Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will be released on Tuesday October 6 on Blu ray +DVD combo pack, I love Disney movies, and Snow White is among one of my favorites.

I learned some really interesting facts about the movie like…

Baldy, Stubby and Biggo-Ego were once considered as names for the Dwarfs or that six of them have eyebrows fashioned after Walt Disney’s very own expressive eyebrows.

World Animal Day with National Geographic

National Geographic Kids Entertainment is partnering with 5 U.S. and Canadian zoos for the 2nd North American World Animal Day promotion which aims to introduce kids to the natural world, utilizing animal content from National Geographic Kids magazine and popular characters from two of NGKE’s animated preschool properties, “Mama Mirabelle’s Home Movies” and “Toot & Puddle.”

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Movies for Mommies/Toons for Toddlers, Zoo Pals and Sandylion Stickers are marketing partners for this year’s events.

The promotion, geared toward children ages 2-12 and their caregivers, will take place throughout October and will be directed toward World Animal Day on Sunday, Oct. 4. Events will include: a hands-on workshop with National Geographic photographers (select cities); animal encounters; arts and crafts; book readings; special screenings of “Mama Mirabelle’s Home Movies” and “Toot & Puddle”; a parade and a cupcake ceremony.

Participating zoos are:
   Oct. 3: Roger Williams Park Zoo (Providence, R.I.), with photographer
   Darlyne Murawski
   Oct. 3: Valley Zoo (Edmonton, Alberta), with photographer Ian Nichols

***My children love Care Bears, although we can never find it on CBS Saturday mornings.  It’s great getting to see fresh new episodes and i love that it teaches about caring sharing and so much more.  The little toy that comes with the DVD is so cute, but very cheap. it was ripped up in 5 minutes.

Yo Gabba Gabba live on tour

My kids are a big fan of YO GABBA GABBA, and watch it all the time on nick jr. and noggin.  I’m not really sure what to think of the show.  I do love that it has some learning qualitys. They are just another show making it’s way to the stage.

W!LDBRAIN, the award-winning animation and entertainment company and S2BN Entertainment are proud to announce the launch of YO GABBA GABBA! LIVE:  THERE’S A PARTY IN MY CITY, the first live U.S. touring show for the hit children’s program Yo Gabba Gabba!.  The show will feature DJ Lance Rock, and everyone’s favorite cast of characters– Brobee (the little green one), Foofa (the pink flower bubble), Muno (the red Cyclops), Plex (the magic robot), and Toodee (the blue cat-dragon) as well as lots of surprise guests.  The tour comes on the heels of the first YO GABBA GABBA! CD release YO GABBA GABBA! Music is awesome, hitting the shelves nationwide on October 20.

 

The tour will kick off in Los Angeles on Saturday, November 14, at the Shrine Expo Hall. Yo Gabba Gabba! Live: There’s a Party in My City will also appear at the Beacon Theatre in New York City on Saturday, November 21, and the Rosemont Theatre outside of Chicago on Saturday, December 5.  There will be two shows in each city — in LA and Chicago they will be held at 11 AM and 3 PM and in NY 11 AM and 2PM.

October is breast cancer awareness month, and it’s very important to me. Having both my grandmothers survive breast cancer, I have routine check ups, since I am more apt to have it.

I admit, i give in at times and just give my kids something unhealthy. I want them to eat healthy, but at times there is no time to make healthy snacks, or i’m just to tired. I have found some interesting healthy recipes to help ease the pain.

Yogurt and sliced fruit:

4 cups strawberry-banana yogurt                                                             

1 cup of granola

1 banana sliced

4 strawberries sliced

Top yogurt with granola,bananas and strawberries.

Is this my personnal recipe? No, I am not a good cook at all.
