PopCorn Factory Makes Back To School Fun

School is just getting back in session in a few states. Here in Connecticut the kids are already on their fourth day of school, and my husband starting a new job. I wasn’t sure if they would come home in a good mood or bad mood, since everything is so new. I decided I would set up some snacks for them when they walked in from their first day.

The Popcorn Factory sent us a University Snacks Stash to review, and it was perfect for the first day blues.

The University Snacks Stash contains:
Buffalo ranch popcorn
Sour green apple popcorn

It was the perfect snack for the first day blues. The favorite was the candy apple popcorn, they said it tasted just like one of their favorite candies. My favorite was the gummy stars, they were very sweet and good.

Shopkins Swap Event In NYC

I was able to attend a Shopkins Swap media preview today in NYC with lots of other Vloggers, Bloggers and media. The event was a preview leading up to tomorrows Big Swapkins event at Toys R Us locations in the U.S.

They had so many new items on display for the upcoming season. Like new Mega blocks sets!

Now on to the swapping each Toys R Us will have tables set up and coloring sheets and fun activities. Each attendee will receive a Shopkins poster with the entire collection of Shopkins printed on the back from Seasons 1, 2 and 3.

Swapping was so much fun and we got a few Shopkins we didn’t have already. but the main part was just helping others out and having fun.

My daughter had so much fun swapping with others.

At the event we were also introduced to a Exclusive NY Event Apple Blossom Shopkin. Kind of like a Limited Edition, since there are only 800 made.

We love Science in my house, my husband has a PHD in Molecular Biology and talks to my kids about everything having to do with science, and they love it.

My daughter was super excited to get ready for back to school with these fun Science Journals from Julie Huffman.

NErD Journal

Periodic Thoughts

Everyone loves to talk Science, and sometimes you just need little refresher or way to break the ice. These fun postcards are filled with Scientific facts, quotes and laws. Each card is designed using different letters from the Periodic Table of elements.

**My daughter absolutely love these books, she has started keeping track of all her experiments, and scientific ideas in the journal. She spent hours going through the Periodic Thoughts and reading everything. It’s been one of her favorites she reads over and over.

I can’t believe it’s time to get ready for school. It seems like the kids just got out, but what better way to send them back to school with Shopkins.

Shopkins is the hottest toy and the market right now, and they just unveiled a fun need line for bad to school including backpacks, lunch boxes, pencils, pens, erasers and so much more.

Since my kids are older they were only interested in certain items like the pencils, and erasers. They are so cute and will have everyone having so much fun in the classroom.

How cute are these? My daughters have already packed them away in their backpack for school in a few weeks. They don’t even want to use the erasers as they are afraid to ruin the cute designs.

Lloyds Flame Seared Babyback Ribs Review #HormelFamily

Lloyds has a new line of ribs to add to their product line. Flame seared baby back ribs are the perfect choice for Summer BBQs. Unlike Lloyds regular ribs, the flame seared are more juicy and a bit spicy.

The flame-seared dry rub pork ribs use the finest quality cuts of meat. Enjoy the slow-simmered taste and open-fire flavor alongside green beans, corn on the cob or macaroni and cheese.

** These ribs were a little bit spicy but were oh so good. Match them up with a nice salad, corn on the cob and you have the perfect summer meal. Lloyds ribs are fully cooked already, so just follow the directions to heat up on the grill.

Disney’s Descendants Now on DVD

Disney’s Descendants is the untold story of Disney classic characters who are eagerly preparing for the face off between their villainous offspring who must choose between following in their parents’ footsteps to help all the villains regain power or embrace their innate goodness to save the kingdom.

My kids couldn’t wait to see this movie. They said it was definitely worth the wait. The movie is all about the children of Disney villains and fairytale characters. The villains including Mal (daughter of Maleficent), Jay (Son of Jafar), Carlos (son of Cruela De Ville), and Evie (daughter of the evil queen) as they are invited to join the sons and daughters of fairytale characters after their parents were banished to the Isle of the lost.

Their mission is to try and steal Fair Godmothers wand to rule, but they all seem to enjoy the benefits of being in Aurodon. They have a evil moment but ultimately decided they want to stay and be good.

My kids love this movie and the music. they can’t stop watching it.

Kids By Safilo Makes wearing Glasses Stylish

I was invited to the Safilo studio to preview their new line of glasses for kids ages 0-8. I had never even heard of Safilo, but my son wears glasses and we go through so much trouble with them I wanted to learn more.

This event was so important to me, because I am one of those parents that never noticed the signs. My son was in first grade and started complaining about having to walk up to the board in school to see, I just thought that he was back to far. Then I got a call from the nurse, he failed his eye exam. I took him to get a eye exam, and felt so bad. His vision is horrible including a high astigmatism, Far sighted in one eye, near in the other.

He received his glasses and the first thing he said was “The world seems so big”

It’s absolutely important to get your child a vision exam, even if you don’t think anything is wrong.

Best BBQ Beef Around #HormelFamily

We lived in the south for 4 1/2 years and came to love the taste of slow cooked BBQ beef, no one can make it the way they can in the south. Unfortunately for me I don’t even have the patience to try. It’s a lot of time, even though the slow cooker does most of the work. So I have found the best BBQ beef around and its right in the grocery store.

Luckily for me their is Lloyd’s BBQ Beef available and ready anytime. All you have to do is heat it up in the microwave. It has cme one of my easy go to meals for dinner or lunch and my kids love it.

This has become one of our favorite past time meals. The best BBQ places are so far away and making it myself is so time consuming and not to mention all the ingredients are a bit expensive.
