, because it is sweet and very simple. I can pack it for my husband to eat when he gets to the lab, or I can sneak it in when I get to the office after taking the kids to school.

I was sent a individual size muscle milk cookies and cream flavor. I have never tried them and was a bit skeptical. It is actually very tasty. Very similar to a milk shake with a bit more of a chocolate/carmel flavoring. I let my kids try it and they even loved it.

SunRidge Farms Healthy Snacks

I was recently able to try SunRidge Farms Organic and Natural snacks.

SunRidge Farms products are manufactured in Royal Oaks, CA. and the distribution facility is powered by 2500 solar panels, eliminating 1,315,000 pounds of CO² annually (equivalent to planting 1800 acres of trees).  SunRidge Farms has worked diligently over the past 30 years to become a Certified Green Business by the Monterey County Green Business Program.

I love how this company is doing everything right to help the environment and the snacks are so delicious.  The varieties are……

The trail mixes I have been packing in my husbands lunch he loves them. The Sunny Organic bears are similar to gummy bears, but come with sugar on them and are so so good. They are my fav.   The dried cranberries are the perfect take along for lunch as I love putting them on my salads, it makes the perfect topping.

Today is National Peanut Day

Today is National Peanut Day. It’s a special day for everyone who loves peanuts and peanut butter to break out the celery and Skippy’s singles for one good snack.

My kids love peanut butter, but can’t have it at school due to other children’s allergies. When they get home they are aways asking for a snack before homework. I give them a few choices and one of them is celery or carrots with a single peanut butter cup. Or if they didn’t get to finish their lunch a PB and J sandwich with Chocolate Peanut Butter.

The funny thing is this is a healthy snack but my kids will only eat the celery and carrots, if they have the peanut butter. They will never eat them plain or cooked or anything else.

Big Fish Games announces Gummy Drop And A Contest Announcement

My kids love to unwind before bed and play games, but lately have been finding a lot of games difficult to get through the levels. We just downloaded Gummy Drop and my 6 year old is already o level 7. He is loving this game and finding it so easy to play, he won’t even let me help him.

My kids have really been getting into electronics lately. They love going on the internet and finding apps to play. I don’t like them getting to caught up with it though. The internet can be a dangerous place for a kid.

The two features that I would say are my absolute favorite on the InnoTab 3 Plus, the rechargeable battery pack and the camera lens.   We go through batteries like crazy with our kid friendly electronics and it gets really expensive, so not having to worry about replacing batteries all the time is a plus. The camera lens lets you take pictures as a camera. Pictures or videos from a direct angle, or you can change the lens to face you for a selfie.

Some units do not come with the rechargeable power pack, and is sold separately.

    iHop is rolling out new food every couple weeks. This time I got to try out the new World Scrambles. a satisfying choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner, is made to order and perfectly paired with golden hash browns and your choice of a warm flour tortilla, toast, or two of IHOP restaurant’s classic buttermilk pancakes.

    I do not really like eggs. I have to add cheese, ham and other foods to them, before I can actually eat them. The new World Scrambles are so delicious, as there is so much flavor added to the eggs.

    New World Scrambles varieties include:

    • All American Bacon Scramble-Fluffy scrambled eggs topped with diced fresh tomatoes, crispy hickory-smoked bacon and shaved white cheddar cheese.
    • Tuscan Scramble– Eggs scrambled with sweet basil, roasted red peppers, finished with shaved Parmesan cheese, diced tomatoes, and topped with delicious fresh spinach.
    • Californian Scramble– Jack & cheddar cheeses melted into fluffy scrambled eggs topped with our salsa & fresh avocado.

    I had the Californian Scramble and I couldn’t believe how good it was.   Cheese melted into the eggs and covered with  salsa. I was really surprised at how much salsa was on top of the eggs, but it gave it just the right flavor. It also was topped with Avocado, but I asked for it on the side.

    Epson iLabel App makes Back To School Easy

    I can’t believe the kids are heading back to school in under 2 weeks. We are excited and getting prepared. We have all our supplies bought and separated by child. All we need to do is label the items with their names. My kids like to keep track of their stuff, as things get misplaced and borrowed, having their name on it helps to make sure it is returned.

    The Epson LW-600P is the first app-enabled label printer on the market,offering unmatched capabilities in the world of label creation.

    Downloading the Epson iLabel App is free and you just turn on your bluetooth and connect the printer to your iPad.

    You simply type what you want the label to say and you can ad emoticons or symbols to add effects. Then just peel the back and stick. We used the to label the kids school supplies. My daughter is in 4th and needs tons of stuff including colored binders. The labels were perfect.
    It can be a little tricky trying to peel off the back to get to the sticker, but if you have nails or key it helps loosen it.

    We also received the Epson Iron On Label Kit. This was a bit different from the LW600P. It is a regular label printer with a small keyboard. you type what you want print and cut. Then iron on clothing and other products.
    We used them to iron on the inside of their backpacks, for back to school.

    It seemed a little difficult to iron on some things but it all worked out in the end. I have happy kids who are ready to show off their new gear without the worry of it getting lost or stolen.

    The labels have made things so much easier in my house with organization and labeling the kids items.
