How Do You Shred Stress During The Holidays

The Holidays are Always a stressful time of year for me. The kids never behave, my husband has finals and I’m left with everything shopping cooking the whole 9 yards.

Crowded stores and rude people I can handle ( I live in NY and deal with them everyday).  If I could Shred stress this holiday season it would be getting my husbands finals over. So I won’t have to keep the kids out of his hair, and he won’t be stressed out. Another thing I would like to shred is Holiday cards and thank you cards. My life is so busy right now, I just don’t have time for a personalized thank you to 20-50 people. Not to mention all the cards and letters that I need to find a place for.

Zhu Zhu Pet Playdate

We were able to host a Zhu Zhu Pet playdate at our house, we don’t know many people in our neighborhood yet so we just had our neighbors over.

We received a Zhu Zhu pet salon, clothes and purses as well as Zhu Zhu pets. Since we had to boys at the party I also got out the Kung Zhu battle arena I already had.

The girls had so much fun being able to dress up their Zhu Zhu Pets and pamper them.

I have more pictures, I just need to find my other Camera. Stay tuned for more.

Disclosure: No compensation was received products were supplied by Mom Select.

Holiday Giving With Build A Bear(Giveaway)Closed

Today I attend a Holiday Giving Gathering at Build A Bear in NYC. It was great being able to bring my family along and teach my children about giving back to the community. At the event I was joined by other Bloggers, News Media and Marines(Toys For Tots), Plus the special geust was Jordan Urbach, NY’s huggable Hero.

I have never been to Build A Bear in NYC, my children and I were very excited about getting to see the biggest Build A Bear in the world. The store was so big and even had a downstairs. The day started out with the store manager and Jordan talking about Charity and what we were going to be doing.

Did you know:

  • 95% of People(mostly women) believe the holidays are a good time to encourage children to be charitable.
  • 68% have family traditions that focus on helping others.

Then we were able to make the Champ Bear and donate it to Toys For Tots

The event went great, and the donation bins were full to the top. It was great being able to give back and being able to teach the kids about giving back and how important it is.

Right now when you visit Build A Bear and make a cuddely friend you can choose to donate $1 or more donation to support Toys for Tots at checkout or online at www.buildabear.com.

Bullying in my life and my views

This is a post that not a lot my agree with but this is how i feel.

First off, tackling gay bullying. I don’t see anything wrong with a woman loving a woman or a man loving a man. At least they found love and are happy. That is all that should matter.  In my high school at least 30% if not more were lesbians or gays. It was perfectly fine, I’ll even admit I kissed a girl in High school. You going to come bully me now? Leave people alone, why is it any of your concern what is going on in someone elses life?

Next I was bullied all my life, elementary school, jr high, high school. I hated it, I was bullied for having crooked teeth, glasses, having a boyfriend, being poor. It got so bad that I started cutting myself in high school I wanted to die. After my first year of high school, the entire office knew my mom by name and were terrified of her. The school started taking my bullying situation more seriously, but it started taking place off campus and got worse.

I Still don’t have a lot of money, I still have crooked teeth, You going to make fun of me now?  The funniest thing is some of my bullies are in jail, on drugs or have no life.

Let one of my children ever get bullied and you can bet your ass I will be at that kids house or in the office at school raising hell.  Suicide and killing sprees should not be an option for these poor kids that are made fun of everyday.

Whats your take on bullying?
