Relating to the new show The Middle

Have you seen “The Middle” yet on ABC. Frankie dresses up as a super hero for her sons classroom, but shows up on the wrong day.

The only thing I can think of that I’ve done thats ridiculous for my daughter at school is just be over supportive.  I always want to be involved in everything, and I am the first mom to turn papers, money etc. in.  Now there are times where my child has embarrassed me. Just like another scene from the first episode of the middle. Brick lies to his mom about what day to be there.  My DD will tell me something, and i’ll confront the teacher, only for her to tell the teacher it wasn’t true.

does this look like your family?

Holiday Gift Guide: Guitar Strings Bracelet from Wear Your Music

silver%20197x178

Wear Your Music®is a company whose philosophy centers round our love for music and our desire to contribute to more than our own pocketbooks. We make Rock’n’Roll jewelry that ROCKS!

Hannah Garrison began crafting bracelets made from used guitar strings for musician friends and their families. Steve Bernstein was trying to find a unique way for guitar strings to garner advertising attention. He posted an ad on Craigslist that read: “Do you have any ideas for interesting products made with guitar strings?” Hannah contacted Steve and the Artist Bracelets were born.

The idea, embraced by numerous media outlets including In Style, and People Magazines, Treehugger.com, allaccess.com, and VH1.com, has grown to include participation by over 150 artists such as The Rolling Stones’ Keith Richards, guitar legend Les Paul and heartthrob John Mayer. The overwhelming response inspired WYM to begin offering a line of lower priced bracelets as well as charms, necklaces and an expanding Rock’n’Roll jewelry line.

****This is a great way to recycle guitar strings. My husband plays guitar and I hate seeing the old guitar strings in the trash or lying around. Plus if you choose to get Guitar strings from an artist it shows great support for them.I love this idea and the Bracelet is so cute. My only complaint is that it doesn’t have a clasp to secure the bracelet. So it’s easier to lose it.

Retail: $9.99 if you want a bracelet from an actual artist $100.00

Ice Age 3 Dawn of The Dinosaurs

Get ready, for the dawn of a new age!  Manny, Sid, Diego and Ellie are back for more pre-hysterical hijinks when Ice Age: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs stomps onto Three-Disc Blu-ray Disc/DVD Combo Pack October 27 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.  The third film in the outrageously popular Ice Age franchise, the sub-zero heroes return another wild and fun adventure.  Scrat is still trying to nab the ever-elusive nut (while maybe finding true love); Manny and Ellie await the birth of their mini-mammoth; Diego the saber-toothed tiger wonders if he’s growing too “soft” hanging with his pals and Sid the sloth gets into trouble when he creates his own makeshift family by hijacking some dinosaur eggs.  On a mission to rescue the hapless Sid, the gang ventures into a mysterious underground world, where they have some close encounters with dinosaurs, battle flora and fauna, run amuck, and meet a relentless, one-eyed dino-hunting weasel named Buck.  The coolest animated comedy of the year, Ice Age:  Dawn Of The Dinosaurs features hilarious performances from Ice Age veterans Ray Romano (“Everybody Loves Raymond”), John Leguizamo (The Happening), Denis Leary (“Rescue Me”), Queen Latifah (The Secret Life of Bees), Seann William Scott (Planet 51) and Josh Peck (“Drake & Josh”), along with newcomers Bill Hader (Forgetting Sarah Marshall), Kristen Wiig (“Saturday Night Live”), Jane Lynch (“Glee”) and Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead).

The Ice Age: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs “Scrat Pack” Double DVD Pack, a great value for moms and fun for kids, will also be available for a limited time only featuring an overload of special features focusing on the determined squirrel including three “Scrat” games exclusive to the disc.

*** This movie is hilarious, we are big fans of the first two and this one is right up there with them. My favorite part is when there in the green cave, and they are acting goofy and laughing like crazy.  My kids loved seeing the T-rex, plus all there favorite characters.  My kids just think it’s so funny how Scrat can never catch a break, with his nuts.  The Scrat DVD also includes a music video and games.
