Every Vacuum I have owned only lasts a few years, and even then I feel like it was never really that powerful. There is a lot of dust and dirt in my house that needs to get vacuumed up. I have 3 kids that run in and out and a rug that sheds a bit.
We only have carpet in the living room and stairs, so I always buy a vacuum that will work on hardwood floors as well as carpet.
I vacuum every other day, I have to I just can’t stand seeing little things on the carpet.
I receive the Shark Rocket Ultra Light Upright Vacuum W/ Accessories.
Some of the features are:
I have never owned a vacuum that works as well as this does I am so impressed, and there are so many uses for it. We can vacuum the carpets and bare floors, get cobwebs in high ceilings, and it’s so easy to get hard to reach corners. I would have to say the only downside is that when you go to dump the canister, you have to bring the whole cord with you. I didn’t realize that until after I wrapped the cord around.
My 6 year old has become attached to this vacuum, he loves it and asks everyday to vacuum. He steal it from me every time I try.
You can get The Shark Ultralight at a retailer near you for $199.99

Disclosure: I was invited to a screening in my local area to see the movie. No compensation was provided other than free tickets.
I was a little skeptical about this movie just hearing about it because honestly I’ve never really been a fan of Angelina Jolie and the movie just did not sound interesting to me. Another take on a Disney Fairytale is all I thought.
My kids really wanted to see it and since it was my daughters birthday I thought okay we will go. I rarely do this but I will admit I was wrong. The movie was totally AMAZING!!!!! Angelina Jolie was the perfect person for the part.
In the beginning you see the magical wonders of the Moore where Maleficent lives with all the fairy tale creatures. She soon meets a human boy Stephen and becomes smitten. They keep meeting, but he starts to become greedy. The king also hears about Maleficent’s power and starts a attack to destroy her, so he will be the only one powerful.
He fails and falls ill, he announces his successor will be the one who defeats Maleficent. He comes back and pretends to be in love with Maleficent, but one night while she is asleep, he tries to kill her but can’t so cuts off her wings instead.
Fast forward to him being king and announcing the birth of his daughter.
From there it is much like the fairy tale sleeping beauty. She curses the baby and the 3 fairies hide in the woods until she is almost 16 and she escapes, pricks her finger and falls into a deep sleep.
She does awaken by true loves kiss but it’s not what you think. I am going to stop there and if you want to know the rest you will have to see the movie.
Like all Disney movies it all works out in the end!!
I will say there are a lot of parts with fighting and a bit of dark magic, but it’s all in good taste. So some kids under 5 may be scared. My kids 6, 8, and 9 all loved it.
Disney’s Maleficent flys into theaters this friday May 30, 2014.
Today is Memorial day and while most people are out having barbecues and hitting the beach, we are at home thinking of the good friends we lost in iraq.
Yes, my husband was in the army for 4 1/2 years, and served 2 tours in iraq.
Pictures of my husband in Iraq.
I sincerely thank my husband for his service and sacrifice, but today my family is thinking of those that were lost.
In july 2005, on the second tour to Iraq, my husband’s unit lost 4 really good guys including my husbands best friend.
SGT. MIlton Monzon JR., Staff SGT. Jason Montefering, Army SPC. Ernest Dallas JR.
PFC. Ramon Villatoro JR.
All 4 of these guys died July 24, 2005 in Iraq by a IED, they were all in the same vehicle.
Rest in peace, we are thinking of you this Memorial day.
We are thinking about all the veterans this Memorial day.

Amazon Studios was launched in 2010 as a way to view films and program series. It works in 2 ways.
They are launching a new pre-school series just for kids.
The series is called Tumble Leaf! Each episode will feature Fig, a blue fox who lives in a shipwrecked schooner ship by the sea. Fig is accompanied by his best friend Stick, a caterpillar who lives in a basket strapped to Fig’s forearm. Together they discover friendship, adventure and love all around.
The series will teach valuable lessons:
The series will launch on Amazon Prime Instant Video on May 23, 2014
*** The series is so cute and informative. My kids really enjoyed it, although I think it is more for the younger crowd. The animation is great, but it is a little similar to other animation.
You can watch the pilot episode for Tumble Leaf and other Amazon series here.
