Start your Day Off With A Healthy Breakfast

I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t eat breakfast, well not every day at least.  Being a mom of three I just don’t really have the time. I do make sure my kids eat a good breakfast. Mainly cereal with fruits.

General Mills wants you to know the importance of breakfast, especially in children. ready-to-eat cereal eaters consume less fat, less cholesterol and more fiber than non-cereal eaters?  Cereals also deliver important vitamins, minerals and other important nutrients.

Cereal is a Great and easy way bring the family together at the table for breakfast. A study in 1998 showed that kids who ate breakfast did better in school, better on tests, fewer disciplinary problems, and are more likely to attend class on time. Compared to kids who skipped breakfast.

General Mills sent me 4 coupons to try their Cereals. We tried out Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cookie Crisp, Trix Swirl, and Fruity Cheerios. My kids loved them, they are tasty, enjoyable and still healthy. With less sugars, calcium and vitamin D, it’s a great way to enjoy breakfast. Plus my kids are so happy, they don’t have to eat just plan cereal anymore.

My Resolutions for 2010

I am not going to make blog resolutions,because my blog is my past time. My life and family are more important. So I am going to share my personal resolution.

Every year we plan and it never happens, so i am going to try to get my family to Disney World.(yes i know about the volunteer thing, thats not going to help with the money still).

I am sure this is on every ones list.

I would like to go on a blog trip this year.

Thats it, I tend to never keep them though, Thats the problem.

****I’m not really a big fan of Barney and never have been. I caught my kids watching it the other day when I came home, and I was surprised at how much they enjoyed watching it. This DVD features some great lessons on manners caring and sharing. I love how they talk about Manners. My kids are learning from this as they have been a bit selfish lately. This is a great movie for preschoolers.

I fought with my husband for 2 years over the computer, finally just a few months ago my grandmother(85) was so generous to by my a Dell laptop. No more fighting to blog. Yeah right, like that would happen. My husband is a college student and a laptop is now required in some classes.   So i have been giving up my laptop for him. We could buy him his own, but we have 3 kids and no job, so that won’t happen.

I am hoping to win a Hp mini110 by studio Tord Boontje, to help simplify my life. No more fighting with hubby over the computer. Plus I am a mother of three, all under the age of 5 years.  I always put my children over blogging, tweeting, anything having to do with the computer. One of the reasons a laptop came in handy, i can follow my kids around with my computer. the bad side is my computer is big and very heavy. Having a HP mini would make my everyday life so much simpler.

Ideas for Projects and More with Fed Ex Office

There is a lot going on with the holidays, but I still tend to get bored from time to time. I have a stack of holiday photos i just took, that need to be placed in albums/scrapbooks, plus getting started on thank you notes. Mom Central let me know about a great new blog, started by Fed Ex. The FedEx Out Of Office Blog features great ideas and tips for invitations, rainy day activities, turning your childs art into a notebook or card, plus more.  The blog is adding new features every month. In december they are featuring great Christmas ideas and planning party tips. Future content will have videos, guest bloggers, giveaways, so check it out often.

This site is really cool, they have some wonderful tips. I’m working on turning my childs art projects into cards and more. Since my daughter started preschool, i have been swarming in pictures. So this is a great way to make thank you cards and let everyone know how she is doing in  school. Plus another great idea is to laminate all the art projects and make them into a book. Keepsakes kind of to look back on as sh grows.

The Dog Who Saved Christmas Review

****This movie was kind of predictable. It’s a cute movie, and my children really enjoyed it. I thought it was a lot like Home Alone, just with a dog instead of a child. Family goes away, burglars plan to strike, dog saves the day. The big difference in this movie though is no one thought the dog was a good guard dog.
