When In Rome DVD Review

An ambitious young New Yorker , disillusioned with romance, takes a whirlwind trip to Rome where she defiantly plucks magic coins from a fountain of love, inexplicably igniting the passion of those who threw them in: a sausage magnate, a street magician , an adoring painter  and a self-admiring model . But when a charming reporter  pursues her with equal zest, how will she know if his love is the real thing?

****This movie is so funny, but kind of sappy. I just wish when I was younger that was true, when you pull a coin from a wishing well or fountain, and someone falls in love with you.  I think this movie is perfect for hopeless romantics.   A young girl to busy with work says she doesn’t have time fo men.  She heads to Rome for her sister’s wedding, where she meets a handsome reporter. They dance together and she gets all flushed, thinking she may have found someone, but after the wedding she catches him kissing another girl. She gets drunk a fountain and goes to a fountain of love, where she starts pulling coins out. Suddenly all these guys fall for her, but she is still falling for the reporter.

debate

I am moving to Huntington NY in a few days. That means I will be 1 hour away from Blogher, so I wouldn’t have to worry about a hotel or anything. I do not have a ticket to go, but was offered one to buy.

The problem is to me I’m just not really sure if it’s all that worth it to me. I haven’t met any bloggers yet, and I do not feel like watching people fight over swag. I would not be able to attend any parties, because they are so late at night.

What are your thoughts, is it really worth it to go?

Backyard Safari Outfitters Line Review

Just in time for summer we received some fun outdoor gear from Team Mom. We received a Safari Field Cargo Vest, Bug Vaccuum, and periscope.

It’s rugged, and tough enough for all your outdoor adventures. Plenty of cargo pockets means lots of space to load up. Six D-Rings and two shoulder epaulets let you clip and hang more essential gear. A large zipper pocket stores your trusty binocs and a clear-view chest pocket stores your Pop-Up Field Guides. The back of the vest features a one-size-fits-all adjustable strap and two extra mesh pockets for storing extra gear.

*** This vest is so cute and fun. It has a lot of little pockets for your little explorer to go bug hunting. My daughter loves this vest and wants to be just life Dora and Diego with her vest.

There are THOUSANDS of crawling, flying, buzzing bugs in your backyard – catch them LIVE with your Bug Vac! Look at bugs UP-CLOSE with built-in magnifying Glass! CAPTURE CORE attaches to the Bug Habitat  for easy transfer of your insects.

****I really liked this myself, easier for me to suck up the spiders that sneak in my house rather than have to kill them with a napkin. I actually caught a Praying Mantis in the bug vaccuum, that was exciting for my kids as they have never seen one.

Land and water mega view periscope

This full-view periscope allows stealth viewing over boulders, high bushes, backyard fences, and around corners. Three rugged, light-weight sections telescope for a reach over 4 feet high to let you see all those out-of-reach views.

*** my kids really enjoyed these toys. The periscope is so much fun for scoping out bugs, you can even flip it over and put it in water to look for sea creatures.

Retail:$64.97 for all three toys at http://www.summittoysshop.com/

Ice Coffee and tea K Cups Review

Just in time for summer weather, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc  introduces K-Cup packs that create iced coffee or iced tea.   The Brew Over Ice K-Cups are specifically designed to brew directly over ice with a Keurig single cup brewer. The new K-Cups are packed with more coffee and tea, the right amount to make the perfect cool brew.

Green Mountain Coffee new flavors are Nantucket Blend, and French Vanilla . Celestial Seasoning teas are introducing two new flavors of iced tea  Half and Half (part black tea, part lemonade), and Southern Sweet tea. These join the 4 ice tea flavor already on the market Sweet Lemon Black Tea, Sweet Peach Black Tea, Sweet Raspberry Black Tea, and Black Tea Unsweetened.

****I am not a fan of tea at all, but I think there half and half tea is good. These are the perfect drinks for summer, specially now that it is reaching 90 and above degrees. I’m not a big fan of the ice coffee, but only because I am more of a hot chocolate person.

Retail:$13.95 per box.

Fathers Day Gift Guide: Fathers Day Off With Red Wine

This Fathers Day give dad what he wants, a day off relaxing with red wine.

Description:Dad’s Day Off Wine is a great way to help Dad enjoy any “Day Off”. This wine is a tasty red wine that is well balanced, has delicious it flavors and a long finish. It is vinified using some of the finest grapes from Italy.

****I have to be honest so I’ll admit I have never drank more than a wine cooler ever. So it is only fair that I share my husbands opinion on this wine too.  For me all I tasted was strong alcohol and it burned my chest. It didn’t really taste fruity or anything just alcohol.

My husband on the other hand enjoyed this and said it was very mild for being made in 2007. It is a great way to just sit back and relax. He laughed at me the whole time for being a lightweight.  If you enjoy wine this would be a great gift for dad!
