Gossip Girl Season 3

Gossip Girl has been on for 3 seasons, and I try to catch as many episodes as I can.   We try to limit our television time.   I am totally stumped on who Gossip Girl is maybe Jenny, or Serena. I also think though that maybe the character is not a woman, just maybe voiced by a woman. Serena’s younger brother has been a sheltered character who commit suicide, maybe it was all a set up, and it’s him.

Buy Gossip Girl Season 3 tomorrow.

“I have been hired by Warner Bros WBWord division to raise awareness for Gossip Girl: The Complete Third Season – which arrives on Blu-ray/DVD on August 24. Pre-order your set, and unlock an exclusive show clip by playing the Gossip Girl game here: http://bit.ly/cx8nDx!” I also received a advance copy of Gossip Girl season3.

Moon Dough Your Way To Building

Moon Dough never dries out so you can use it again and again! Makes amazing & detailed 3D creations that kids will love to create and play with! Magic Molding. Unlike traditional dough, it does not stick or stain to material. Comes in 8 colors.

*****  This is nothing like play doh, the dough actually feels like powdered sugar. It stays for about 5 seconds and then falls apart, and it is extremely messy. I wasn’t to happy about the big mess afterwards. Its hard to use it again, because it breaks up into little pieces.  When the dough is put into the little barn it does make chickens and goats, which was fun for the kids. They never really turned out right though. My kids liked this product, but I am not to fond of it.

Back To School Lunch Packing Tips

With school starting here are some tips for packing your kids lunch

  1.   Consider packing foods that are nonperishable and won’t require refrigeration.
  2. If you do pack perishable foods such as luncheon meats or prepackaged cheese & crackers, include a frozen gel pack or a frozen juice carton with the food in an insulated lunch bag or box.
  3.    Preparing lunches the night before and storing it in the refrigerator until you pack your child’s lunchbox in the morning can help keep food cold longer the next day.
  4. Don’t reuse packaging materials such as paper or plastic bags, aluminum foil, etc. as they can contaminate other foods and cause foodborne illness. Have your child discard all used food packaging and paper bags after lunch.
  5. Don’t overpack to much food, just what your child will eat.
  6. make sure your child washes hands before lunch and snack time for at least 2o seconds.

Back To School Safety

There is a new law taking effect in New York to protect our children on their way to school.

This story was just told to me today, but already it’s very dear to my heart.

last September, a little girl named Elle was on her way to preschool when she was hit by a driver who had illegally back through an intersection in search of a parking space. Elle spent weeks in a coma, had a stroke and lost most of the left side of her brain. The driver only received a slap on the wrist – a minor traffic ticket. Elle was three and a half at the time and doctors prepared her mother for the worst.

Elle has made a miraculous recovery and will be returning to school this fall, but many children have not been as lucky. The summer is long and drivers often forget that come fall, the streets will once again swarm with children heading to and from school. When a traffic accident involves a child, it is a tragedy that affects the entire family and its community. Unfortunately, in the majority of states in the US, there are no laws in place to deal with reckless drivers who are not under the influence of alcohol who harm pedestrians. New York, where Elle was struck, is one of those states. Because the driver who hit Elle was not drunk, he would not be punished beyond a minor traffic ticket. Elle’s mother was told that the only thing she could do is sue him.

Elle’s mother, Heather Vandenberghe, took a different approach.   Instead of suing that one driver and receiving only limited compensation for a life that is priceless, Heather decided to take action to protect other children from being the victims of careless drivers and pushed through legislation that would create harsher penalties for reckless driving.

Friday Aug. 13 Gov. Paterson signed Elle’s Law into law. Under the new law any driver who causes physical harm to a another person will lose their license up to a year.

**I think it should be so much more. This story means so much, because I was hit by a car at the age of 9, and just like Elle I had a stroke lost control of my left side and even broke bones and suffered head injuries. In the state of AZ the guy who hit me didn’t even get a ticket, it was my fault, that I didn’t stop in the road, according to police.  So much more needs to be done to those who are irresponsible drivers.

Please talk with your children about being safe while walking to school.

I received a Princess Lunchbox and a princess meal set.

****This lunch bag made my daughters eyes light up, when we she saw it. We decided that it may be better for ud to just pack her lunch everyday since she is such a picky eater, (maybe healthier too).  The Princess lunch bag is the perfect size, reuseable,  and would make any little princess proud to take her lunch to school. The meal set is dishwasher safe and perfect for those little hands. I do think the plate is a little to small, we could barely fit all of dinner on it.

Retail: $19.99 for lunchbox and meal set together at Amazon
